coleon: My dear friend the govt has thought this through and i can tell you a genuine manufacturer that intends to import machineries for manufacturing will get FX at the official rate of 197naira to a dollar through LC's, i am saying this as a professional trader that does international trades day in day out in a commercial bank. The only set of people the govt has pushed to the black markets are people like you that erodes our economy without any production capacity making us imports toothpicks, soaps, plastics e.t.c and i support the govt fully on this. Nigeria need to take this tough decision , you said importation has never been the issue and you got likes, stop misinforming the public because of your pain to get cheap FX because over-importation is actually bad for any economy and it's the very big issue here in Nigeria because this is what has put so much pressure on our foreign reserves and it's making the exchange rate to sky rocket. We need to stop this importation madness ASAP and export more finished products other than crude oil. Someone on the front page should please quote the comment above as well as the comment quoted by coleon, more people should see this and not the misinformation currently put there by grandstar on importation. cc: Demmocrats, Mynd44 |

Besides, no orals for MSc....that's just for PhD and the latter DO NOT write aptitude test. Cheers You are right except for the two weeks part. The last test was combined for 2012 and 2013, written in Dec. 2013 and released 7 months later in July 2014. |

stolid: These people should just say there is no vacancy rather than play mind games, and use applicants to accrue cheap political points. My thoughts exactly! Just finished mine, there wasn't even enough seats for applicants; some had to sit on makeshift chairs/tables. Questions were obviously lifted from one Indian website with a lot of typos, making references to non-existent figures among other things. |

MadCow1: Interesting Point to Note:: The Man has 2 wives.. So its okay for him to cheat and marry as many as he pleases but his Boo cannot have a Boo..
When that Man is caught, he should be tied up, and a hot Iron rod laced with Salt And Pepper inserted into his Anus.
Then a long hot needle also laced with pepper should be inserted into his penile cavity and then he should be shot in the shoulder and jailed for 10 years.
If he survives the torture you listed. |

A. Was/was.
Tense: 'believed' goes with 'was' and not 'is'. Since believed was used for both parts of the sentence, the right answer would be 'A' in order to maintain the tense in which the sentence was made/written. |

how can u just fly in 100 from no where and dump in the equation when no value is given to any of the Zeros!
it must be a Nigeria engineer that did dis trashy calculation - that is why majority of houses and bridges they construct collapses before completion and, roads riddled with potholes 3 months after construction.
mumu + mumu = m2! Actually, you can use any number; a variable too will give you the same answer. The picture is just a funny way of showing the ingenuity of engineers. |

AustineE1: Why is there so much hate among Yorubas,if its not Modakeke vs Ife tribal war,or the Alaye boys in one street attacking the Alaye boys in another street,or the battle of touts on who governs a particular motor park, yoruba politicians vs their elders,Obas vs their followers,or the Odis in Ode refered as slaves by the so called Yoruba free born. This culture of hate is been transfered from their land to other innocent ethnic groups in Nigeria. The question is,why is their so much hate among the yorubas? Your bigotry has blinded you to reason, you see people coming here to condemn the terrible acts of a king who should be otherwise exalted and all you can think of is their tribe. |

standd: Being a TANOID is now synonymous to being hopeless? @first bolded, you need to ask yourself how important you really are in the grand scheme of things cos your being a doomsayer will not affect the hair on anyone's head, while at it, please remember that Nigeria is not the romance section of NL. @second bolded, how can a sane person even think about this? That your country is beyond redemption? What are you? So, if Jonathan's administration is reinstalled then the country will go back to being the paradise it used to be under Jonathan's administration? Pls, we understand that Nairaland helps to boost ego for some of you but take it easy with all your negativity and bitterness due to GEJs loss, cos whatever happens in Nigeria happens to each and everyone of us. How I wish you would permanently relocate to the politics section. |

NPComplete: Dude save your breath. There is no convincing these ones. Most of them are walking around like they got sticks up their as..es. Even a simple grammatical correction that all should smile about and move on becomes the source of needless squabbles. I guess they are probably more desperate than some of us. Or they think that excessive seriousness and a dour disposition guarantees the job. Some probably have never gotten to such stages in recruitment before and are all tensed up. For me, I have elected to enjoy myself all the way. And anyone who has got more jokes or anything to share, please do. If I see what I don't like I just ignore it. I don't go around whining. I prefer this thread remains lively as we remain hopeful. If u dont like what u see, use the unfollow link and follow back whenever u so choose. Just don't expect us to cater to ur expectations. Cheers guys. You've said it all. While the joke may or may not be funny to all, making an issue out of it is even more unserious in my opinion. This is a public forum, the best response would have been to ignore (as you rightly pointed out) rather than dedicate over two pages of a topic to a 49-word comment (yes, I counted). |
