Fashion / Re: The Truth Behind Wearing Of Waist Beads By Women (Photos) by tolajay: 11:17pm On Feb 27, 2021
How's wearing beads ungodly?

Make a very objective and godly justification for your statement.

Mind you, there's something called the law of intent and usage.

Do you know that some false pastors and prophets use Jesus' name and the Bible to perform miracles? Does that make the Bible and Jesus voodoo priests?

That you've seen some people abuse the use of beads with voodoo doesn't mean every user is out for same mission. It's just an ornament like your ring, headgear et al. Your problem is only where it is affixed, and it's a problem of your immoral instincts.

What you should be worried about is how people who use them conduct themselves in public. The waist is suppose to be a private area of the body not for public display, hence, you wouldn't even know if anyone is wearing a waist bead or not.

Open your mind and stop being a religious extremist.

All these myopic godliness and plastic Christianity without power or result to change the world, won't help anyone in this age and time.

Zeal without knowledge destroys.

Jashub:
Kindly tell us why any rationally-thinking woman would stoop to such an ungodly practice. Also tell us why this practice cannot have fetish intentions attached to it.

Being a Nigerian in this age and time is mentally draining.

No ray of hope or happiness.

I'm wondering how the newsmen and politicians live in the day and sleep at night.

God help this country!

Hello,

How did you pay for the NMC UK online?

Did you use a Nigerian card? My card is been declined.

raphok1:
Good Evening Fam. Please does anyone know about this stage in the new NMC UK process? I want to know if one still has to contact NMCN for this "Regulator verification". I already contacted them (with the 17,500 naira payment) during the earlier "qualification Regulator verification" and "evaluation". Pls I need an explanation. Thanks

Something is up with quintessential investment right now. The response I am getting from my account manager is "They've refused to pay me". They haven't paid returns since January and they've disabled their comments on all platforms.

People that invested directly with them and not an account manager are in a more difficult situation.

Career / Re: What Are My Chances Of Making It As A Lawyer In Nigeria? by tolajay: 12:57pm On Feb 19, 2021
First, you can succeed in whatever career if you practice it with competence (excellence) and consistency.

Secondly, expand your benchmark above Nigeria. The world is now a global village. New career niches are evolving; AI Law and Corporate Law, et al. Think of being a global professional.

Thirdly, beyond academic qualifications, you need distinctive soft skills to succeed in this age.

Best wishes.

MoneyMusthear:
Hello Nairalanders,

I've been here for a while now and having evaluated certain things on the forum I think I'll get the sincerest of answers to my question.

I intend to study law; I'm good with my English, have a formidable sense of logical and critical reasoning and naturally charismatic. These should be the basic requirements for intending lawyers( at least, according to the naive me).

Academically, I will humbly say I know my worth: with the beyond-basic knowledge of Government, a fair knowledge of the mechanics of politics and the ability read without wearing out, I suppose a lawyer is in the oven, soon to be baked.

However, my very close confidant advised me to drop the dream and seek something viable. My mother who have not had much to do with lawyers and who believe them to be just hungry folks scavenging for cases from one police station to another doesn't think it's a good shot.

Now, I plead we leave sentiments aside. Be critical with your reply and please, let your comments not be made out of prejudice.

What are my chances of making it as a lawyer in today's Nigeria?

PS: You might have better options for me, like migrating to a computer-related course or learn a soft skill. I've gotten much of that . Just kindly answer the question.

Thanks in anticipation.

Many people will learn too.

People resent what they don't understand, but change is inevitable.

Few decades back, most of the present mainstream financial/investment instruments were non-existent. Stocks, Bonds, Banks and all, are only an improvement of existing systems.

Now, it's time for the old order to be revamped but many won't like it.

Someone/persons conceived the idea of stocks, banks, bonds and all. Now, we have some advancements on those ideas.

Let's not be too comfortable with the status quo. The future holds more. With open-mindedness and curiousity, we'll enjoy!

Innovate OR DIE of frustration.

Interesting conversation.

I will you go and understudy someone already doing this to better understand.

You can even book a session with an experienced consultant on this.

Don't just stumble through scattered information on a public forum. Invest in yourself before you start the business.

Best!

Really?

Where in Ideato South?

The OP mentioned Ideato North and South as being affordable, but it seems your personal experience paints otherwise.

Evii:
Sir, your article is false reason been that my immediate younger brother married from Ideato South 2019 Dec and the list alone was over N800k(marathon) and the pride price was N20k which they refunded N10k upon payment but the main money has been collected behind closed doors(a week before the deal day)...they even ask use to monetize all the items on the list which we agreed. Imo state girls are expensive my guy don't paint it.

I'm interested.

Looking forward to more details.

WUdec:
How many of you would pay for a full 1 month course on Data Science using Tableau Desktop Professional, Power Bi, Matlibplot, MySQL and Excel for 50k?

All programs will be installed on your laptop (which you would be required to bring to class) and you'd be grilled intensively and strictly on practicals. And preferably working off your external hard drive to speed up processing time.

Plus an elective of a free Spanish Language class 3 times a week for students to appeal to a foreign market and analyse data in other languages.

Certificates of completion would be achieved in the end.

Thinking of running one this summer. If i can get 10 serious students, I may consider setting it up.

Doing a 3 month course in Lagos costs 200k -250k+ based on research and i figured its too much for grads with little to start off.
