GeoAfrikana: Actually, it's not the amount that's the real issue. There are many products that cost more than #600k. But the issue is which value does it add to me that a #100k phone can't?
I think you get the gist.
Lalasticlala Exactly. Whether something is expensive or cheap is completely relative. It all varies according to the pocket of the person concerned. And we all measure value differently as well. |

genq: Your mothers are free to walk away if they can - but unfortunately many Nigerian women are unable to leave such marriages as they cannot fend for themselves otherwise. These women ( who contribute very little to the household) have no negotiating power in that marriage - so, they grow old and bitter and continue to leech of their husbands financially - then have the shameless guts to poison the gullible minds of the kids against the father.
Unfortunately, these naive kids then grow up conveniently ignoring the fact that their wonderful mother had no dignity or financial backing to be able to walk away from the so called polygamous father.
So my point remains, it is none of your business as a child. Or better yet, if the child has a brain, he/she should think objectively and ask their mother the REAL reason why she choose to remain in that marriage.
Btw, Midas01 learn to express yourself in an educated manner. The father should not think he will get away unscathed. For all actions, there are consequences. You can't treat the mother of your kids dishonourably and expect honour from those same kids. As you lay your bed you lie on it. There is nothing like it is none of your business as a child. |

With regards to other crimes, that's what we have the security agencies for...
Crime is crime, regardless of how severe it is... That was how drug running was the order of the day back then in America before certain leaders had enough and clamped down on it... No crime is to be tolerated. PERIOD!!! Well said. I don't understand how people will be stylishly defending yahoo yahoo. It's the same as robbery, you are a robber, end of. |

ify2016: Fantastic advice but where can you go without the power that be. Nigeria CV without connection is a product of trash bag. My CV lasted for over 3 years with the security after submitting it through a receptionist but got the same job after meeting my church member who helped me secure the same job with same company after 2 weeks. It's just his grace and not by submitting thousands of CV. Whilst this might have been your experience, there are still people that get fantastic jobs in Nigeria without any 'powers that be'. |

I just visited your website, it's really comprehensive, I will keep tabs on updates. I think you should consider having an instagram account as well, you will be able to reach even more people. I saw the list of the Unesco world heritage sites on your website. Interestingly, I visited one of them (Pamukkale) last week. The potential in tourism is immense. |

travelwaka: It's painful because these are the things that Nigerians and other people all around the world pay to go and see in Rome. This city happens to be the starting point of our development. the government is not doing anything to boost tourism., Tourism is the only thing that affects every area of the economy from the transport, health, hospitality, food, agriculture etc . An average person coming to your country from abroad will spend between $500 to $5,000 now multiply it by 100,000 people monthly. This is the reason why Dubai keep growing. We all have a part to take tourism to the next height in Nigeria. And the Government need to tak this serious From So true. You are making great efforts already. I believe with more people and platforms like yours, there will be greater awareness of the potential in it. |

Again remember you are always free to choose as you please. My opinions should not stop you.
Women (that is if you are a woman) like you donot learn until they are neck deep in the rot but atleast you read it.
Money doesnot matter so go ahead and pay school fees, rent and buy your husband a car - a capable woman! Please work on your poverty mindset, it can and will only drag you down, people with poverty mindsets will continue to attract poverty. A woman who cannot make her own money shouting poor husband, what a joke You sef poor wife. Anyway, I am done with you, cannot continue wasting my time trading words with someone who said "Adam was incredibly lazy", it already shows your bias and mindset to justify man bashing at any cost. Ciao. |

PureFace1: London still have some of their old ancient buildings still standing today
In country like Greece, Turkey and Italy etc you will find some cities still with the ancient touch like Ibadan.
Ibadan is almost the same size as Anambra and bigger than Lagos state 2 times.
There is old and new part of Ibadan and you can find the brown roofs only in the old part.
You can even find some pictures with different colors of roofs in the pictures above, it is something that should be cherish because it is Heritage of the city and what make the city unique.
This is picture of Florence a city in Italy looking like Ibadan, I wonder if Italians make jest of it too
Let them continue to wallow in their buffoonery Exactly. Our diversity, unique and ancient elements should be preserved and celebrated. I fear this country may never move forward the way we are going, the destructive level of tribalism on both sides won't let us progress. It's way too toxic. If a foreigner was interested in visiting Nigeria, say one of the ancient cities, wherever in the country it may be, Nairaland will likely come up in the search's top results and these are the shameful comments they will read. |

As a husband? NO! Poor husband deserve NO RESPECT!!!! If you are poor, donot marry or have children. Donot litter the earth with hungry kwashoko children with no chance of education and donot recruit another human being into your poverty.
Use that time to work very hard with no distraction then marry then have children
BUT madam if you want to have children for a gateman, driver etc - by all means: don't let my humble opinion stop you - go right ahead! #pickme
Peace. For some people, their lives have no meaning outside money money money and that is what shapes their poverty mindset. Good luck to you. Any sensible lady knows she should make her own money as well instead of shouting upandan about POOR HUSBANDS. |

Nice. Good job travelwaka. Unfortunately, Nigeria has refused to take tourism seriously. Countries like Turkey, Dubai, Greece are all making money for their economies from tourism.
The silly comments about brown roofs are quite ridiculous. These are things other countries would have turned around and packaged as a relic of the past. But Nigerians choose to wallow in ignorance and use it as a tribal slur. It's all your loss at the end of the day. |
