Our people need to understand the way the world work and that you don't run away from problems. You face it and deal with it. That's the only way to be in control of your destiny and narratives. |

Stop wishing or praying to get their passports until you have first cleansed yourself. If Nigerians can do to Nigeria what Canadians have done to Canada, then Nigerians in Canada would even wish to quickly come back home. Our problems are ourselves. And its deep in the blood. Sex for grades. Police and wey ya particulars? Sharing of loot by public offers. Systems not working so that they can extort. Who does all these? Nigerians. Thank you. Well said. Nigerians always looking to reap from another man's land. |

On what evidence will you be charged in court? Bro trust me all those boys are guilty as Bleep the innocent ones have been released.
PS - Clubbing doesn't mean you are irresponsible, wether it's Sunday or Monday night not everyone has a regular 9-5 job. It's in Nigeria that clubbing = a sin. Overly religious people who do not even keep the high standards they set for others. |

seguntijan: THE EARLY-MORNING BAIL RITUAL
Friday morning, neither the Crime Officer nor any other policeman asks me if I want to call anyone to process my bail — clear indication I probably will be arraigned in court. By then, I’d become all too familiar with the Police’s early-morning bail shenanigans. In each of the previous days, at least one police officer asked almost every inmate first thing in the morning if there was someone they wanted to phone — a relative, friend — just anyone who could potentially show up at the station with cash for bail. Those mornings were the only times every suspect had the immediate attention of the officers at the counter. Every other time was a struggle — but not that early-morning call. Meanwhile, in all those days, repeated pleas by one of my lawyers for bail were flatly rejected by the Police. Meanwhile bail is meant to be free? The depth of rot in the whole system called Nigeria is something else. Corruption in every sector. We can't make any progress like this. |

dominique: I don't want to believe they're ALL Yahoo boys. Some of them were just unfortunate to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. But then again, what responsible person goes clubbing on a Sunday night? By Nigerian standards perhaps. A person could be on leave from work the following week and choose to club on Sunday, or many other scenarios. Does that make them a criminal? We can be so narrow minded with how we judge people in Nigeria. |

smirn: You need to sow before you reap. The truth is that apart from mismanagement, the country don't have enough resources to provide adequate infrastructure for its large population. Every year we borrow to take care of our planned expenditures because the money we generate are never enough. Proper taxation will help this country to grow. An average Nigeria want everything but don't want to give out a anything. Oil money, oil money, where is it? How enough is it to take care of our uncountable problems in this country. A good look at our tax system and administration shows we are not yet ready for anything serious as a nation. The so called Don don't even have anything to show that he pays his required tax to the government. We talk too much in this country. Why should people face increased tax when existing tax hasn't been used for anything tangible or accounted for? Why? Did you see the roads after the rains the past couple of days? Nigeria has more than enough to go round, let the government address the mismanagement first, why should one keep pouring water in a leaking basket?! Not to mention the ridiculous borrowing this govt has done already, incurring future debts and still demanding an increase in tax. Nonsense. |

Zhuhilat: Dear All
Thanks for the advice, criticism and unfair assumptions.
I have read through almost everything and looking back, i know there are areas i need to work on. Like talking back, and generally being argumentative all the time.
Still, i know that nobody should be treated like trash especially your own wife.
I am working on myself for myself, not basically for the marriage because every time there’s always been an issue, i always blame myself.
But that load is too much , working on this marriage alone is killing me and making me depressed.
God loves me, my child and him too. He is going make our path clearer and however he does it, is fine by me. Thanks all. All the very best. Good luck. |

Hardworks from this context is utilized as a noun NOT as a verb.

The role of the church is to speak truth to power and he has done excellently well in that regard. With the level of investments the church has in Nigeria, if they speak, there will be earthquake in government.
The width and breadth of the Church in Nigeria cannot be estimated. The level of influence these churches wield should not be doubted. If they make a collective move against any government, nigeria will seize to exist.
