SangoOlukosoOba: Nothing good comes easy!
If Nigerian universities want to compete, they must be autonomous, and students must pay their fair share
Nigerians are the only class of people who want their country to overtake the US, UK and Canada, but not ready to pay their fair share like citizens of those countries.
Also, Nigerians demand instant change and never ready to make sacrifices for gradual change. Lolz. Go and consult your family members about the school fees hike. Maybe you wull wake up from your stupidity after that. You are a 100% lost soul |

Tinubu, hasn't paid corpers, leaving them to suffer. Since you have a Muslim president and vice, I was expecting that they would treat you Muslim corpers with preference by paying you earlier than others, especially in the spirit of Salah Why is your fellow Muslim brothers doing you lai dis nah? Yoruba corpers, why are you in the same boat as those Igbos you hate with passion?! Shouldn't you receive payment before those"disgusting" Igbos that want to steal Lagos from you in?! At least, you should be able to use your Yoruba Ronu ATM card to receive free money for Salah since your brother is the president. Is like Tinubu doesn't really care about you anymore Is it not disturbing that your tribalism and religion bigotry haven't achieved anything since you are now suffering the same thing as those "hated" Igbos. Una eye go soon clear. |

damocool: I ain't a salvation ministery member.. Seek knowledge from pastor ibiyeomie, and stop misquoting the scripture.. Even if I actually called you a sinner, I ain't out of place, your responses alone depict who you really are.. And you can be holy, Just read up ur Bible new testament sir. You should be more interested with the way i never bothered to reply your abuses.. I am way different from you. If ibiyeomie is knowledgeable himself, he won't climb alter and start condemning people over how they worship God. He displayed senselessness and mental irresponsibility. Have you consulted your head and ask if you can convert people by abusing them, you mentally daft, stupid Christian? And, dear, idiotic Christian, you can't know if you are Holy until the last day. That's why many will say "I prophecy in your name," (thinking they have lived a Holy life), but Jesus will answer by saying "I know you not, you worker of iniquity...." Only a foolish Christian will declare himself Holy as if he has arrived. Peter thought he was holy until Paul challenged him, exposing his hypocrisy to him (Galatians 2:11-13). "No one is Holy, no not one". Not even pastor ibiyeomie. You better be wary of deceptive gospel teachers and stop behaving like a hapless slave to so-called men of God. |

Politics › Re: Why Is Nigeria Still Borrowing Despite Subsidy Removal? by tonytony208(m): 12:14pm On Jun 28, 2023 |
nairalanda1: Two reasons
1.Oil prices are not where we want them to be
Oil is around 76 dollars per barrel. Our economy needs it above 100 dollars per barrel before we can even talk about having enough money. Previously oil has been as low as 30 dollars, even as low as 20 dollars per barrel.(Our fiscal breakeven is between 103-130 dollars per barrel as at 2021).
When oil prices are below the fiscal breakeven for Nigeria...we have to borrow ..
2. Debt servicing is taking about 60% of our budget.
When that happens, we still have to spend more and more money covering the hole in the budget...and that comes from more loans, worsening our debt.
Subsidies worsened the debt over time, because annual rising subsidy costs meant that the defcit in the budget rose and rose and rose...meaning we had to take loans to cover the debt. And the fun part...we still owe NNPC money in subsidy claims in trillions of naira.
And here we are still taking loans. Our economy needs it above 100$ because of increased government expenses, a huge percentage of which is the subsidy. Now that subsidy has been removed, that expenditure should have fallen drastically from June, 2023. So, no excuse to borrow |
