My mummy married at 34 and yet was able to sponsor me. She was 55 when I graduated University at 20 nd my dad 58. So let nature take it's due course and I have a 1 year old sister. There was a heavy traffic as a man who preaches during the day at Choba along Uniport junction popularly known as Uniport Pastor by the students of the University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) was seen in what looked like a combat with a man who also happens to be a preacher and a member of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Church.

According to what was seen, the Lord’s Chosen preacher was accusing the Uniport preacher of not being a man of God and was abusing God’s word.

In his words. “you will reap what you sow, because you’re not a man of God, repent. Give your life to God”. The Uniport Preacher however accused the Lord’s chosen preacher of being an adulterer and said he was betraying Christ.

So imagine a student rocking dreadlocks with suits. No one stops anyone from rocking dreads but u might be asked to leave. Some students actually used indomie and egg business to pay part fees. It's covenant University fam. It's very easy to make money there.

what you don't understand is this it is not every one in covenant University that have rich parents. We also have some average students whose parents struggle to actually put them there because of the job opportunities after graduation and also the values being instilled there. Then we have those on David oyedepo scholarship. Then we have the wealthy ones. The funny thing is this no matter who ur parents are, if u have a carry over, that means extra year for you. No God can save u and if any wuru wuru is done for you. Las Las it's third class u will graduate with. I have watched it happen before.

Covenant University Sets Aside N4 Billion For International Staff Recruitment.


Covenant University, Ota unveiled its plan to recruit foreign faculty during the past administration of vice chancellor CK Ayo. The international recruitment drive is in line with Times Higher Education's(A leading Consultant In Higher Education) requirement for world class universities to have a minimum of 19% of her staff and students as foreigners.

The University would engage international faculty as either full or visiting staff. In the case of visiting staff, the lecturers would be required to lecture fully in CU for one semester(3 months) - minimum. After which they can relocate to their home countries' universities of primary assignment. The appointment of foreign staff would be renewable each year.

The University has set aside initial of about 10 million USD to recruit foreign faculty. However, Covenant University would focus more on foreign faculty of Nigerian descent. This maintains a balance between the pan africanist mandate and a desire to have foreign faculty from leading research institutions. The recruitment drive would also help to bring the university into the expected 7:1 student - staff ratio which it expects to have realised by 2022. This would help Covenant surpass Times Higher Education assessment of top 200 universities in the world which are found to have a 11:1 staff - student ratio.


According to Times Higher Education, Internalisation is proof of a university's reputation. And reputation is a proxy to quality, therefore internationalization remains a critical part of any university ranking process. Apart from that, Internationalization helps universities to be grounds of cross fertilization of ideas and melting pot of culture.

Covenant University is also looking to increase the allotment of International students to 19% of total student population.
The University's strategy for this is to use the existent infrastructure of her proprietor base in several African countries to aid increasing foreign recruitment of students.



In addition to this, the university would be translating to a major center for post graduate education with an overall 2:1 student population in favour of post graduate students.

For your information, how can lecturers be harassing students for grades especially the female ones, asking them for sex. I guess this is ur definition of being street wise. It's a pity that after the stress public University student go through, most of them will still end up without jobs, Every school, public or private has its disadvantages. I perceive envy, what is ur business between private and public. If u have the money, go to private if not find ur level. Everytime u would be bringing up topics dat won't benefit somebody. There are better topics that can be discussed. Las Las private students get better job opportunities, streetwise or not��. Brethren, the Lord demands that you live a life of purity. A life of total consecration to HIM.

To fulfill destiny - GOD's purpose for you on earth, you must live a life of purity. You must be pure in the open and in the secret.

To be pure means to be free or devoid of sin and iniquity.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Your heart is central to purity. What are your thoughts? Your thought determines your action. To live a life of purity, you must renew your mind with the Word of GOD on a daily basis. When you are idle in your secret place, What do you do? What do you think of?

Don't be idle, read the Word of GOD, a saying goes thus, " an idle mind is devil's workshop". Instead of staying idle, read, study and meditate on the Word of GOD.
Guide your heart with the Word of GOD.

Daniel and Joseph fulfilled destiny because they decided to be undefiled. They took GOD as utmost priority in their lives. The moment you begin to think of pleasing yourself and not GOD, then you are very much likely to fall - sin.

Who are you in the secret?

Only those who are pure are precious in GOD's sight because GOD hates iniquity and sin.

In Matthew 5:8; only the pure in heart will see GOD, this is because only the pure can live Holy. And it is through Holiness that a man can see GOD. Heb 12:14

Brethren, I enjoin you today to forsake all uncleanness, sin, iniquities and live a life of purity; purity in thoughts, in words and in deeds.

What you see, hear, think and those you associate with, GOD's place in your life, your fellowship with GOD determine if you will live a life of purity or not.

Questions to ponder on:

- Who am I in the Secret?
- Do I love GOD than myself?

There has always been heated arguments among Christians and Christian denominations as regards the position of the Bible on wearing of trousers by women. I also had been conflicted about this at certain stages of my development as a Christian but after thorough and thoughtful examination of this matter, I came to a conclusion and I will outline my own argument on this issue with this thread.

Deuteronomy 22:5 (KJV)
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.


This Bible passage above is where the entire controversy over appropriateness of Christian women wearing trousers or not emanate from

1. Note that it made not specifically talking about women wearing trousers, it does not even mention the word trouser as it wasn't even in existence then. It was talking about what we call Cross-dressing today so the question is should women wearing trousers today be seen as an example of cross dressing?

Trousers were not our clothing in this part of the world, it was a dressing we borrowed from western culture so if we are to determine if it is male or female clothing or not, we need to look to those that own the culture. From my research, the earliest appearance of trousers in human history were in Asia and much later in Europe and much of what we call the western world today.

The question is did women wear trousers in Asia and the western world or was it only for men? The truth is their women wore trousers and it is not a modern thing, they had been wearing trousers long before Christianity came to Nigeria. If Among the people that invented this trousers, women wear trousers, how did Africans who borrowed the culture come to conclude that it is only a man's wear? There are lots of evidence in historical arts that women wore trousers as far back as even before Jesus came.

2. Deuteronomy 22 is a Chapter with 30 verses all giving commandments to be obeyed by the Israelites in those days. They include commandments like,

Verse 9: Do not plant two kinds of seed in your vineyard; if you do, not only the crops you plant but also the fruit of the vineyard will be defiled.

Verse 11: Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together.

Verse 12: Make tassels on the four corners of the cloak you wear e.t.c

The chapter even advocates for the stoning to death of a woman found not to be a virgin on her wedding night. So my question is why do some Christians zero in on only verse five and try to condemn people with it? Why not advocate for the implementation of the entire commandments in that chapter of the Bible? After all, Jesus said if you fail in one, you have failed in all.

My advice to Christians is that Jesus came and became a fulfillment of the law, in other words, he fulfilled all the requirements of the law and introduced an era of grace where it is faith in Him and not observance of the law that brings salvation. It is a deception by the enemy to make us believe that after receiving salvation by grace through faith in Christ, we need to maintain that salvation by trying to observe all old testament laws and commandments.
