He resigned due to potential conflict of interest. He has substantial interest in one of the distribution or generating companies participating in the privatization exercise and it would have been immoral to remain the minister and oversee this without being acused of bias even if transparently done. He had to either forfeit his interests in the company or resign but he chose to resign. That is the best practice worldwide and it ensures confidence in the system. Anyone appointed as secretary in the US and even UK sell of their shares in organisations that could lead to conflict of interest or sometimes put them in blind trust. The privatisation exercise of this administration particularly in the power sector has been adjudged as the most transparent, free and fair even by fair minded members of the opposition parties. You can not say that of the privatisation under the Obasanjo administration.

Its just a matter of courtesy and so that some southwesterners will not say he did not respect their baba not that his support is of any electoral value. Obasanjo has never won any election without rigging. Part of the reasons he is not happy with GEJ is that he conducted free and fair elections that saw his favourates including his daughter and his governoshipcandidate in Ogun state lose election. So what electoral value will he bring when elections are now conducted devoid of rigging. I even see him not coming out to vote making his one vote irrelevant.

If he wins the northern elders and boko sponsors will realise that they have no choice but to coperate with the government to win the war. He is talking about the constitution which clearly says that national assembly members that leave their party authomatically lose their position. The constitution did not say so about governors.

Someone was served with a removal notice for overstaying in the UK. She appealled to the immigration tribunal and won the case wherein the court declared the action of the UK home office as not in accordance with the law.

My question is does the person have to declear this when applying for a visa or the court judgement means the removal never existed so the person can say NO she was never ordered to leave any country? Thanks.

Yes Gongola state included the present Adamawa state but it is wrong to say he was governor of Adamawa state He was never a member of the ANPP. Infact he was a founding member if the PDP by reason of him being among the G34 that metomorphosed into the PDP.

Who are the ANPP leaders that brought Mu'azu into limelight?
