You Nigerians should wake and smell the coffee. Evans' story was simply a stunt to distract Nigeria. How many Nigerians can afford to pay $1million as ransom and not make noise? If Evans confessions are genuine and he was truly hitting it this high, then you should know that he had access to the top echelons of the society - meaning he has high-level connection to know who's worth $1m or even $100,000 in Nigeria and how best to kidnap them. Now, for anyone who can afford $1million for ransom, you think the person's car, home and security will not be top-notch? Bullet proof car, 24/7 security and all. Given Evans' connection, you think his Oga At The Top would have allowed him to be arrested knowing the implication of such on their reputation? Abeg, this is just another diversionary tactic by this APC government. Check out all the weak comments and cheap points APC has been trying to score with this intentional development. Check out the comments of his supposed wife, parents and neighbours and see the lacuna. See the Evans sef, person wey dey collect big money dey look like hungry buffoon? Naija we hail, APC you try. |
Kemi isn't only mentally derailed, she's socially and spiritually daft. |
First, the banks don't determine the exchange rate when doing direct withdrawal via Upwork. I presume an average rate is reached between the interbank and parallel market rates. As at Wednesday [28/06/2017], the direct withdrawal rate was N332.49/$. Mind you processing fee is $0.99 as against $2.50 or on Payoneer. [ Just consider your options and what works best for you...I like to avoid exchangers' wahala, hence, I turn to the direct payment option]. I currently have a Diamond Bank account linked account. So, I can 'categorically' say if any of those banks will/won't be compatible with Upwork's direct withdrawal policy. Hope this helps...Best! masterz: |
Tabbaz, chill for yourself. Your intervention on this isn't valuable. First, there's no lingering issue warranting a third party. Secondly, your portrayal of my personality in bad light if worrisome to say the least. By the way, those who you call 'recommended exchangers', were they born with that title? Apparently, they grew into it. You guys should stop this act of cabalism and monopoly. The same thing you bash the ruling class for is what you're practicing in a small social domain like this. And for your info, I'm not an exchanger and I'm not planning to be one, at least not at the moment. Till I decide otherwise, don't try and tarnish my reputation nor cross my path for unwarranted cause. All the best, brov! Tabbaz: |
NO! The troubles of managing a foreign account on Upwork is too much. Simply grow your Nigerian profile. I got pretty active on Upwork in March 2017. Before then, people contacted for my then specialised niche with an average rate $25/hour but a look at the exchange rate then, didn't motivate me to accept the offer or press forward on Upwork, until recently. Now, the narrative has evolved. supergata: |
Brov! The everything needed for success is readily available. In my summation, it revolves 3 core areas: Skills, Technology and Values. Skills covers your proficiency in your chosen field/niche. You constantly need to be on top of your game. Be ready to invest in essential professional skills. Learn, unlearn and relearn. Technology addresses your need for cutting edge tools and techniques to excel. Be ready to research, buy and explore. Finally, you need to define your style. What values will shape your professional conduct, think client relations. Define your price range and some other essentials. Also, you need patience, prayer and faith in God. For instance, this thread has loads of valuable insight, just take your time to read back. Wish us all the best! siralexis: |

It's exciting reading these comments. Indeed, Tope was an awesome workmate with clarity of purpose and honest intentions. His drillings no be here ooon. Thought I was one maverick writer until I submitted my first article to him and saw all red markers. I couldn't help but laugh for some 10 minutes. My thoughts revolved around 'who could this guy be to have been able to highlight such load of error in my piece...He really must be good'. Next, I was excited about the future with him, knowing the drillings would make for a better me. Oh! To add to that, the pay was moderate. But after couple of weeks, I goofed on one of the articles. Why? I wasn't in the right frame of mind and health and bros needed the piece done within 24 hours (normal thing, right?). Well, that led to the dissolution of a promising working relationship between Tope and I. Trust Naija nau. We've moved on and God's been faithful to his words. My current rate on Upwork is $15 for 500 words. Except I just wan attract the buyer na hin I go give am $5 discount. My experience with Tope reinforced the need for on-going training and upgrade of one's skills irrespective of the attained heights. In all, I'm certain there's still more to be earned. Best! |
Better Photoshop! Newborn kids can't be that tall nau. Also, check out Beyonce's foot...Look behind Jay z, too. |

![]() Hilariously ironic. You speak of ethical conducts and here you are jumping out of youself. Be reminded that this is a public place and you can't decide whether or not to mentioned it talked to. Your best option to avoiding that is the exit this forum or keep mute. sunboy: |

Can't recall how I fixed the W-8BEN tax document but you can get insight by reading the thread backwards...It's nothing too serious. You can actually use both payment methods. The Direct Payment works fine when the exchange is high...you wouldn't even need an exchanger. You can add both and see when which works best for you. wamiikechukwu: |
