only if you know what that laptop and car symbolizes respectively. The girl with car has been settled. The car will not generete income to her. But the intelligent girl with laptop will see this opportunity as a key to read, browse , write down ideas that will fetch her millions if she works harder
Bulls-it angry
When will we start telling ourselves the truth. You, even you, aboyaji, will prefer a car to the laptop.
This is a simple case of society gone bad. Hoha! We reward s3xuality more than brains. Don't spin it or embellish it one way or the other. Why not give the brilliant girl a car to help her with transportation to school, library, laboratory, book fairs, exam centers etc. a car will make her life easier and more comfy and thereby enable better academic results. If she likes a laptop so badly, if in the unlikely event she doesn't have one already, he has the brains and the comfy car to think put a way of getting one.

Nnaa make una leave this matter. This world values the naked girl more than the brainy independent woman. It's not just Unilag, it's the whole damned world.

Welcome to the 21st century, and I love it cheesy
Politics › Re: Support Our Troops Not The Terrorists by toshmann(m): 10:48pm On Oct 06, 2014
GoNGRMilitary:
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS NOT THE TERRORISTS

At a time like this, when our troops are taking on Boko Haram and their allies, it is important we do not, knowingly or unknowingly, become tools for their propaganda machinery.

As much as the battle is on the field in certain sections of our country, these evil forces seek to control the media and use propaganda to demoralize Nigerians and propagate terror which is what their campaign feeds on.

We must make deliberate effort not to aid their campaign by not helping them spread fear and terror.

The videos they do, the news headlines they sponsor and the lies they propagate, we must not become their channel to propagate it.

Take a cue from the attached picture below. This is the way to handle terrorists and their propaganda campaign.

They seek attention, they seek to spread fear.

We are Nigerians not Boko Haram! We must take on Boko Haram as one.
You may not be in the field with our troop but you have a role to play.

#SupportOurTroops not the terrorists. This must be our song!
Unfortunately, approximately half of Nigerians support the terrorist one way or the other. That's why it's not going away anytime soon.
But they'll be eventually defeated.

Did you notice how those who always abuse the military with each boko haram attack fell silent when the military recorded some victories? Did you notice how the few of them who spoke out during that time spoke of only doubts if the real shekau was murdered? Questioning the victories and some even developed conspiracy theories about how the victories were stage managed to make way for easy PDP campaigns?
Did you notice how these same people suddenly came alive with the next boko haram attack and that fake pre-made shekau video claiming to be alive. None of them questioned the veracity of the shekau videos the way they question the veracity of Nigeria army statements.
FFK was right when he said there are people in this country who rejoice whenever boko haram strikes somewhere.

By the way, kudos to that newspaper that brought the news and not the propaganda.

Truth shall prevail. Come what may cool

However, I still give some kudos to the NA. It's not easy what they are doing. Especially when people still abuse them and refuse to appreciate them.

Politics › Re: Jonathan, PDP Can’t Claim Credit For Defeating Ebola — Governor Fashola by toshmann(m): 3:34pm On Oct 03, 2014
Fashola is right. It was team effort. Everyone played a part. Especially those who died in the process, Dr Adedovi, nurse Justina et al.

Also, Jonathan is right. If it went bad, only one person wil be blamed. So he has some moral ground to take some credit. There was also prompt fed govt response to this virus.

But in my opinion, we should have saved the virus in a controlled lab, mass produced it, and then drop it all in sambisa forest grin

Then mount our troops just outside the forest to gun down those trying to run away.

Romance › Re: Escaping The Friend Zone. by toshmann(m): 11:27pm On Sep 18, 2014
pasqal09: 1. Remove your Shoulder
The reason you're probably in the friend zone to begin with, is because you've always been the
shoulder for your crush to cry on.

2. Stepping It Up
Flirting may not seem like a new option to you, but if you're still in the friend zone then you're obviously not flirting effectively. Perhaps you're being too subtle, and he or she isn't even
noticing your advances. Or maybe your flirting comes across more as "just two friends goofing around". Either way, it's time to step it up a level.

3. Get Physical
It's time to introduce subtle touch as a flirtation method! It might sound a little scary, but physical touch is actually the most effective method of flirting.

4. Sample Dates
The benefit of being in the friend zone, as opposed to barely being acquainted with your crush at all, is that you can hang out with them one-on-one without it being weird. Use these hang-outs to do date-like activities, and you'll reintroduce the idea of a relationship to them.

5. Breaking The Stereotype
Chances are that you're being super nice and over-the-top sweet to your love interest, correct? Many guys or girls who end up in the friend zone fit into the stereotypical "nice guy / girl" category. While there's nothing wrong with being nice, the problem is that you most likely don't voice your opinions or say 'no' when you want

6. Favour Time
If you've been friend zoned, it's probably because you're the one who will always do anything they ask you to do. But do you ever ask them to help you out too? Chances are you don't in fear of them getting annoyed, but if you want them to value you as more than a friend, they're going to have to invest in the relationship too!

7. Healthy Competition
A little healthy competition has never been bad for anyone! If someone feels as though they could lose something, it all of a sudden becomes more precious to them. You probably make your crush a priority, but they've friend zoned you and made you an option.

8. Absence
You know the saying, "absence makes the heart grown fonder"! Your crush has got used to you always being there, and as a result, they've begun to take your presence for granted. It's only when we notice some distance between those we're close to that we begin to realize just how much their company means to us.

9. Make Over Time
your crush has probably friend zoned you because they've known you for a long time and they've become very used to who you are as a person. As a result, you may no longer seem exciting to them. So buy cool and great clothes in order to make yourself more attractive to your crush! Instead

10. Being Too Needy
Whether your crush is a guy or a girl, one thing is for certain. Nobody likes a needy person, whether they're your boyfriend / girlfriend or not! Neediness is the ultimate turn-off, and this could very well be a reason why you've been sentenced to the friend zone.

11. Just Say It
So you're stuck in the friend zone and you don't know why? Perhaps it's because your crush doesn't know you actually like them more than a friend! It might sounds scary, but one of the most important things you can do to escape the friend zone is just tell your crush how you feel in the hope that they feel the same way back.

But if you've tried absolutely everything,
including telling your crush how you feel but to
no success?
Better find your level and let go because staying
friends with someone who isn't romantically
interested in you when you have strong feelings
for them is going to begin to mess with your
mind after a while.
Tell them.
