I have had discussions with colleagues based in Singapore, do not ever make the mistake of comparing Singapore to Lagos, they are not mates in any way. A country & city that has so developed itself several international companies have their expats posted there.

Singapore's unemployment rate is 2.2%, our dear Nigeria is trending at double digits 23%. You guys should hide your faces in shame defending rubbish.

Nawaoh. They will be rushing it because of the name as if their father built a refinery. It could be sad and yet angry at the same time.

One once said he would do aeronautic engineering as if that course is even viable in Nigeria. Las las he ended with medicine.

There are courses one can do which would never secure any practical work. Courses like zoology, microbiology, botany, biotechnology etc. You go waka tire.

That is not completely true. Many people who are making a great success of their careers did not study anything remotely related to what they do. There are some specialist areas, agreed, but besides that it is a free for all - it's about your competences and how you demonstrate those.

Besides, even the so called courses that you consider advantageous, how many graduates of those courses have jobs?

I strongly disagree with dat figure of unemployment rate of 23%. It must be around 65% by now. I am even tired of submitting cv's, it is damn frustrating! No reply! So how do u know what to do differently!

Nigeria is a country where many want to work but there is no work. Unemployment rate is currently 23% and that is even the official figure. It's really not easy for a lot of people out there, please let's all try to show empathy, doesn't cost anything.
