buzu84:Instead of paying for a review, simply email them and they would tell you how they came about that. But there's a document on the website that explains exactly how many years you would get with what. For example, with AQF diploma, you need to add certain number of years of experience to get a positive review. That gets deducted from your years of experience. Also, Babcock degree gets converted to AQF Diploma.. I know this because Na we both waka come. |

Alphadoor: So I have clicked on that Link and read it over and over. What exactly is the significant change? I submitted an EOI for 190 and selected Victoria. What should I have done or shouldn't have done? Kindly assist cos now I'm confused. |

So my ACS ppl, A number of people have written to Victoria asking whether they should fill the exact number of years of experience they have or the years accessed by ACS. Response was "Thank you for your enquiry to the Victorian Government's Skilled and Business Migration Program. The Victorian Government nomination process is in no way connected to the Australian Computer Society's (ACS) assessment of work experience. Applicants must provide a detailed CV which includes the relevant information about work experience and checks may be undertaken where necessary. Our office considers overall experience. All applicants must meet the work experience requirements for your occupation. Check the State Nomination Occupation List for these requirements. Work experience gained during an apprenticeship is not counted toward the minimum work experience requirement. Only paid work experience gained post-qualification is counted toward the minimum work experience requirement. You should still include any 'pre-qualification' work experience on your resume. Work experience may be 20 hours/week (part-time)" So my question is, if they consider overall work experience, and you decide to enter date for overall work experience in your 190 EOI for victoria, knowing you can back up your claim, Would DIPB accept that? Since you will be awarded points for overall work experience. Abi when it's time to defend it, person go go call them from Victoria office to come and help talk to CO.? Lool. |

Since the last time I posted, a lot of water has passed under the Bridge. Thank you all for answering my plenty questions. Anyways, we did PTE, by we, I mean oga. 90.90.86.83. ACS accessed 10.3 yrs experience as 4.3 because 'course of study isn't closed related to nominated occupation. He studied comp. Info system from Babcock. Babcock bsc was assessed to be Associate degree. So 6 yrs was removed from experience. Huge blow. We on 60pts. We did submit EOI like that even tho I know the ceiling is almost full and it's on pro-rata. We won't have 65 until October when experience will become 5yrs. So I'm considering getting assessed myself for partner point. I have experience in teaching but my bsc isn't in Education. What are my chances? Has anyone been assessed by AITSL here? This PR thing is like the narrow way that is said to lead to heaven. Jesu saanu.. |

Thank you. [qquote author=sunvick post=52943526]@trastar Don't have idea on dorm account. For document certification, I did mine at Lagos state High court VI, located behind TBS. Walk into the court compound and ask for office where documents are certified, when I did mine late last year 2016 its between #100-200 max. Yes, just make photocopy of your documents (yes...black and white)[/quote] |

I have come again.. Has anyone paid for assessment using a $ dorm account? How much were you charged per $ for Aud? I'm asking because I want to make payment using someone's dorm account and he wants to know how much $ before he agrees. Also, the documents to be certified? Is it normal black and white photocopy or coloured? Last question, did anyone do their document certification in a court on the island? Pls which? I asked a friend who works in the court in Ikeja and she was mentioning a ridiculous amount and you guys already mentioned here that it's 100 per page. Thank you |

Lol. But if it's general knowledge that Universities in Nigeria don't send original copies to individuals, wouldn't that make them question how I got it in the first place? I know I'm over analyzing but I like to tie all loose ends. Nigeria Universities are mega-annoying. iceberg54: |
Travel / Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by trastar(f): 1:14pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
I keep reading conflicting information here about Transcript. Nigerian universities don't send transcripts to individuals. You have to upload scanned copy of your transcript on ACS yourself and not to be sent by the university. I have arranged with ETx to get the transcript from Babcock, however. They said the copy I can be given is going to be stamped with "personal copy" and it's not for official purpose. They only send "official copy" to institutions or organizations...and since acs requires me to upload a scanned copy myself...I want to ask... Can I use that copy stamped with "personal copy"? Anyone had this issue? I know I can just put an institution or organizations address to get official copy but... Pls help. bellong: |

Thank you so much. As for the statutory declaration, i have actually seen that copy here and saved it. what got me confused was reading the application checklist on ACS and them stating that they will not accept self statutory declarations. That its has to be a work colleague, preferably supervisor. Could you please clarify on that or the rule has changed? bolaobby: |

OK. 1. Do they require both transcript and statement of result? If one doesn't have a transcript, will that mean going to the school to get one? 2. By certified true copy, where or who can do this certifying of original copies. I read somewhere some people did it 100 per page. Does that work? Basically I'd do photocopy of each document and get it stamped ? 3. My husband is the principal applicant. He has worked in the bank for over 10 years and studied Computer science. He works as a network engineer . He def won't get a reference from the bank. So third party reference. Could you plz help with a sample of this reference letter? Does it have to be on company letter-head? I had plenty other questions and I can't rmbr them right now. Thank you. bolaobby: |
