The annoying thing was how the police force kept trying to malign the guy she shot, saying they found marijuana in his apartment. What does that have to do with him being an innocent victim?

Insurance fraud is everywhere madam.
Stop talking like This!
The question is not whether it is done everywhere - of course it is, the question is when you have MAJORITY of people in support of it, which is the case here.

We will always get crap leaders because they reflect who were are, warped mindset and values.

I don't have the energy to start doing back and forths with anyone. I stand by my statements - if anyone has a problem with it, too bad.
Car TalkRe: My Toyota Corolla For Uber Was Vandalized Yesterday by tot(f): 4:59pm On Oct 02, 2019
Business models that work elsewhere in the world always always have issues when it comes to Nigeria, even to basic ones like Uber. We should take a hard look at ourselves as a nation.

What a country.
Mschew.

Someone insinuated you are referring to me and I have been seeing people have palpitations over my post. No, I did nothing wrong. I don't pray for an accident, but if it happens and I get out alive...they will PAY. grin

I am not hot, the weather is cold here.
Someone insinuated and you claimed the insinuation? If you are convinced you did nothing wrong, then you wouldn't be claiming insinuations, as a guilty conscience needs no accuser.

And how do you know I slightly exxagerated claims? Did I say I did? I wanted my parts to come from Coscharis. Finally they gave me what they felt agreed with open market, so at what point did I scam them?

Yes, if someone bashes me again. I will be back for them to indemnify me, because I PAY PREMIUM. I am entitled to it.

You all should go face your leaders. Nothing concern my case and their own. Katikati
Why are you getting hot and bothered? The comment applies to anyone defending insurance fraud. If you are convinced you did nothing wrong, why are you quoting my comment and getting worked up?

The message is for ALL those defending fraud as I can see there are many of them here.

Deceptive country. Later we will say Nigeria at 59 hasn't achieved anything, how can it with such mindsets? What a shame.
Car TalkRe: My Toyota Corolla For Uber Was Vandalized Yesterday by tot(f):
For the benefit of doubt, insurance fraud can take different forms.

Insurance fraud is any act committed to defraud an insurance process. This occurs when a claimant attempts to obtain some benefit or advantage they are not entitled to. Types of insurance fraud are diverse, and occur in all areas of insurance. Insurance crimes also range in severity, from slightly exaggerating claims to deliberately causing accidents or damage.
So, continue filing frivolous claims simply because you pay premium. Kontinu. Nation of crooks.
Car TalkRe: My Toyota Corolla For Uber Was Vandalized Yesterday by tot(f): 1:57pm On Oct 02, 2019
I am waiting to see some people on this post accuse the government of being corrupt on another post or even call the country a shithole. Bunch of thieving crooks. A people gets the leaders they deserve truly and indeed.
CareerRe: Federal Mortgage Bank Sacks Murtala Ibrahim, Whistleblower by tot(f): 1:29pm On Oct 02, 2019
Neoteny:
This typifies the fundamental problem of Nigeria: corruption is deeply imbued in the populace, not just in government.

People bribe to get their way, they bribe cops, road marshals, school administrators, pay for exam malpractices, they forge vehicle documents, school certificates, bank tellers, people tamper with, or bypass, meters, people steal energy, they litter streets, they sell fake and adulterated goods, lie, cheat, steal and scam their way to success....then they turn around and say Nigeria is a shiithole.

Nigeria IS a shiithole....but someone dug that hole.
Words on marble.

That is exactly what Nigerians did... We had other young aspirants
Just to point out - young does not necessarily mean better, afterall we've seen what the likes of Yahaya bello are doing.

At the end of the day, it is up to people to demand for right leadership and this doesn't even start from the presidency but the basics like the local govt, law makers etc. Sitting down and calling the place a s***hole won't change anything, that was my point.

What is Duara contribution to Nigeria's economy that qualifies it for federal capital projects?

Duara is not a state capital, so what qualify it above all other towns to merit disproportionate federal projects

Thanks sir, i second you; indeed, i can do what the OP has just done, but i can also choose to show some good things, too. I would rather showcase the good while praying for peace for without peace there is no progress in any form. it is only we Nigerians that can fix Nigeria, coming here to be emotional and divisive just to earn "likes" from the 'bank full', of haters does not change the dire need for unity and peace. unfortunately, when men like FFK and Reno Omokri, keeps fanning the embers of hatred , strife and divisions we still have a long way to go. We all must see the continuance of the geographical landmass known as Nigeria as non negotiable and non debatable. moreover, if Jonathan or Atiku were to come back today, does that guarantee peace, harmony and progress which you and i crave like a thirsty man, water?
Co-sign.

I don't understand the purpose or value of this thread. Get people to castigate and malign the country, after that what next?! What exactly would that change?

Please tell them. There are slums even in the western countries yet you don't see them showcasing. Let's keep branding our country in a useless way and later blame others for seeing us that way.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria @59: 9 Pictures That Will Make You Weep For Nigeria by tot(f):
sreamsense:
Op, if you want to weep for Nigeria or yourself @59, you can keep weeping. It is your choice, others will have their own reasons also to celebrate! Among all the beautiful and positive pictures and events in Nigeria, these are the only ones you could find. The pictures do not reflect real Nigeria, there is no country of the world that do not have slum areas, poor people or problem they are facing internally. Even though we are not there yet as a nation, there are still rooms for improvement from government and all of us. Instead of carrying camera hunting for terrible events to snap, do little help practically to help people around you to get better lifes. No government can do it all. Trump many of us see as semi-god is facing his own with America, gun shooting and killing has increased in his first tenure despite tagging it as land of opportunity. We are the cause of our problems most times, when government provide chairs, some bad people and staffs will go and steal them and later blame government.

All of us should play our parts so we can have better Nigeria. Parents should give birth to children they have financial resources and moral capability to cater for, they shouldn't give birth recklessly and expect God to take care of them on their behalves.

Our leaders should play their parts well by governing right, entertainers should be good role models and they should stop modelling bad youths into our societies.

Government workers should desist from eye-service, they should work with fear of God. Doctors and lecturers should stop selling little equipment and drugs government provided to laboratories and hospitals. Jobless individual should be more hardworking and get lawfull plan B to get little income without engaging in stealing, kidnapping and other attrocity.

Poverty is never an excuse to engage in crime, we have poor people who do not engage in stealing while we have rich people with billions in their accounts who are still stealing and claiming other people's properties. Government should discharge his own duties and govern with constitution and fear of God. We will get there!
Totally agree. We as individuals have a role to play in making Nigeria better. Not just sit and blame the govt. In your own little corner Apeshy101 WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

The OP is just a pessimist. Is every hospital in Nigeria like that, is every school in Kwara state like that? Sensationalism will get us nowhere. After this thread, what next?

P.S. - please space your comment next time smiley, will be easier to read
