If T. Y. Danjuma had called for the arrest of Buhari, El Ruffai, Lawan Kaita, Adamu Ciroma, Atiku Abubakar and many others when they were making their inciting statements, many lives would have been saved. I have not heard him call for the arrest of those that stoned the presidential convoy, burning Jonathans campaign vehicles and attacking his supporters which created the opportunity for Asari and his group to start making their own threats. There should be condemnation across board to be seen to be impartial. |
I do not support the idea of bringing Buhari's family matter into that video but then most of the contents of that video are verifiable facts including the money that got missing under his watch as petroleum minister and as PTF chairman. I do not think Jonathan is the one directly sponsoring it would not approve of some of the contents especially as has to do with the wife and kids. The same El Ruffai said that Buhari is perpectually unelectable as his bigotry and inabilty to recognise the various diversities in Nigeria is well documented. |
LordMecuzy:Yes many Ijaws fought along side the Igbos but they are hardly acknowledged like the ones who had opposing view while the Igbos who opposed and worked against Biafra are not magnified like some none Igbos with opposing views. For example the Ijaw poet Gabriel Okara fought for Biafra. His older brother died fighting for Biafra like many others but these are hardly mentioned unless some really unbiased south easterners. Also, you will hardly hear about Igbos that opposed and even worked against Biafra like Zik, Asika Ukpabi, Ike Nwachukwu and many others. Infact Ndidi Okereke-Onyiuke was a spy for the Nigerian soldiers. I have said befor that any Igbo that seem very close to Obasanjo and those nothern oligarchs dhould be invrstigated properly to know the role they or their family members played during the war and curiously it is those who played ignoble role during the war and their family members that are always at the forefront to point out who betrayed the Igbos among the minorities. |
upcrown2512:Why are you typing in upper keys? Are you a bokoboy? I dont remember Obasanjo in his letter telling Buhari not to show his certificate o. Good you know about rule of law. Now kindly ask Buhari why he had to circumvent the law by not simply attaching a photocopy of the WASC result he claimed he had instead he decided to submit an incomplete form to INEC? If he can not obey simple rules then how can we trust him to defend the constitution? |
abbey621:Sorry for your ears. Please have you applied anything on it? I hear a heavy slap is a good cure. Go and look at the electoral act as ammended. Yes the judiciary will deal with it like I said the workers just called off the strike today. You know if it was Obasanjo he would have arrested him immediately but this Administration follows due process so just be patient ok? |
abbey621:1 The judicial workers have been on strike for weeks now so no one can file any case in court but I hear the federal ones have called off today so expect some legal fireworks in the coming days. 2.The law was changed shortly after 2011 election to not only mention your qualifications as was the case, but to also attach photocopy of the qualifications you are claiming but Buhari in his own wisdom is refusing to obey the law so much so that he submitted an incomplete application form to INEC. |

Olufonade:You sound like someone who thinks that creating jobs means "I have created one position in CBN o come and apply". When you hear a particular number of jobs were created in the US in a particular month you think its Obama by fiat? Government create the atmosphere for both government and mainly private sectors to expand their activities and businesses so that more jobs will become available for citizens. You think it is only jobs advertised by Aso Rock that should be credited to Jonathan or the government? How about the private sectors like manufacturers, telecom, power etc. During Jonathans administration, at least 20 companies/industries were built in Ota Ogun state alone and people were employed. That is how it works even in advanced countries. Infact in countries that run purely capitalist economy, very few core government agencies even employ people. Employments are mainly private sector and government only support them with certain incentives like tax waivers and so on that will make the environment conducive and investment attractive. |
Having read El Rufais 'The Accidental public Servant' I can only conclude that Soludo as brilliant as he is, still feels he is in competition with Okojo-Iweala who even brought him into government in the first place. All he did here is to make it look like Okonjo-Iweala does not know what she is doing not necessarily Jonathan. I dont know why this man likes fighting with women even though I like him. He fought with his sister in law Dora Akunyili until she died.. one of the many lies in this 'notice me' trash is that oil price peaked at about $147 per barrel under Obasanjo and that also shored up the external reserve at that time and the economy was also run by Okonjo Iweala. |
gebest:Why dont u speak for yourself? You have just one vote and should be grateful to Jonathan for making it count unlike in previous elections. |
emiye:You are right it's Lam. But I dont see Ladoja working in same camp with Obasanjo and Tinubu. |
feyif:Ladoja will definitely not work for Buhari because he has personally experienced his ethnic bigotry. When Yoruba famers and fulani heardsmen had fracas while he was governor, it was Buhari that led some fulanis to go and ask him "why are YOUR people killing MY people?" and Ladoja was utterly disappointed that a former head of state who is supposed to act as a statesman and a bridge builder could decend so low. |
What does the Brazilian law say concerning qualifications to vie for office? |
Rexyl:I deliberately ignored that fellow. |
Jarus:We are talking about 1998 and not 1966. Take ur tme and do ur research to find out the dynamics of power in the military between these two periods. |
tbaba1234:Yes. I said that is what I believe. Do you expect him or any of them to say that? When Gen. Ibrahim Ogohi from Kogi state was appointed chief of defence staff under Obasanjo, the northern elders were protesting that he was not a core notherner so was not representing them even though he is even a muslim. Shine ur eyes and read in between the lines bro. |
What I noticed is that all the names of the players and people involved are northerners and that is the scenerio they want to bring back to the seat of government using APC. I also believe that what actually worked against Jeremiah Useni is that is not a Muslim and a 'core' northerner. |
Obasanjo is no factor in Ogun electorally. He never won election there himself even in his own ward without rigging. His candidates including his daughter and godson Gen Olurin did not win either. Osinbajo is an unknown quantity politically. APC is split with the stronger Segun Osoba part that will team up with the PDP if only to shame Obasanjo and prove a point to Tinubu in the presidential election. Ladoja and Alafin factors in Oyo state are inclined to favour Jonathan in Oyo state. |
midolian:Is it not ridiculous to you that a father will donate his 10 or 12 year old daughter to boko haram to carry bomb and kill people? |
KenSaroWiwa:You call yourself Ken Saro Wiwa and you are talking like this. The real Ken will be turning in his grave by now. Buhari that was with Abacha when Saro Wiwa was murdered and he said nothing. He was with Abacha when Diya, Olarenwaju and other Yoruba officers were deliberatly set up and severely dealt with and it was good to his ears and excellent in his eyes. I pity Osinbajo because he aint seen nothing yet. Pa Abraham Adesanya will be sheding tears in his grave for him. |
FastShipping:He was blind but now can see very clearly. |
azzima:Hey make sure you dont quote me again whenever you want to advertise your imbecility. Go get a proper upbringing before quoting me OK? |
johnie:That is the problem here. The opposition and all citizens unite with the government to condenm and fight evil in every decent society. Here the opposition even support and rejoice over evil so they can insult and blame the President. They even blame the government for mischiefs of their own making and expect the country to move foward. |
Change2015:Thanks for revealing where you are coming from. You did not show any reference that defines Julius Malema the buffon as the opposition leader of South Africa. Being a leader of a small opposition party does not make him the opposition leader. Northerners are now seeing that their game plan has backfired so now looking for whom to blame. Even the the parents that donate their daughters are blaming Jonathan. Obasanjo gives his suggestion just like other former heads of state and retired generals particularly from that region that Jonathan consults with but thinks it is his own view that must be taken. He wants the president to kill innocent people like he did in Odi and Zarki Biam. The Nigerian army is not a boys scout as for you guys to start circulating the trash as not having enough equipments to defeat the ragtag boko haram. A strong mobile police unit fighting in unity will route them out in no time. A welll equiped military with the latest weapons can hardly make headway with just one saboteur within. So the strenght of Boko Haram lies with the constituency support they are getting and their military collaborators. Tell the ones you know that the path they have chosen is not the right one. |
Change2015:Julius Malema setting up his own party that won 3% in parliament does not make him an opposition leader bro. AN OPPOSITION LEADER IS A TITLE HELD BY THE LEADER OF THE LARGEST PARTY NOT IN GOVERNMENT. You can describe the leader of APC in Nigeria as opposition leader but not leaders of other fringe parties. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leader_of_the_Opposition The people that are asking why the giant of africa can not defeat BH should be told that it is because of the constituency support they get and their collaborators within the military. No reasonable person will blame the president if a father donates his 12 or 10 year old daughter to carry bomb for boko haram. over 40 people get killed in Chicago alone every month and no one insults or blames Obama. To defeat boko haram there has to be unity and coporation of everyone but when people do not coperate with the government with the hope that it will make the president look unelectable and help them get power back, then you think it is sensible to blame the president? |
Julius Malema is a youth and not opposition leader. No reasonable person in South Africa take him serious. He is a bunch of nuisant but I wont be suprised if some Nigerians start cekebrating him. After all no br FOREIGNER e be?? |
Fayemi sef led Fayose by wide margin in online poll and we saw what happened at the real poll. |
jaysniggs:He resigned due to potential conflict of interest. He has substantial interest in one of the distribution or generating companies participating in the privatization exercise and it would have been immoral to remain the minister and oversee this without being acused of bias even if transparently done. He had to either forfeit his interests in the company or resign but he chose to resign. That is the best practice worldwide and it ensures confidence in the system. Anyone appointed as secretary in the US and even UK sell of their shares in organisations that could lead to conflict of interest or sometimes put them in blind trust. The privatisation exercise of this administration particularly in the power sector has been adjudged as the most transparent, free and fair even by fair minded members of the opposition parties. You can not say that of the privatisation under the Obasanjo administration. |
juman:Sir have you been following the developments in the power sector to see that the present administration is not working towards improvement? with the rot in that place you dont expect overnight transformation otherwise our great Bola Ige would have done so when he was minister of power and remember that he was never a PDP member. Try do ur research on what this government is doing without any bias im sure you will make a better informed decision. |
GetUmad:Its just a matter of courtesy and so that some southwesterners will not say he did not respect their baba not that his support is of any electoral value. Obasanjo has never won any election without rigging. Part of the reasons he is not happy with GEJ is that he conducted free and fair elections that saw his favourates including his daughter and his governoshipcandidate in Ogun state lose election. So what electoral value will he bring when elections are now conducted devoid of rigging. I even see him not coming out to vote making his one vote irrelevant. |
Kzinne:You are the one advertising your stupidity here. I listened to what he said and he was addressing young Nigerians with first class intellect in the area of science and technology that can develop and fly Nigerian made space ship to the moon. If you dont fall into this category as it is obvious why not hibernate as the real people know themselves. Did your JFK fly the spacecraft to the moon? |
