betrani: Unti we arrest people like ATIKU, IBB, CPC et al! GEJ's government would neva knw peace! Nw is d time to take action against ATIKU to send a msg that d Nigerian state is no longer what it use to b or is knwn for! Charge Atiku to court for treason! His living through to his words!

GEJ is not clueless. He's just a man with some measure of conscience.
The US and Israeli governments would have "plucked them off" knowing that they are the major sponsors and or beneficiaries of the nonsense and can not easily prove it in a law court or knowing that their arrests might give them undeserved popularity.

So after all these bombings and unrests in Kano. People are killed, many are displaced, so many more will relocate for fear of insecurity.
Maybe after two years when all is been settled and we conduct a census. Kano's population will increase by 4 or 5 million while Lagos that has enjoyed relative peace for same period and thriving business. Its population will just increase by mare 100,000 persons. Naija my beloved nation!!!
Well, may Lagos residents no sabi "do". This could be a good reason for its poor increase.

Its really disheartening that someone or a group of persons will just seat and hatch plans to kill, maim, destroy and cause confusion for whatever reason. In the medieval era they did things like this for lack of knowledge but these days, i think its sheer GODlessness (people being completely dead to conscience). Nawa!

Which book? The one that our judges use as "toilet paper"?
Until our judiciary is sanitized, i think all cases she be sent to Britain. Atleast, they have shown us that there book is not for "latrine" use.

My brother, this is real proof that many of us have failed as parents, uncles, aunties or teachers. Good upbringing is fast disappearing. Good old-days you dont even insult your peers let alone seniors or elders even at their backs.

homerac7: Hmmm.... GEJ vs Azazi

By d way, r we in 3rd or 4th republic?

D one often referred as 3rd repubic was inconclusive as d elected president was not sworn in. U can not hv a republic without a democratic president. So OBJ actually started our real 3rd republic.
See, GEJ isnt as slow as some of us think.

I tried in my time o! But there was this time wifey craved for moi-moi around 9pm (she was 5mths+). Where will i find that in this place (Hull, England) at that time of the day. I took my car keys and drove off pretending to go look for it. I drove a few blocks down the road and parked, as i sat in the car thinking of what to do, naim sleep carry me.
I was woken by tappings on the windscreen. It was my wife and one oyinbo woman. Apparently, the woman saw my car and went to do "tatafo". My wife had the intension of coming to confront me and a "chic", only to find me sleeping. My intention was to past time a little so that by the i get back she would slept, but e no work.
However, she called a sis' who's married to an oyinbo man and she gave us bean flour and creyfish. By the d moi-moi ready 12midnight don pass. She still chop am. That day i almost "brake cup" (translate in yoruba).

Politics / Re: Tribalism Among Nigerians In Diaspora And On The Web – A Trend We Need To Stop by Tropilo(m): 10:22am On Apr 26, 2012
Tribalism and sectionalism is everywhere but our case as Nigerians tend towards childishness.
I leave in Hull City and i have friends Jugun (Taraba), Esan (Edo) who are teachers in the university here. We play chess a lot with people of other nationalities and i bet you, tribe never cross my mind with them and i believe same with them (i am Delta Ibo). We look out for one another be it in small loans or whatever. Maybe its because we are few here. We also have a sister who's Yoruba (married to oyinbo) the hub feels "among" with us and enjoys our pigin English. His relationship with us gives our "sister" some form of happiness and someworth security in her marriage as her family are not quite in tune with her mixed union. Infact, we are all planning to come home and help them "d'obale" to her parents. We all listen to a variety of Naija FM stations, but we feel at home more with WAZOBIA FM as against other stations where the female presenters "dey form" accent.
However, i notice that the various Nigerian groups in London form cliques (Londoners are literarily sick generally, anyway). I don't attend diaspora meetings cos of the very nasty politicking that goes with it.
I think its time we stopped this silly childish stuff.
@Shimmex: whatever your intensions, good or mischief, i'll still give you the "thumbs up" for bringing this up.

Yes i agree he goofed in parts of that speech (though he was addressing his party chieftains) but...
Its still better than talking to a crowd of almajiri's telling them "if i dont win" (invade, distroy, vandalize, maim, annihiliate, murder etc etc) all our perceived enemies.

Wait o! Who be d chairman of ACN? allah! If i jam that question for exam i go fail "broke" head. because na Tinubu be Leader, Chairman, Deputy chair, Vice chair, Mr. Lai Mohammed (Sec), Aregbesola (pub sec/youth leader.

Apart from chairman, APGA get officials?

If he actually did this, don't you think he would have been charged to court considering the fact that he is an enemy of the present government. For now, everything is still based on unsubstantiated accusations.

I'm not saying El rufai is a saint but i think he is a focused and result driven person. That's the kind of person we need and not someone who has no heck of an idea what governance is all about.

Ofcos he did. When questioned he said his family are Nigerians also. He even gave his unborn child (foetus) plots.
Politics / Re: 2015: CPC Settles For El-rufai by Tropilo(m): 6:44pm On Apr 23, 2012
Let's be sincere, first of all can CPC score 25% votes cast in the 24 states? Even in a very free and fair election. No matter the party candidates.
CPC can never record more than 30,000 votes in all the SE states put together.
CPC can never score more than 20,000 vote in the entire SS states. Now that's 50,000 votes in 11 states.
CPC can not record more than 300,000
votes in Benue, Plateau, Kwara put together.
If Fashola wants to embarass himself let him go and have an GODly alliance with the party. CPC is less than a regional party. Its clearly a Hausa thing. All their campaigns are in hausa. They don't even bother campaigning in SE and SS.
Lastly, El Rufai is a political liability. If you say GEJ is corrupt, El Rufai is a scoundrel and terribly nepotic. Infact, i am yet find a befitting word for him in that aspect.

Just noticed that the respondents against GEJ lack decorum and are unprovocatively abusive. Why?
If you speak against him, please try and hear the alternate position no matter how stupid or poorly the fellow presents his case. If not you guys might just be tilting the "undecided" votes through sympathy. Have not been voting cause those of us here have been disenfranchised. Hope we'll be allowed to vote in 2015.

I'll vote Katsina as number one cos the state is poor and yet they hv well tarred and networked roads. Besides its not just the state capital but the entire state. The late President really did good there.
Can not vote FCT cos of federal might and they hv very deep pockets (not much difference between Abuja and Pretoria though).
