PoliticsRe: Tinubu: I Never Said I Spent N35 Billion On Buhari’s Elections by Tranquill: 8:29pm On Jun 26, 2020
Lostz:
Tinubu did not actually sponsored Buhari to win. he only sponsored southwest APC.

Ameachi and his likes sponsored Buhari and that is why he is important in the eyes of the cabals
That is why he landed himself in trouble when he started calling himself "The APC national leader" knowing that he only contributed in South West.
PoliticsRe: 2023: Igbo Presidency Not A Joke, Nonnegotiable - Jim Nwobodo by Tranquill: 7:09pm On Jun 22, 2020
Says one of the people that stood against Ekwueme in 1999. He even went as far as speaking Hausa at the PDP convention just to impress the northerners. I don't know why any Igbo person will ever take him and Orji Uzoh Kalu seriously.
PoliticsRe: APC Crisis: Put God Above Your Interest, Oshiomhole Begs Giadom by Tranquill:
ybalogs:
Who is this Giadom? How powerful is he that he is holding the ruling party to ransom like this? APC is really confused as it is.
Giadom is an Ogoni man from Rivers State and has some APC heavy weights behind him like El Rufai, Amaechi etc. They are out to clip Tinubu's wings and make sure he remains 'the national leader' only on the pages of newspapers. Oshiomole is Tinubu's hope of controlling the party's machinery ahead of 2023, so taking him out is to make Tinubu become as powerless and vulnerable as that homeless dog you see under Obalende bridge.

Someone mentioned about the lyrics of one of his songs, "hotel California", you should check it out too
This song was originally released by los angels rock band the Eagles in the 70s. It was a revision by Majek.

Ghostrye:
There are three sides to any story. So far we've only heard one
Majek himself said it in a now defunct Concord newspaper interview in the late 90s that I quote " seven books of moses ruined my life. I tried to manipulate nature without understanding the laws". So all that this man said is true.

IDeyNL:
You people you stick to one thing. And not changing from one thing to another.

I thought you people said GEJ was voted out because of corruption, now it is because he allegedly marginalized Yorubas.

There's honour in integrity.
They were actually shouting corruption in the newspapers and internet fora but their main anger as stimulated by Tinubu and his gang, was that Jonathan did not give them 'juicy appointments' and that he was favoring the Igbos more than the Yoruba. They did not hide these feelings when 'the Yoruba nation' met in Ibadan b4 the election. They accused him of denying them 'speaker' despite the fact that it was Tinubu that connived with northerners to do that. They said Jonathan was commander in chief so he could have been able to counter Tinubu if he had wanted. I even heard some of them saying that Jonathan was building second niger bridge but did not build fourth mainland bridge for them in Lagos. It was all about greed and selfishness.
PoliticsRe: 2019: What Did Tinubu See In Buhari That Other Nigerians Don't See? by Tranquill: 5:56am On May 16, 2018
Na fear. He knows Buhari will deploy his primitive fulani mentality and unprofessional military tactic to deal mercilessly with him if he make 'pim!'
PoliticsRe: Dino Melaye Under GEJ Vs Under PMB (Pictures) by Tranquill: 5:59pm On Apr 26, 2018
AkpaMgbor:
GEJ overlooked those things because he was well educated and came from a civilian background..obasanjo and buhari ruled with a degree of high-handedness (though buhari is clearly worse)..yaradua was also calm and diplomatic because he also came from a civilian background.that was why he could call the militants to a round table and negotiate with them...obasanjo nuked odi while buhari declared war on the niger delta communities via operation crocodile smile..you Nigerians keep electing “strong men” who continue to whip you into line like cows..
Under Yar'Adua El Ruffai and Ribadu ran to exile and if you read People, Power and Politics by Olusegun Adeniyi, you'll realise that Obasanjo himself was scared that Yar' Adua was going to get him arrested. When Jonathan said that if he used "40% of the powers" that he had, "Nigeria would be in chaos", people didnt appreciate that but preferred to call him 'weak'. Now a strong man is showing them the real power. I weep not for Dino

igbodefender:
VP? Igbos need the Presidency by 2023. Buhari go complete him second term by then.
Bro you need to be realistic. Buhari has no inclination to support any presidency outside the North. Come 2023 you'll hear him say he doesnt believe in zoning but he is currently grooming El Ruffai to succeed him regardless of your vote. We need someone that understands and respects the diversity of the country and cares about how to draw unity out of that diversity.
PoliticsRe: “I Warned Goodluck Jonathan About Diezani Alison-Madueke” – Olusegun Obasanjo by Tranquill:
Obasanjo should have mentioned why he felt she was not fit for the position. He expected he would be the one to handpick for Jonathan after occupying the position himself for 8 years while also the president. In terms of academic qualifications, exposure to the oil and gas industry who amongst the past and even the current man occupying the position is better qualified than Deziani.

Obasanjo is not bold enough to tell Nigerians that he did not support Jonathan go for a second term simply because of the state burial he gave to Ojukwu whom he always saw as his arch enemy and undeserving of such honour and also, not allowing Obasanjo to use him to fight his personal battles and make unneccessary enemies. Very petty old man.
PoliticsRe: Southern unity Towards 2019 Elections by Tranquill:
OP the SS and the SE will not unite with the Yoruba/SW. The SS/SE have decided to chart their own course without the crafty greedy self centred Yorubas. The only crime Jonathan committed is that he "did not give the yorubas juicy appointments" according to the Yoruba nation in Ibadan before the election. You felt the Igbos were benefitting more from his government.

You come to say that "Jonathan was a bad president". That comment alone makes you an idiot that is not worth to be taken seriously. Your repentance will only be taken seriously when you have the boldness to blame your tribal sentiment, Obasanjo, Tinubu etc for misleading you.

You voted for Buhari thinking he will carry you along to oppress other parts of the country. Now you have seen with your eyes but it is just the beginning. Read my post just after the election and the comments made by some of your comrades in tribal stupidity

I would suggest you put a stop to this stupidity you are throwing around.
PoliticsRe: A Solution To The Niger Delta Avengers And Niger Delta Plight by Tranquill:
I personally blame Buhari for the current crisis in the region. Like in most African countries, there were already existing cracks within the country's fabrics which were expanded by the last general election. What a sensible leader that genuinly has the unity of the country at heart and sees everyone as equal should have done immediately after the elction, was to make deliberate efforts for the entire country to forget the election, forge a common front and move the country forward. Alas! Buhari started seeing himself as a conqueror that has people that he sees as his enemies that must be dealt with and treated with disdain, and those that are 'his people'. The most stupid thing he did was the '97% 5%' comment he made on an international television and his subsequent actions, carrying on with the feeling that he could intimidate and threating anyone, group or region without being challenged simply because he has some idiots who didn't understand the rudiments of governance that were always cheering him on.

He felt he could take from Peter and give to Paul simply because Paul voted for him, and Peter did not. In every sane society, once someone is elected, you forget about who voted for you and who did not. Infact in trying to implement your programmes that made people to vote for you, you also try to see how you can make those who did not vote you, to see you differently in the next election. So he decided from the begining that he wanted to rule a divided country and that is what he is getting now.

Obviously Jonathan's hand is all in the cookie jar. It is only a man blinded by sentiment that would think Dasuki made the moves on his own volition.
It is also a man blinded by sentiment that will believe all the trash churned out in the news without waiting to hear directly from Dasuki. Why is the government determined to prevent him from speaking out by using all means to deny him bail even against court orders? but we keep hearing "Dasuki said..." "Dasuki's lawyer said...." "Dasuki's associates that prefere to be anonymous said...."

PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Jumping From Frying Pan To Fire? by Tranquill: 7:17am On Jan 19, 2016
grandstar:
Tranquill is correct.

The reason why the Canadian $ has lost value i because it is a massive commodities exporter like Nigeria. With less forex coming in due to lower prices for its commodities, this has led to its currency losing value despite their economy being much larger than Nigeria.

Buhari has refused to devalue. This is purely insane and the markets as equally gonee nuts. The curse of price controls has taken over.

Nobody is doubting Buharis integrity or his incorruptible nature but his economic policies stink.

Soludo and Sanusi, the latter who is a strong Buharist has comdemned his economic policies.

Emefiele is a mere figurehead. I predicted in a thread I started that the naira would touch 300 by 2019. I was flabbergasted it touched early this year. The naira will touch 400 year ending if things don't change.
It majorly has to do with the fall in the oil price. Crude oil until last year was Canada's largest export. All the countries with oil dependent economy are suffering same fate. In Nigeria, instead of looking for how to urgently address the situation, they keep talking about past administration. Some buffons who do not even know the simplest factors controlling economic indices are talking about how 'Jonathan squandered the foreign reserve'. Who 'squandered the foreign reserves' of Canada and other countries that are going through the same economic situation as Nigeria?

For your information I and some discerning minds, do have serious doubts about Buhari's so called "integrity and incorruptible nature" unless they have a different meaning from the ordinary dictionary definition.
