FamilyRe: Why Do Wives Find It Difficult To Be In Subjection To Their Husbands.— by troy20(m): 2:14pm On Dec 13, 2013
busolayemi: I am a married woman...and I av cum to understand dat submission without an unconditional love on d part of d hubby is 100percent impossible...unless u r married to a 17th century woman...woman who doesn't kno wat she carries in d inside of her. No one says an educated woman shd disregard d hubby, buh my point, women are getting wiser by d day...nd d little tins dat neva mattered to our mothers now matter to us jst like d little tins dat neva mattered to our fathers nao matter to our hubby. A WOMAN DOES NOT GET TO DO THE WHOLE HOUSEWORK while d man fondles with tabs and iphones....it doesn't work dat way. I respect my husband and submit to him as much as he shows he love me nd I cum first. If u feel helping a woman out with housechores is sumtin dt brings down ur ego...den pls, wen ur wife stat actin up....she's hasn't committed a crime. Especially in homes where financial responsibilities are shared whc unfortunately is d case in most home....
"i cum first".was that pun intended? Hmmmm

rhymz: Look at this slowpoke that can hardly tell the difference between labour union and a trade union coming here to write gibberish about rights.
The lecturers on strike are employees of the federal government, they do not own the school or pay their own salaries, they can't even generate their own money to pay their salaries, it all still boils down to the FG that has numerous competing sectors competing for fund.

You think unionism protects your rights as a citizen, you must be one dense illiterate that does not even understands the issue at hand besides mouthing off about PDP. If you think labour or trade unions are the best thing to happen in a democratic, when you eventually start a business, leave it open for all manner of union rights to exist, let your workers dictate yo you how much you must pay them through their unions and see how well such a business will grow.

There is a reason why the private sector does not allow unionism, go and read about the history of unionism in other countries, it is not something employers of labour take lightly because of its disruptive nature, to worsen it, in the case of Nigeria, the only bargaining tools available to our unions is going to strike and nothing else.

Nigeria's education is dead today largely because of the actions of throwing the baby with the bathwater approach of striking to flex power with an FG that has largely shown that it does not have the means to meet up with all the immediate demands of ASUU, whether they have been honest or dishonest about this fact is for another debate but the fact there is that FG can not do more than what is budgeted for or is available to them.

You can keep fooling yourself thinking ASUU is fighting for your ignorant mind but in the end, it is slowpokes like you that will lose and have setbacks when you begin to reckon your gains and loss. I am neither an undergrad or a post grad in any Nigerian University, my contract with them ended with my first degree, since then I have moved on and vowed not to do anything with them. So keep playing your local politics, the world I'd moving past you.
Its been a while i graduated from the tertiary.am not unaware of how unions operate.we have quite a handfull of unpleasant experiences here.unionism has a purpose to protect certain interests for which i believe you should fall in except you are an employer of labour or the nigerian government. No matter how dishonest or discormforting they turn out to be (and am aware of the rough history of the labour union), ASUU's demand should appeal to your interest.i passed through the institution in nigeria.i knew my experience.i knew i wasnt passing through the appropriate experience as a university student. millions of students have been longing for their interest to be represented and ASUU, no matter WHAT, are doing a fine agressive job at it.thats democracy.its probable you dont live here or maybe you had it so good.even if you had it so good its still human to have some empathy. We know our government is not representative of our interest.we've lived in seas of promises long enough to know that as nigerians.you seem to be so sure of the government.what encourages your confidence mr Ruben Abati?

Scorpionking: these piece of s.hit con men also known as MOG should be thrown in the comfort of a jail cell were they rightfully belong.
Why can't Nigeria elect competent leaders to put these Nuisance in Jail, these hypocrites are irritating, cease their fraudulent assets and destroy these scam centers?
Oyedepo, oyakilome, okotie etc are only worthy to be in prison uniforms and used as construction helpers.
your government has a strong pact and friendship with the religious institutions thats why they are not investigated as long as the church and mosque keep the attention of the people from its poor governance.have your pastor or imam ever made refrence to poor governance in anyway critical of the government or anyone? A christ embassy pastor said that we shouldnt question our government and asked if we would do better if elected.there is a pact.keep their attention away from government and we would keep ours out of your busness.so while our government heap suffering, insecurity, poverty upon us we blame the devil and look to God to punish him.

desdichando: People who reason like u are part of dz nations problems!!!!
Dd john d bapst speak to herod face to face?dd elisha/elija condemn king ahab/ahaz/jezebel face to face?
My point is wid the kind of fellowership from d media and nigerians these pastos enjoy,do u realise what an earth shaking statement by for example chris oyakhilome condemning the. Ministers of education, transport etc would have on d citizenry and nigerians as a whole? The press would surely carry it up and who knwz what would happen from there..I dnt condemn shiloh or other public xtian gatherings but I condemn the kinda message thatz passed across...
So,u knw most of our political oFficers r all church goers.
If I was a man of God and 50per cent of my members r youths who haven't been in sch for close to 5months,it should/would touch me.
There r no demns caging us in nigeria..the ministers of education, road and transport, ferma etc r the physical demons we have here who God has revealed to us...faroul lawan is also amongst them..includn the NNpC which siphoned several billions of dollars..those r the people holding us down..those r the people u shouldbe casting and stoning and binding
i see you try to put away your reason but a man mentally bound by mental shackels is most difficult to unbound.you seem to be ruining the atmosphere for everyone here brother.we all are e-high on spiritual methamphetamine.dont you feel bewielded by what a few spiritual words by "man-of-God" oyedepo down at his shiloh ground could produce on sane learned minds? It is indeed things of the spirit as they say.forget reason for now brother.get lost in the spiritual trance of the moment.we are all long gone to have our juices flowing right in our heads again.you cant afford to be the one eyed king in the land of the blind.join in the madness as i'm tired of seeing reason myself.Time shall unbound our shackles.what do you think?
EducationRe: ASUU Members Disrupt Lecture At UNIBEN (Pictures) by troy20(m): 8:16pm On Dec 11, 2013
rhymz: On a more serious note, ASUU should either be disbanded or reduced to the confines of each individual University, they should not be allowed to wield the kind of arbitrary powers they presently have that can be used to cause a nation wide disruption of academic activities in our Universities. It is becoming glaringly clear to all that the whole thing is becoming political and has lost purpose.

It is pretentious and hypocritical for ASUU to continue to hide under the guise of fighting for education to play opposition politics without seeing the destructive effect their political power play is having on the education sector.
You go on strike for six months even when your salaries were being paid without delay, your main reason being that you must get all the benefits of the allowances and bonuses promised you by the previous government, when queried on how that enhances the education sector, they hypocritically toned down on it in the open and instead divert everyone's attention to fighting for the the standard of education to be improved even when their actions are clearly antithetical to improving the sector.

The issues about University funding and autonomy is not a one way decision to be taken solely by ASUU and federal government, the merit and demerits of such proposal like funding or autonomy will have to be thoroughly debated and vetted, everyone has to be protected, giving the tendencies of an average Nigerian authority to be overly despotic, giving school management the go-ahead to fix school fees, generate its own revenue and have full autonomy, will only aftfect the children of common folks without the money or means but interested in tertiary education, they will be the first casualties of such autonomy, We have already seen ugly examples in state schools like LASU, I don't see how that has improved anything there.

The issues are not clear cut for immediate decisions to be taken on them without recourse to all the stake holders.... Besides, university education is not the only part of education that needs funding, these things are gradual and take time, holding the FG by the balls to do it now now will only further worsen and annoy the situation, federal government can only disburse funds within the limits of the budgets, any further suggestion fir them to do the extraordinary regardless of the fact that such monies are non-existent is criminal and the height of political dishonesty. ASUU is killing University education, once this issue is resolved, federal government should take decisive steps to either scrap labour unionism in our tertiary institutions or at least reduce their influence to a manageable extent.
after 14yrs the pdp government sure need to reward your unalloyed faith in them still.escept you are labaran maku.you think the government gives a rat a.r.se about you? Scraping trade unionism in this already farce democracy? do you know your entitled rights as a citizen? if You realy do then you sure are worse than ruben Abati.
EducationRe: ASUU Members Disrupt Lecture At UNIBEN (Pictures) by troy20(m): 4:54pm On Dec 09, 2013
ASUU's demands might all seem a bit selfish but its also for your benefit.the quality of education is very poor.nigerian institutions have to keep up with standard.i know my experience as a student.they have started this war and they cant back out now unmet.its just an example of the experience during the fuel subsidy strike.if you back out now, it makes a huge statement and you cant win the war again if you try.its should be obvious the government dont give a rat A.r.s.e about you guys.just sad nigeria produces the most gullible, timid students.pathetic.3 damn months ! If you guys realy had the feary fire of knowlegde breathing out through your nose you would bring this country to a stand still.you just dont know the power you have.you student ought to be breathing fire.thats what real education does to you.this cant happen in Europe.

Tiago Ilori: DEFENDER.Signed by liverpool for £7million last summer from sporting lisbon where he spent his formative years with the youth team.He was born in london to a portuguese mother and a nigerian father. He is yet to get some quality game time in liverpool where SAkHO and TOURE are yet ahead of him but so is OMERUO at chelsea. An unbled youngster for £7million has to be that good for a defender.

fellis: So you're not even religious? Thank god I didn't take your mumu posts serious.
being religious doesnt make you a christian.you would rather if i was a fanatic or a radical like you? I know its hard to accept the obvious.God by all accounts of the bible and its events is not a democrat and because i believe in the bible and HIS ways, a woman was merely taking out of a man who was the main idea of creation. The events of the bible unfairly (by the standard of our modern day democracy and justice system) compromised the value of women.there are many events.did you know that the daughter of a priest then who lost her virginity could receive the death penalty? Pls tell me you understand now.

fellis: @bold, I agree. Both male and female children are special. How important or special a child is should be determined by many factors such and not just the ge nital parts of the child.
male children are more important to the world everybody in the world knows it.just that alot dont want to admit it.we are not descrediting the female sex contribution.but every man born to a family, to a society, to a nation makes it stronger.
SportsList Uncapped in-form Players Keshi Should Call-up by troy20(op):

coolandcute: Let me share this story!!!last five months as a guest I saw a thread of one famous female nairalander advicing someone on relationship matters then I started having crush on her since that day then went to her profile and she was very pretty then got her twitter handle,I added her on twitter and we started talking and from there I got her bb pin, through chatting on bbm we got very close and I started believing that am falling in love and she was feeling the same way too, then after two months of chatting we finally decided to meet each other,@op when I finally met her DAMN!!!I was very disappointed, she saw the disappointment on my face, she was not as beautiful as she was on pictures,I did not know that everything I saw when we were chatting online na wetin dem dey call make-up film trick!!!!she is UGLY!!!!that day she started discovering the way I was acting and asked me that am I not happy to see her I just smiled mischievously, but after that day I said to myself "I will never fall in love with someone have not seen"but what shocked me more was that this same chick do insult so many chicks on nairaland saying they are ugly,so ever since then i discovered that for anyone is having crush on anyone online make sure u see the person first before u start having any funny feelings for the person.

jay bee: A very ridiculous pursuit IMO. Saw first hand today how some men can be so cruel
I saw two Nigerian couple arguing on my way back from the hospital few hours ago. The husband was literally shouting at the wife and of course she was sobbing and all. I initially thought they were arguing because the wife was pregnant or something along that line.

I got into my car, drove out of the car park only to find myself right behind the couple's car. The husband suddenly stopped his car and chased the wife out of the car. I immediately stopped as i was right behind them and knew something terrible is happening between the two.
I asked where she was going and offered to drop her. She entered my car with tears running down her eyes so i asked what the problem was.

I couldn't believe it when she told me the man is upset because the scan they just did revealed they are expecting a baby girl. Apparently this is her 3rd pregnancy and she already has two daughters. I was gobsmacked, angry that a so called husband can drop his pregnant wife in the cold all because she is having a baby girl.

I'm actually still very upset because i can't believe how some people can complain about the sex of a child when tons are still praying to just have one. Grrrrrrhhhhhhhhhh
you are not a good liar
