http://www.thetidenews.com/article.aspx?qrDate=04/05/2008&qrTitle=Lola,%20Munachi%20fight%20over%20peter%20of%20P-Square&qrColumn=ENTERTAINMENT%20WORLD geez, Lola must really be in love with this guy. Thats why they say love is blind. She can do better, abeg. Lola is too fine for all this nah. She should be able to get someone other than this Psquare, for real. I think she should move out of the country- go on vacation or something and recover from her broken heart. the world is full of people- no need to kill yourself over this fellow. ![]() am even surprised she was dating a Nigerian. Would have thought she'd date outside Nigeria. |
@ topic: really? ![]() wonder wonder. |
almondjoy:going by these pictures, I have to agree. I've seen finer guys just walking down the street in Nigeria. ![]() besides, that guy Uche from Resonance ( chinwe Ike) is still one of the cutest Naija musicians so far. |
@deor3: Amy winehouse dopes every day. she takes the white substance. Her boyfriend same thing. Britney spears, etc but their people stand and stick to them like gum. who did you say is sticking to Britney Spears? ![]() and Amy Winehouse who had to beg them for visa the other day? ![]() I don't get your drift oh. Tuface needs to get his act together. |
Like is better than love, in my opinion. ![]() Love is too intense. Its still very important though. |
eKWutoZiaM:am sure you love the attention. Dont let me stand in the way of your notoriety. After all, in your case, any kind of attention is good attention. Loneliness is not easy, as shown by your current antics. Hopefully Seun can help you out, since e be like say na only him get the cure for your problem. Like you are saying. ![]() We all hear you loud and clear. |
eKWutoZiaM:whatever gave you that impression? see, its miscalculations like this that are chasing you from pillar to post. Following Seun from naijaryders to nairaland it must be getting boring on naijaryders going by your soliloquy here. I havent been to that site for a while- let me check out the place again. by the way, here's the definition of soliloquy: Soliloquy |
I'm not from the state but I checked the official site. from Anambra State website: ANAMBRA STATE DID NOT BAN THE USE OF CONDOM I wish to state for the avoidance of doubt that Anambra State did not at any time ban the use of condom. It is not even contemplating that. The statement credited to the Hon. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Linus Amobi Ilika is therefore false. The Commissioner only said that in the ABC of prevention from HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, that abstinence comes first, followed by marital faithfulness and others. Further, he counselled those growing up to embrace our pristine value of chastity as he warned that abortion remains a crime. As a pro-life member and an ardent Catholic, just like some of us, he may be personally opposed to the use of condom on the understanding that it is wrong to stop any act of procreation already begun, but he has not said nor has he advocated that it becomes a state policy. Beyond condom issue, the concern of the State Government is that health care is properly developed in the state. This explains the efforts of the State Government, which has already led to the accreditation of many health institutions in the State, the building of Cardiac and Heart centre, the provision of ambulances to our hospitals, and the massive provision of infrastructure in our hospitals. The sustenance of this revolution is the concern of the Government and not the moral question of whether condom should be used or not. Valentine Obienyem Special Assistant to Gov. Obi on Media and Publicity http://www.anambrastateng.org/general/news.php?id=53&page=story people can rest easy. However not a license to run there and fornicate, I think is what they're saying. Or maybe not. ![]() |
Caradona:my sista, condom or no condom, the main proof na DNA test. ![]() |
ekwulewu or whatever your name is, are you saying your post is an advert for naijaryders? or mainly an attempt to get Seun's attention? He no give you face for yonder? ![]() |
is this an advert for naijaryders? or someone ( possibly female) trying to get Seun's attention? ![]() Nothing a person wont read on Nairaland. ![]() sometimes I really wonder if some of the posters here arent really high school kids or elementary school cert holders. some are bots, some have more than one id- why is it a fighting matter? |
no wonder the cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, brothers and sisters are all marrying each other within these kinds of sects. They said 401 children were rescued from that compound. Am wondering who are the fathers- is it Jeff Warren or maybe him and nine other men. Say 40 children per man. What a useless state of affairs. ![]() |
spikedcylinder:boy oh boy oh boy oh boy |
2/3 child per man, or 2/3 child per wife? Curbing polygamy might be just as necessary for population control in Africa. Not only controlling the number of children. |
so are they going to outfit everyone with chastity belts? How will banning contraceptives stop people from having sex? na shari'a state? ![]() seriously though, I think S Ireland tried something similar at one time. |
like iice, I went to an all girls school. Mostly okay but some parts of my high school days I prefer to forget. Too much drama stemming from some quarters. I wasnt a hell raiser though- too studious for that. besides, I had too many school responsibilities. Sports (in my first year), drama club, school rep, etc. But my school had a reputation for having beautiful students. True talk. Maybe because it was a girls school sha. Many of the beauties were quite brilliant too. ![]() Some of the youth corps teachers did try to date a few. Especially the VIP kids, though most times the guys from the boy's schools stood a better chance. After all they seemed more hip somehow. Wonder if all those beauty queens are still as stunning as they were back then. Some of them who I see now, still are, actually. ![]() |
Unilag is a federal university, isnt it? Though I think LASU has a medical school now. |
Cadet:diversity is good, but tribalism as practiced in Nigeria is too destructive. Its like the Nigerian version of the Balkans. Centuries old prejudices. |
am sure the western media and especially CNN are busy investigating just how bad it is in Nigeria, even as I type this. No complaints when they broadcast the stories oh. Nobody should send me any daft email for commenting on a CNN piece oh. ![]() Nigeria isnt 100% good and neither is it 100% bad. Nigerians arent the only ones who have migrated to greener pastures. Every nationality migrates at some time or the other. One good thing about Nigeria- the people are very resilient. One bad thing about Nigeria- too much tribalism. ![]() |
@ sly So please don't let us start any tribal war here. . .it is one of the thing i detest most!!nairaland without tribal war is like drinking gari without sugar, for some people. They wouldnt be here but for the opportunity to throw tribal jabs online. Since its not done so easily in real life without the offender getting some heavy duty knock outs. |

I dont think I admire anyone secretly on this forum. ![]() If I admire someone, or feel a person is interesting, I usually say it to their face (or post it openly). Actually, its very difficult for me to hide those kind of thoughts, and neither does it mean I'm interested in going further with the admiration. There's one person I admire but who I havent said a word to, only because I dont want the person getting self conscious and all that. ![]() |
of course women can be bad in bed. Plenty of complaints over in the sexuality section. ![]() |
@ debosky Granted people are poor in Africa who cannot afford sanitary towels, but why use it to guilt-trip people into buying a particular product? I believe that form of advertising is ethically questionable. If Always/Procter & Gamble wanted to do some CSR or humanitarian work, they should not link it to the sales of a product. They can ask for donations or set up a trust fund.this issue is about the quality of life, Debosky. its not the govt's job to provide sanitary pads for the citizens, but it would be a good thing if the citizens could afford some dignity in their lives. A simple dignity like being able to buy sanitary pads goes a long way for people who are too poor to buy such things, normally. I'm sure you personally would never date anyone who used rags during their period or couldnt afford sanitary pads. Nor would you offer to supply a girl with such things. Since a lot of the national cake goes abroad to maintain the higher standard of living, then people abroad should be reminded of the need in other places. The US alone gulps an excessively large amount of the world's resources, while Africa on the other hand gets extremely little of the finished product. |
@ Gamine plss, i don't want to get lost in a sea of white!@ Gamine: even if you're the only Black person in the entire school or even the entire city, just relax and make friends with whoever you find there. ![]() There are probably other Nigerians at the school anyway, but am just saying. Every situation has its ups and downs. There are advantages to being among fellow Nigerians, but that shouldnt stop you from socializing with other races too. ![]() It can be tough at first, but you'll get used to it. You seem a tad jittery at the thought of being in the minority over there. The important thing is what kind of attitude do the people have towards foreigners. If they are friendly, half the socializing problem is already solved. Most times if you're not too sensitive and are a bit humble, you'll be okay. Even among fellow Nigerians someone can still be the only "something", on occasion, so one just has to try and adapt as much as possible. |
@ topic: I think this issue was raised somewhere before-it sounds vaguely familiar. If this ad will lead to some girls (or whoever) receiving assistance they would not otherwise have gotten, then I think people should let it be. At most, concerned citizens can write, email or call the company to register their concern. But the fact that many of us are priviledged and are not in situations like the ones constantly shown on tv, doesnt necessarily mean we should block others from receiving aid. After all, our own leaders who are our flesh and blood are not making such things their priority, so why abuse others who want to help. And this is assistance we are not giving these underpriviledged people ourselves, mind you. true, it wounds our pride when such things are aired on national tv and Africans in general are made to look uncivilized and poverty stricken, but lets not forget that many of these issues are a reality for others, if not for us. Much of Africa is ravaged by war and underdevelopment. This is a glaring fact no matter how much we wish it were not so. People need help. Someone who went to school on a scholarship sponsored by an aid organization, will be grateful for the chance, without which he/she might have been stuck pulling a wheelbarrow of stones or something, for life. Or say someone who receives medical assistance for an ailment that could be debilitating, and which they can't afford treatment for. Sometimes one has to look beyond the motive for the giving, and just accept what is offered. We can speak for ourselves individually, but can we refuse assistance for others who really need it more than we do. How many of us here have been to Congo, for example, or worked in war torn Sudan. There's a lot of suffering everywhere, and many times its these rich multinational companies who are in the position to do something about it in a big way. |
