@ contributors,
this thread is about allegations against nigeria's human rights record etc, and not about bush, the republicans or the americans. angry why do we change topic whenever there is an allegation that we can't defend. like fani kayode does. is what they said about nigeria true? angry. that's what we should be discussing.

it shouldn't matter if the allegations were made by hitler or milosevic. what do we do about the allegations if they are true? angry

let us learn how to face facts in this country(nigeria) and not beating about the bush each time as we are wont to do. angry angry angry

ngige is going with pride. for an unpopular candidate who was rigged in to turn around and become a hero is a rare piece of

greatness. he has the respect of anambrarians and that is worth more than the stinking millions of illiterate uba. forever.

FORZA NGIGE

ngige has been removed from office and some people are shouting good for democracy.if his removal is b/c he rigged then it is good for democracy.but we all know why he has been removed. sad .nigeria stinks. i'm sorry to say this but NIGERIA STINKS. where in God's name is fairness, what about the other pdp govs. who rigged elections. where in 2003 was the election not rigged. again the people's wishes have been overturned.when the bubble will burst in that f--ked up country, it will fall with a great thud. i wont be there then. angry

@ toshmann
On the issue of corruption, check the details of the gross mismanagement of funds in Iraq. I was watching 60 minutes a few weeks back and it was stated that loads of physical cash (millions of dollars) disappeared in Iraq under American watch. Also they pointed out a lot of bogus contracts that were awarded to connected people. Some of the contracts were not executed but all the funds related to the contracts were disbursed. These things (corruption and human rights violations) happens in the western world too. I'm not saying this in defense of the Kleptocrats in power in Nigeria. They should face the consequence of the law for corruption.
shocked are u serious? shocked , well, i'm not interested in american corruption but in my country. ant allegation of corruption in nigeria should be looked into and not changing the topic(no matter where the allegation came from)

Politics › Re: Ten Reasons Why Third Term Is Necessary by toshmann(m): 1:56pm On Mar 14, 2006
i'm a strong opponent of the 3rd term, but what i read on thisday today made me annoyed. imagine governors are meeting in abuja to discuss the removal of the immunity and one unnamed governor has the temerity to say they are supporting obj but they fear he may hunt them after 3rd term thru removal of immunity so that many of the governors will be in jails and not govt houses.imagine the brazen insult to the nation. as bad as obj is(and i really dislike that man) methinks he is better than all those governors.if 3rd term is what it'll take to keep those baggers in jail,so be it.

but the bad thing is that the new constitution will survive the next president.by 2030 we must have had 5 more constitutions.

what a shame

As a doctor he should not find it hard getting a visa again or try the Uk if the yankee are as mad as they act
my dear u.k has blocked the road for foreign doctors. it is easier to get a u.k visa as a student than as a doctor. they will soon block the road for nurses too.

the west(us,uk,eu,canada, australia, new zealand)is tightening their grip on immigration.i tell u this.it is obvious in the air and what most people here in wales wont want to hear from foreigners is that you want to settle in their land.u feel it everyday,u are not welcome anymore,if they had their way the y would want most foreigners out.they may want to retain those who do menial jobs only.

my man blablabla,
life is a risk, make a choice and stand by it.if u choose nigeria,it is also fraught with a lot of risks.things can turn around suddenly in that unstable country.if u are not in PDP u are not sure of anything.if u choose to remain in the states. the worst that can happen is u live a low life for a few yrs and when u stabilise u would forget the past.as a doctor when u stabilise,i tell u, the sky will be ur limit.
how many doctors in nigeria are thinking of taking off?i guess u know the answer.

man, maintain,no mind them,u dey God's own country, debate no dey dis thing, find ur level and may God bless u

wink
