poster virgin in the context you quoted, means unmarried woman. check verse 34 of that chapter. |
Blofeld: The passage in question is as follows: "But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry." (1 Corinthians 7:36).i have issues with christians who always [emphasis on always] wait for others to explain things and never take any initiative to actually study the bible quietly with a goal to enriching themselves personally. this isnt meant as a criticism of you, but is just an observation. If it doesnt apply to you, then ignore the comment. @ topic read the whole chapter and you'll get a better picture. the verse is referring to men who are engaged to be married. If the engagemant period is getting too long and the man can no longer wait, then he should go ahead and marry his betrothed. behaveth unseemly means if he's desiring to consumate the relationship and can no longer hold himself. |
where's the picture, and what's the difference between both tribes. |
wow. this type of thing is here to stay then. brings in some good benjamins. |
if the child cant talk that means she's mute and there's a chance she might be deaf as well, though the grandmother doesnt think this is the case. please make enquiries about schools for the deaf in the area [lagos or ogun states or the environs] and see if she can be enrolled there. Also what can be done about transportation, accommodation, etc to such schools. my two cents, could be wrong. |
vwvw:are you serious? Come on Life's good. Myth and superstition increases by saying that the koran grows with the baby..at this rate, someone will have a baby that came out clutching an ipad or something. |
education is paramount here. this is why its very important for females to be educated. in this day and age, there are hospitals and clinics available for childbirth. the size of that baby indicates the birth mother may have had gestational or ongoing diabetes which was probably untreated. and if the child was unresponsive to stimuli [as we heard from the tales circulating], then ideally it should be seen by an outside doctor or other qualified health professional, preferably in a govt hospital. |
oats are actually one of the easiest foods to prepare. |
yoruba phantasmagora/folklore actually speak of babies born with strange mannerisms, etc. eg esu kekere ode [i think it was] from ogboju ode who was born with a fully developed set of teeth, the ability to talk immediately after delivery and i think he walked as well as soon as he came out. his first action was to beat up all the well wishers who came to greet the mother. After that, he drank like 5 kegs of palmwine or so per day, and also consumed pounded yam in great quantities. i think that's how the story went. fiction of course, but very funny. |
fortran12: the baby in d pix looks old already!! see aw fast can babies grow in nigeriathe child is obviously not a newborn. i think its quite clear what's going on, but oh well. |

another fake story which made the rounds on the major news media last week: Vengeful teeth-pulling dentist story deemed a hoaxhttp://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/vengeful-teeth-pulling-dentist-story-deemed-hoax-152703370.html |
halleluyah. the baby will either be raised muslim or marry a muslim i guess. but did the woman do an ultrasound scan during pregancy and was anything unusual noticed then. |
those whose PAPA PAPA MAMA are from Igbo and their MAMA MAMA sister is from HAUSA land, and their Great Mama Mama Papa is from Yoruba land. Such people are adultrated .....hahahaha. They are simply roving gamblers without base.....their chidren children children will also be from RUSSIA or Ijaw or Egbesu. No root whatsoeverhunh, dear. what are you saying ![]() |
Okay correction noted but most times we ask for prove either in pictures or links. I used this as an example since the minister had cleared the air on this issue. But your correction has been noted
no biggie. just saying, that's all. |
interesting concept and photos. some aquariums already have some underground displays- this is an extension of that i suppose. would like to know how it works out. |
^^all I'm saying is you dont have to stress yourself typing all kinds of research papers in order to get a nigerian husband/man. its not that difficult. just go straight to the point and cut out the mumbo jumbo. you'll get more offers than you'll even know what to do with. |
@ topic I doubt there's any unknown facts per se, about any of the major groups in nigeria and indeed west africa if not the whole of africa. colonization was pretty thorough or does anyone have evidence to the contrary? ![]() Question: Is Southeast and Igboland the same thing?ok, this is very funny. I'm following the expansion- i remember it was first delta and rivers, then it stretched to benue, and now it includes akwa ibom. what about cross river though- you cant have one without the other. i think at some point bayelsa too. (gej?) anyway, carry on- will read the entire post if possible. |
