Jastombutex11:Go back and check the results of these states and then tell me your definition of "wide margin". Stop deluding yourself with this your 25% trash and get real with the fact that a winner must get the popular votes and at least 25% in 2/3 states. |
emerged01:Adamawa is not confirmed yet but Benue is already in the bascket. By how many votes did he win Ondo, Kogi and the entire south west put together. If margin was more it would have given him an edge but as it stands, Jonathan will win but not with a wide margin like I said. |
Jastombutex11:You are the one that should go back to your books. I base my analysis on had facts and not on 'Dugbe market' reasoning. What do you mean by "For Buhari to win he needs 25% of votes from states Jonathan won in previous general elections"? |
collynzo2:You are just on point. After seeing the South West result I became convinced that Jonathan will win even though not with a very wide margin. I expected a very big blow from APC in the South West which did not happen. Small Bayelsa alone takes care of the deficit in the entire south west including Kogi. The fact that GEJ won Plateu, Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba even is quite interesting. I thought APC was taking Nasarawa. Rivers, Delta and Akwa Ibom will take care of Kano and Katsina. South East has not been considered yet. |
JayKaba:Seconded. |
tosine25:Please after applying online what is the next step? What is the duration from initial application to submition to interview. I am asking on behalf of a friend as I am only familiar with the old method when you get appointment through phone. |
kingthreat:Stop deluding urself. The Chadian, Nigerien and to some extent the Cameroonian troops involved in the battle against BokoHaram are been funded and equiped by Nigeria through a third party. |
WisdomFlakes:Who is afraid of Buhari? Even if this story is true, is it as bad as Buhari who as PTF chaiman awarded consulting contract to his wife's brother Ahmad Salahijo, without the knowledge and approval of other board members and at the end over N25 billion (twenty five billion) naira could not be accounted for? Keep dreaming of swearing-in that will never happen. |
jasab:It is against the law for any organisation to employ you without having done your service or obtained an exemption if u are above 30. I will suggest you do ur service first for the future because u may not work with this employer forever. If possible see how you can get posted there so you can be serving while working at the same time. |
OrigamiIII:I am not an Ijaw so not speaking for them but the image you are trying to create does not hold water. Yes there has been historical distrust between the Itsekiris and the Ijaws as well as Urhobos and other tribes but this can hardly be translated to deep hatred for yorubas. Someone that hates you so deeply as you portray can not come and marry your daughter no matter how beautiful she is. Many Ijaw men have Yoruba wives including Chief Edwin Clark, his brother the poet and novelist J.P Clark. The mother of the present Governor of Bayelsa state Seriake Dickson is a yoruba from Ijebu. I can mention so many of such union which would have been impossible if your assertion is true. Asari Dokubo has made some disperaging comments about the yorubas and almost every tribe but he is not speaking for the Ijaws nor Jonathan. The disparaging comments made by former CBN governor Sanusi Lamido about the Yorubas does not mean he is speaking for northerners. You should try and canvass for votes and support for your prefered candidate without wipping up ethnic sentiment which will do no good to anyone please. |
Sanchez01:So when APC was protesting in Abuja for Jega to resign or be sacked after the Anambra election over a year ago, it was also employed by PDP? |
.. |
phlemzy:Wike said he visits his friends' wives when they are not home. Maybe this is one of the skills he takes along. |
They will soon order INEC to disqualify Buhari for lying about his qualifications and submitting an incomplete application form. |
omowumee:“General Buhari is not a magician, “ adding: “He will not find you a job if you do not go out there and help yourself.” Mrs Amosun told “armchair critics” that to build Nigeria goes beyond sitting at a remote location and criticising on the social media. “We need to improve our literacy levels in order to tackle mortality rates and boost education, among others,” she said, adding: “It is beyond writing on social media,” to do this. http://dailytimes.com.ng/article/buhari-uk-rest-says-wife |
Secondary schools fall within the responsibilty of state governments but people hardly hold them accountable. The federal government went beyond it's bound by building modern almajiri schools yet they say JONATHAN DID NOT DO ANYTHING. Fashola of Lagos took $90 million ( ninety million dollers) from the World Bank to upgrade secondary schools but there is absolutely nothing on ground to show for it. Some Lagosians requested under the freedom of information act to know how the money was used, Fashola went to court claiming that freedom of information applies only to federal government and can not be domesticated in Lagos. Jonathan signed the freedom of information act yet Fashola says that Jonathan is corrupt. CHANGE MY FOOT!! |
jpphilips:So where does it say that Chad and Cameroun pulled out because of Nigeria's unseriousness? Besides the major impact of these countries involvement is that it closed their escape route apart from stoping them from using their soil as a sanctuary and safe haven where they run to and remobilize after operating and wrecking havoc in Nigeria. There is nothing wrong if Nigeria seeks and get help from neighbouring countries or any country for that matter. Even world powers like the UK, US etc do same. What you may not even know is that these countries are being funded and equiped by Nigeria via a third party. |
The money 'runs into billions' and they are sharing 300k etc. Anyone that believes this crap will believe anything. |
jpphilips:So where does it say that Chad and Cameroun pulled out due to unseriousness of Nigeria? |
dein77:It is not just because he was trying to appease the northern leadership who acused him of genocide and refused to coporate with him, Buhari who specifically decleard that an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North, the fact is that what actually changed the momentum now apart from the acquisition of new weapons which was made difficult in the past by the genocide allegation against the government but also the involvement of mutinational force comprising the neighbouring countries and most of them refused to get involved initially unless they got approval from the African Union which was recently granted. So Jonathan has never been unwilling to deal with BH but many obstacles on the road. |
Muhammadkhan:I did not attend as a journalist. The place usually flooded by Nigerians residing in the UK mostly with no restrictions just go in and have your seat. I said the few white folks that care to attend are mainly researchers, journalists and MPs (members of parliament) with interest in African affairs. Atiku came with Terry Waya, Audu Ogbe and few others that I dont recall while El Ruffai, Nuhu Ribadu and few others also came from the government side to counter what he said using the opportunity given during the question and answer session. |
Muhammadkhan:Who invited him to speak at Chatham house? Nothing special about speaking there bro. I personally attended the one Atiku gave in 2007 when he was contesting. You will even be ashamed to know that all they do is to rubish their country thinking they are impressing the few white folks that will attend mainly journalists , few researchers and maybe one or two MPs with interest in African affairs. At the end of the day, the negative perception they have about Nigeria is magnified. Ask the APC people to tell you how they secured the slot and how much they paid. |
lemonade:She obviously was speaking to armchair critics like yourself. |

lolaxavier:He has privatised and decentralised it including the generation, transmission and distribution which previous administrations have not been able to do. He has laid the main foundations required for stability in no distant time. You folks want everything to work like margic but even Mrs Amosun has recently said that Buhari himself is not a magician so I dont know why Jonathan is expected to work like a magician. If u diligently follow what is happening in that sector u will agree that so much have been done even though we have not reached the last bus stop yet. Rome was not built in a day. |
OrlandoOwoh:He said that HE HAS FULFILLED HIS PROMISE TO MAKE THE POWER SECTOR A PRIORITY. Abi na English dey hard you? |
jomoh:Why I refered you to obasanjo's comment was because he clearly stated that when he joined the army 4 years before Buhar that it was the criteria to have the Cambidge Cert or equivalent and anyone who joined with or after him most definitely has it. If you read the link provided you will see that Tarfa was even junior to Buhari being a commandant of the NDA while Buhari was head of state and he sounded like they were in secondary school about the same time. I am not the one that thinks that academic certificate should be a criteria to judge one's abilty to hold a position but if that is what the law says it must be obeyed. Remember even when Sadam knew he didnt have chemical weapons or other armours he was still daring the U.S and her allies thinking he would scare them away. That GMB has so many lawyers is not enough to think that the case would not sail through. If you've ever had a bad case in court you will admit with me that your lawyers will always give you hope until the day you get the judgement. Great lawyers like Rotimi Williams and Gani Fawehinmi were still losing cases in courts till they died so Osinbajo being on Buhari's side is no assurance. It was actually Buhari that draged the army into this. The army never awarded him the WASC (West African School Certificate) that he claimed in his INEC form that he has so why refere INEC to the army instead of going to the institution that awarded it to get a duplicate copy or alternative documentation? He thought mentioning the army will make people not to ask further questions but not knowing that Nigerians are wiser now. If the constitution does not specify school cert why did he not mention in his INEC form what else that qualifies him to contest instead of WASC that he knows he doesnt have. In advanced society Buhari would have folded his campaign and apologised to Nigerians by now instead of trying to hide under legal bottle neck and delay in the judicial processes while still claiming he wants to build a corruption free and better society. |
jomoh:You are wrong bro. You should read Obasanjo's statement very well. Buhari's was admitted 4 years after Obasanjo and I think Tarfa was same time or few years after Buhari. The Military said they only have a recommendation letter from Buhari's principal that says he believes that HE WILL PASS HIS WASC and Buhari is yet to refute this. It should not be forgotten because it has to do with rules and the law which are the main essence of democracy especially if we desire for a better society where no one is above the law. |
Dannyset:And you call yourself leader of tomorrow. Nigeria is finished. |
General Paul Tarfa said "In those days when Nigeria was Nigerianising its military, many of the officers that you seetoday did not even have their school certificates until long after. “When we were invited to go to Kaduna, we were given qualifying examination in English, Mathematics and General Knowledge, even before we took the school certificate exam. Some did not even wait to take their school certificates because vacancies were already waiting for them. “It was after that qualifying exam that we were recruited into the army. By the time some had their school certificates, they had become officers. “For example, Gen. Babangida never saw his school certificate until when he was head of state. I got my school certificate long after I became an officer". http://thenationonlineng.net/new/buhari-ordered-dismiss-48-errant-cadets-nda-32-muslims-gen-paul-tarfa/ General Olusegun Obasanjo "When I joined the Army in the 1950s, I needed to have a Cambridge certificate or West African School Certificate or GCE with a minimum of six subjects to be able to join the military at the time. “I don’t know of anybody who was an officer at that time that did not have similar certificates. “Buhari joined the Army about four years after me and if I needed such a certificate to be admitted into the Army, I don’t know how he could have avoided it" http://www.punchng.com/news/obasanjo-backs-buhari-over-certificate/ So who among them is lying to Nigerians? |
Well it should be properly investigated but that he is a professor is not just enough to exonerate him because if Boko Haram was made up of unintelligent street urchins alone, it would not be as deadly and would have been crushed long ago. It is only in Nigeria where one will be seen as above the level of engaging in criminal activities just because of one big title that you have. Some few years ago a respected professor in one of the prestigeous universities in the US was caught and jailed for involvement in child pornography. |

Serious can of worms will be exposed after GMB's swearing-in. The level of corruption being perpetrated by this GEJ administration is unprecedented. But it shall all be exposed. Fear not comrades. It won't be long now.
