both states are different so the criteria for judging arent the same either.

In short, no contest between the two.
Christianity Etc › Re: Seven Women Would Go For One Man! by tpiah: 1:39am On May 15, 2009
segyemaro:
According to the holy bible, everything in the bible must come to pass, the word of God cannot go unfulfil. This now kept me wondaring and took me to the book of Isaiah 4:1 that says "In that day seven women will take hold of one man and say, We will eat our food and provide our own clothes, only let us be called by your name.Take away our disgrace.". After going through this very particular chapter i started to imagine how it would look like. Now on a personal note, do you think nigerian women would want to have a rival, not just a rival but 6 rivals wit her making 7 women in a house wit a man as his wives, cos even the muslim women are against rivalry not to talk of a christain woman. So do you think this can happen in nigeria??
hasnt it been happening in Nigeria from time immemorial? huh

Are you sure you know anything about Nigeria at all?

OMO IBO:
why do some of you have this achaic image/thought of maids?
some oga's and madam's make it compulsory for their maids to go to school and be able to use computers. this i can testify to.
her diction doesnt seem like a maid's, unless she's working abroad and was a temporary maid in order to raise some funds.

Words like "horrible", for instance, arent generally common in Nigerian English. And most Nigerian maids wouldnt be able to access a computer unless things have changed.

A Nigerian maid is also less likely to use words like "boss" and "trust me"- s/he'd rather say "oga" and "I say",imo.

"Hi guys" ? huh that's American.

hi guys
i just spent the most horrible week of my life as a maid
trust me, its not something you want to experience

makes me wonder if all maids are treated d same way or if its just my boss that is cruel

so, how do u treat ur maids?
Celebrities › Re: I Really Hope Eucharia Learns How To Use Her Money To Look Better Than This by tpiah: 6:37pm On May 14, 2009
she's not bad looking even with the weight, but since she used to be skinny before, she should try to lose some of it for health reasons.

[li]What are you aiming to get out of the Christ Embassy church service?[/li]
[li]What is the relationship between your dress style and what you're aiming to get out of the service?[/li]
[li]What is the reasoning behind your current dress style - i.e white garmet/no shoes[/li]
[/list]
I totally respect your stance/decision to wear a white garment to church - any church, even though I don't understand the reason behind it. I genuinely am very interested - please could you explain? Thanks
some Nigerian churches eg Celestial Church of Christ and C&S church, require members to wear flowing white garments to services. One of them also doesnt allow footwear in the church.

I'm not sure what rationale is behind this but I think it has something to do with the book of revelation in the bible.

I cant have a maid.

I wouldnt know how to treat him/her.

We had relatives staying with us when we were young, and some of them still have grudges I think. Or heard. Even though my dad has a very egalitarian view of such things and to the best of my knowledge, behaved the same way to everyone as he did with his own kids.

No matter what you do, its just not the same as your children. Regardless if you think you're treating them the same, the fact that they're different will always be at the back of everyone's mind.

I've also heard horror stories about witches, evil maids, etc.

I'd much rather pay the hourly wage like they do abroad - that makes everything easier.

In some instances, you have to bring relatives into your home eg in cases of bereavement, etc, but you should go the extra mile then. How many people are willing to do that.

however, @ OP

your english and computer skills dont seem like a maid's? huh

lipuka:
I am very much for Nigerian girls. In fact I have said repeatedly that tha Ghana girls in general are dumpy. I am talking about the movie girls, and Dhana seems to have learned somethings Nigeria has not.

I am still for Lady T any time. No change here.

As for the Edo girls and prostitution, there are those who agreed with me. And it was not my story but what was in the Press, For you information, the story came out again in October last year in CNN in a programme they called Tagged. You may wish to go and have a look at it.
We're just very sensitive about all the profiling, that's all. I'm like that myself.

I think spiked may be confusing you with some other people, btw.
Fashion › Re: Dudu Oshun. Does It Tone? by tpiah: 4:10pm On May 14, 2009
I think it does, but the ingredients are supposed to be natural.

locally made black soap is very helpful in maintaining the skin, so dudu osun shouldnt be any different.
