Oligarch:I quite agree with the above. it works in my marriage, and majority of the time, he is quite right as i tend to judge or make decision emotionally. |
What is so wrong being submissive to your husband? Why is being submissive a bad thing. I know people have come to term it has being a door mat to a man but that isn't true.It is position of strength whether you chose to believe it or not. Being submissive is to be respectful of your role ( BTW the role is not defined by society but by the couple, and it is very unique to their relationship) as a wife and his as your husband. Only strong women and not weaklings can truly be submissive to a man. |

Question? What are the cars for ![]() |
![]() Sad very sad indeed!!!!!!!! 500 more expected in days || The campaign machinery of former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida is set to take the nation by storm. A few days ago, the IBB Presidential Campaign Organisation took delivery of 500 vehicles consisting of 250 Prado jeeps and 250 Toyota Camry saloon cars, Leadership Sunday has learnt. The cars are now parked at a location in Abuja, said a source close to the campaign group. Leadership Sunday was also told that the last batch of 500 vehicles (250 Prado jeeps and 250 Camry cars) will be added to the lot, making a total of 1, 000 vehicles. General Babangida, who was the country's leader between 1985 and 1993, has indicated his desire to contest the presidential election on the platform of the PDP. He has also been a vociferous advocate of the PDP zoning policy: the party had zoned the presidency to the North after Olusegun Obasanjo's eight years. Obasanjo was succeeded by Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who died on May 5, this year, and Dr Goodluck Jonathan took over according to the dictates of the Nigerian constitution. Some members of the PDP, including General Babangida, insist that the PDP should maintain the zoning arrangement for the 2011 elections. Relevant Links * West Africa * Nigeria President Jonathan's supporters, including the recently selected national chairman of the ruling party, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, have maintained that the zoning arrangement is not sacrosanct, especially after the force majeure (Yar'Adua's death) that changed the bargain. Other likely aspirants within the PDP include General Aliyu Gusau (rtd), the current national security adviser; former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar; Dr Bukola Saraki, governor of Kwara State; and Alhaji Danjuma Goje, governor of Gombe State. The PDP governors obviously hold the key to the party's ticket. But it is doubtful if all of them will support the same candidate during the primaries. Another source close to the IBB presidential Campaign told Leadership Sunday that, if it becomes clear that General Babangida will not get the PDP ticket, he and his supporters will move en masse into another party, probably the ANPP. By Benjamin NJOKU If there’s anything, Richard Mofe Damijo, RMD misses most, since he joined the political terrain of Delta State as the Commissioner in charge of Culture, it’s his love for the make-believe world. Although, he still finds time to interact with some of his colleagues in the acting profession, the attraction of the stage remains one of the greatest prices he has to pay so far for veering into politics. The thorough-bred actor who was in Lagos, last week, where he represented Governor Uduaghan, at the unveiling ceremony of the third edition of the National Comedy Awards, said “I miss the acting profession. But I still find time to mentor a lot of the youths and interact with many actors. I have resolved that at least once in a year I will climb the stage to perform.” Richard Mofe Damijo, RMD “I am not just an actor, but I’m a man blessed with several talents. Besides acting, I’m a playwright, poet, publisher, lawyer, entrepreneur, and most recently a politician. “Acting is the medium which I used to define myself. I have my hands tight on so many things.” While expressing his gratitude to Governor Uduaghan for providing him the platform to serve his people, RMD posited that Delta state is the home of comedy in Nigeria. He also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Opa Williams of Virgin Promotions for his contribution to development of the comedy industry. “Opa Williams has done well for the industry and I’m very proud to be associated with what he has done to uplift the comedy industry ” The organiser of the yearly awards, Opa Williams, better known as the father of comedy in Nigeria said, “Taking Comedy Home” is the theme of this year’s awards. According to him, about ten categories of awards will be given out to deserving practitioners. The third edition of the Comedy Awards holds in Asaba, the Delta State capital on August 27. Leilah:Leilah, you really need to get a real life. What's up with you, the Naija woman and the culture?. You are forever making baseless assumptions about different topics to maybe make you feel better about your low-life self. I am just absolutely irritated by you and your stupid comments posed as questions. Respect your self and stop generalizing over here. it is really shameful. You really need to give your fingers a rest as you make no sense at all. Okay ![]() |
July 4th, so refreshing to see other folks with my date. BTW I had a great on special day. ![]() |
What started off like rumours initially, can now be confirmed by HVP. Mercy Johnson is getting married and any moment from now the screen queen will walk down the aisle with her heart throb in a marriage many believe will be the most talked about in the movie industry in recent times. Mercy, we reliably gathered has fixed the traditional wedding on her birthday 17th of August and efforts are geared toward achieving this date. Our source however declined to make further comment about the marriage Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Guinks Investment, one of the producers based in Asaba, Mr. Uzo Godson Nwaosu has frowned at the frequent negative reports against Mercy, describing such reports as “wicked and malicious.” Mercy, according to him, remain one of the best actresses in Nollywood today who desires to be celebrated and not to be condemned in the pages of newspapers and magazines. “Mercy has a large heart. She’s humble, kind and well-behaved. She’s the best actress to work with, here in Asaba,” he muted, adding that Mercy will soon get married to the shame of her critics. The Kogi state-born actress, confirmed her marriage to HVP, in a telephone chat. “Yes, I will be getting married soon.” she gushed. Last year, rumour mongers had it that Mercy was getting married to her lover of many years, but she was quick to counter the stories. As the most sought-after-actress in Nollywood at the moment, Mercy has been a consistent victim of negative reports in the media. Yet, the harmless actress has remained herself, resolute and unbending in the course of pursuing her career in acting. She once declared “ I pay no attention to all the nonsense that has been written about me.” Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2010/07/02/mercy-johnson-set-for-the-altar/

Ujujoan:You most likely are wrong, We don't know the Guys background, as we all know things are not always what it seems. I went through exactly what the said person is going through. My hubby refused to discuss the issue at all for a long time. He was loving to me but gently I would ask and very quickly he would clam up. Until we were at a movies watching a movie and there was a scene which triggered I guess a traumatic memory, looked beside I head a moan and it was coming from my hubby, he was sobbing so hard, we had to leave. Sat outside and he finally broke down and described what I could call a nightmare of a childhood. Anyway, I guess it just hurts to much to talk about it, So again, the lady would just have to stand by her man as long has he is everything she wants in a man and wait till that breakthrough moment comes for him. If not she is only going to get a stone wall. Or she might lose a perfectly good man. Patience is a virtue, she is going to need a lot of it if she wants to be with him. Shalom |
