Whether u and your haters group like it or not, Jonathan Is The Change We Need, Just like Obama, Jonathan shall Rule Nigeria, since others in the past Fumble
Nobody is ever accused of being an IBB, Atiku, Gusau etc hater
It is acceptable to abuse these guys. Indeed it is encouraged as a demonstration of patriotism
But anybody who criticises GJ is a "sinner" and must have been paid
The double standard is amazing

So if in a democracy you ignore the haters, how do you GJ's lovers hope to make him president - by a coup or by ATM-like rigging
Oh, he is the change we require because he is flying 1st class on BA like Cameron and has stopped the orders for the elephantine presidential jets?
FYI GJ is already ruling Nigeria. He has been doing so since February

beespak7:

At least it was way better than the " PELLOW NIGERIANS" that we have been hearing all along the years grin grin
No, GJ has a PhD
He is supposed to speak better

@labiyemmy:

When Chinese President speaks English - it is hard to understand what he says - but no Chinese person makes a laughing stock of him, but in Nigeria - they make a laughing stock of their President, and check who are the people making jest of him - the so called youths - who has nothing to offer Nigeria but to spell fire and brimstone on the nation.

Poster- why not write to the President and tell him you hate the way he conducts his affairs?
We have always criticised other presidents - go and read history
GJ either wants to be a Nigerian president and be ready to be criticised or he should go and become a president of China or better still Norh Korea
Did you think Fawehinmi, Soyinka & co made their names by clapping for past presidents
We are not going to rewrite the rules because of GJ

Meldrick:

I wonder why people like you must speak based on assumptions? Ibori did this and that, were you there?
IBB killed Dele Giwa, Obj know about Bola Ige's death, GJ has done nothing about Dipo Dina's death
Were you too there?

Jimmy Boy:

Gbawe, I agree with you to a large extent, but you seem to have seriosly underrated the authority vested in a Commander-in-Chief of a country. A state governor can be hoodwinked by God-father, but that does not apply to the president. Though there will surely be compromise and concessions here and there, but the president is never going to be in anybody's pocket, it was illness that pocketed late President Yaradua and not God-fathers.

I agree that the president is not so sophisticated and does not appear to be so knowledgible or exposed, but the needs of this country are so basic that you only need to be sincere in order to get things done. You dont need to be a Havard Graduate before you can get roads tarred, How do you think that some of our illeterate mothers were able to train University Graduates sometimes from proceeds of sales of Akara and Eko etc ? Love, dedication , determination,

In conclusion, I think we have a chance with GEJ, because providence placed him in the palce of power and not God-Father, therefore he is in better position to deliver.
Adedibu pocketed Obj. Why?
GJ has not shown sincerity with the harliburton case. People are charged to court - they are not informed; not arrested and not produced in court
The judge has already removed himself from the case - perhaps he does not want his name rubbished

Providence, God brought him there
This is the excuse that is easiest to debunk
God does not go on vacation, so God must have allowed every other leaders to get there
Providence brought Obj there after Murtala - he ended up corruptly enriching himself
Providence brought Abdusalami there
Providence brought Obj there again from prison
what did we see - corrupt enrichment eg Transcorp's shares, spending N250m on the incorporation of Galaxy Backbone by his friend - Afe Babalola
Please, we have seen providence before

Do you remember the destruction of Atlas Cove by MEND on the day Okah was released
Do you remember the 2 car bombs at Warri in March this year. Those were similar to what happened at Abuja on Friday

anyway, some history
May 31, 1995: Ilorin Stadium. Just before launch of Family Support Programme.

I totally agree with those people who termed our presido GEJ has been naive to the act of governance, that singular act has really lead to alot of people undermining his prowess to lead Nigeria including members of his own government (saraki and Gusua.
How on earth will he align himself to MEND? Pls let him mentioned names, however i want to advised he shud neva think that he can robe some of his political opponents into this poo.

Saraki has the right to contest
In doing so, he has the right to criticise GJ
That does not amount to undermining
Gusau has also left GJ's government and he can contest without undermining Johnathan
But what is it about this GJ's government that nobody is allowed to contest against him?
Are we heading for totalitarianism? - one candidate scoring 95% electoral votes like in some african countries?

Castigate every action of his opponents?

Some of GJ's supporters raise arguments that stand facts on their head - just watch
I don't support GJ for various reasons (one of which is that he is a member of PDP) but I will not invent stories against him
I have read some terrible rumours about him but I don't cite them because I am not sure of their authencity
Some of GJ's supporters do not exercise such restraint when lampooning GJ's opponents

Facts - MEND has the capability to and has bombed installations
MEND has used synchronised car bomb preceded by warning
MEND's known spokesperson warned before, and claimed responsibility after, the attack

We insist on ignoring these and embark on conjectures
GJ says he knows the perpetrators - let him bring them to justice

As for letting others rule

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20101001/hl_yblog_upshot/u-s-apologizes-to-guatemalans-for-secret-std-experiments

U.S. scientific researchers infected hundreds of Guatemalan mental patients with sexually transmitted diseases from 1946 to 1948. They even encouraged many of them to pass the disease on to others.
However this prgramme had the approval of the Guatemalan government

The other programme was named
"Tuskegee experiment," studying 399 poor black men from Macon County, Ala., who had been diagnosed with syphilis but never informed of their condition. Federal scientists simply told the men they had "bad blood" and researchers compiled a four-decades-long study monitoring "untreated syphilis in the male Negro." Researchers never treated the illness over its usually fatal course, even after the simple remedy of penicillin was shown to be an effective syphilis treatment; participants received only free meals and medical exams, together with federal funding of their funeral expenses after they died. The study began in 1932, continuing right through to 1972, when it was exposed in media reports.

The upshot - donor agencies do not always mean well

This first of October 2011 Abuja car bomb attack is NOT the handiwork of any Niger Delta militant group.  While those oil-field militants are proven old hands in fielding demolition explosives, the ascension of their tribesman Jonathan Goodluck to the position of Nigeria's president coincided with an unprecedented general disarmament and cessation of hostilities by ALL the Niger Delta's armed groups, in a peace accord that holds to this day and hour.

Retired former military dictators of the Northern Islamic subspecies, seeking to create a climate of fear among voters in the upcoming Nigerian presidential elections, would be more plausible masterminds  willing to orchestrate this classic Bhagdad single-site double-blast, timed moments apart to inflict maximum casualties among servicemen responding to the scene after the first of two choreographed explosions.

Jonathan Goodluck, the ONLY Nigerian president to break Nigeria's 35-year electrical blackout, by lighting up more of the Nigerian nation than any leader in living memory, has accrued enough genuine, nationwide goodwill, to ASSURE the mold-breaking incumbent a sweeping electoral victory in the next presidential polls.  It is hardly surprising, therefore, that "The Opposition", currently comprising those homicidal geriatric ghosts of military reign, former tyrants Babangida and Buhari, may have already chosen the path of bloodshed and chaos, in what will ultimately prove a spectacular FAILURE of an attempt to rig or influence the outcome of those upcoming presidential polls.

Though I admire a lot about OBJ & his unique brand of Nigerian politics, fact remains he's one of the biggest hypocrites that ever walked on Nigerian soil. If you paid closer attention to the things he says, you would find out it's the exact opposite of what he does in real life.

OBJ is a great hypocrite
.
You are spot on

While secretly buying Transcorp shares, he was accussing Atiku of buying AP through a front and voided the privatisation
When Gowon wanted to participate in the transition programme under IBB, Obj asked him what he forgot at the state house
Yet in 1999 Obj went back to the state house and wanted to die there
Obj sent soldiers to Odi and Zaki Biam because the conduct of the people there undermined national security
Yet he instigated rioting and arson in Anambra state to pave way for declaration of a state of emergency
He witheld Lagos state's fund because the creation of additional LGs by Tinubu was "unconstitutional"
Yet he wanted a constitutionally elected governor to submit to the authority of a thug (Adedibu)
He shouted and ranted about fighting corruption - set up EFCC, hounded governors he did not like
Yet he shielded Bode George from prosecution, continued to support Adedibu after the Ibadan crook said he was entitled to 50% of his state's security vote; his friend/lawyer, Afe Babalola, was given a contract to incorporate Galaxy Backbone. That exercise cost us N250m

When Yaradua took ill and went to KSA for the last time, Obj's opinion was sought. He did not say anything, 2 weeks later he started talking about resigning if you are not fit etc All along, the press had been talking along with others

Now somebody who did not commit himself until he was sure that Yaradua could no longer deal with him is now saying the entire nation kept quiet until he spoke up
Indeed, Obj always takes credit for good things and apportion blames for errors to others

We can go on

This is the full story from The Nation
The picture of the house is there too
http://thenationonlineng.net/web3/news/14795.html

I don't have any sympathies for Fayose as a person
But I believe that EFCC is just persectuing political opponents of PDP people or Johnathan
This matter arose in 2006 and now that the man wants to contest the governorship position on the platform of Labour party, they have woken up

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Wednesday sealed off two houses belonging to former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The houses are in the high brow Government Reservation Area (GRA). One is at 1, Fagbohun Street, Iyaganku; the other is near the Court of Appeal.

But Fayose said the EFCC’s action would not stand as he was prepared to head for court to enforce his fundamental human rights.

EFCC said the action followed Fayose’s alleged refusal to comply with a court order.

A statement by the commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Babafemi, said the EFCC had no choice than to give effect to a subsisting order.

The statement said: "Sequel to the failure of former Governor Fayose to comply with a court order on the interim forfeiture of his assets earlier obtained by EFCC, the anti-graft agency on Wednesday sealed off two houses belonging to the former governor in choice areas of Ibadan.

"The houses had to be sealed off to give effect to the court order after it was discovered that the former governor had defied the subsisting court order and the houses criminally broken into and occupied.

"The EFCC had on July 27, 2006 obtained a court order on the interim forfeiture of assets and properties belonging to Fayose after he was discovered to have engaged in fraudulent activities and money laundering when he held sway as governor of Ekiti State.

"He was subsequently arraigned by the Commission on a 51-count charge in a Federal High Court, Lagos for alleged money laundering, illegal diversion and misappropriation of the sum of N1.2 billion.

"The presiding judge, Justice Tijani Abubakar, had ordered then that an interim forfeiture be placed on the former governor’s property pending the determination of the case.

"EFCC subsequently executed the order of the court by placing the former governor’s property under seal.

"However, without vacating the court order, the former governor and his family returned to the property in defiance of the subsisting order hence, the Commission’s decision to re-seal the property.

"Part of the court order reads: "An order of interim forfeiture of the asset and properties listed in the schedule set out below and attached to this motion as Exhibit EFCC4 which the application is satisfied are the proceeds and disbursement arising out of financial crimes pending the hearing and determination of the charge No FHC/179C/2006…"

"Ayodele Fayose was first arraigned by the EFCC on December 17, 2006 but was later granted bail by the court. Though he took his plea, he has since been filing frivolous applications in his attempt to prolong and delay trial.

"In one of such instances on March 17, 2008, when the matter came up for hearing, proceedings were stalled due to the absence of the former governor in court as he was reported ill. Earlier this year, the governor challenged the jurisdiction of the court on his trial in Lagos; the case has now been transferred to Ekiti Federal High Court."

But Fayose, in an interview with The Nation, accused the Ekiti State Government of being behind the seal off.

Fayose cited a September 20 letter to EFCC chair Mrs. Farida Waziri by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Ekiti State, Mr. Gboyega Oyewole, to support his allegation.

The letter, which was obtained by The Nation, reads in part: "You will recall that Peter Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State, was impeached by the Ekiti State House of Assembly over financial impropriety sometimes in 2006.

"Shortly after the impeachment, he was arrested by the EFCC and was charged to the Federal High Court, Lagos Judicial Division.

"The Honourable court then ordered the EFCC to seize his properties.

"Please, be informed that your office has not given effect to the valid order of the Honourable Federal High Court till date and we believe this is an oversight having regard to your record as a crusader for rule of law and the sanctity of court’s order.

"It is our plea that you use your good offices to facilitate compliance with the court order and your counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, who is aware of this order would be of immense assistance in this regard."

But in a swift reaction, Fayose said: "Let the EFCC publish the said court order for all Nigerians to see. If there was any court order that I had not obeyed, what have they been doing since three years ago without giving effect to it?

"He who comes to equity must do so with clean hands. Let them make the said order available to the public. I have been living in my house in the past few years but they decided to wake up overnight to seal it off.

"Even when they got to my house, there was no court order, nothing. My wife said they only said they had come to paste somethings on my house and this was a major embarrassment.

"It is just overzealousness on the part of the EFCC. The EFCC and I are before a law court. The matter has been charged to court for almost three years. So, why should EFCC now take laws into their hands? Why should they go to my house because Attorney-General Gbenga Oyewole wrote to them that there is a court order that they should seize my property? Has the EFCC forgotten that this matter is about three years? So, have they just woken from their slumber or from where?

"So, if they are doing politics with their job; that is then and if it is an attempt to harass me not to contest this coming election, they are wasting their time because if they stop anybody they can’t stop me.

"My wife or my family can’t be evacuated because there was no court order.

"We have approached the court. So, how come they have now suddenly woken up because election is in view.

"If that is part of the strategies Mrs Farida Waziri is hoping to use in collaboration with the Ekiti State Government, they are wasting their time because I am God’s project, I can’t be stopped.

"Even if they stop everybody, they can’t stop me and it is a very clear indication that they want to start intimidating people. I cannot be intimidated. The era of intimidation is gone.

"The EFCC has no right whatsoever to harass or intimidate me and my family.

They should not allow themselves to be used by politicians and political interests. Their job is to fight corruption and I expect them to commit themselves to that."

For the past decade or so, E. K. Clark has led the ND Elders which includes several super heavyweights (e.g. Olorogun Michael Ibru).
For good or bad, the man cannot be overlooked.
On the internet
Let him stop anybody in reality

The only reason anybody was chosen from the SS is because of the threat MEND was posing at the time. The army was sent in several times, yet there was no respite, so Obj chose to pacify the people with a ceremonial position. Nobody really cared about Ogbia or the people there; zoning can only benefit majority ethnicities, but what Nigeria needs, is to move away from tribal politics and choose leaders based on potential and merit.
You think that Gj is the best candidate in terms of merit now
He is better than DuKe, Utomi?
This is confining it to SS

Merit wise, that ambition is dead as dodo
But using the power of incumbency, he can armtwist people

You really need to know the full background of Odili, Ateke Tom, Soboma George and Atiku. Once you've learnt these things, you'll come to understand what I'm saying.

Talking about Uduaghan, there has always been serious tension between the Ibori camp and E.K. Clark (for exactly the same reason there was tension with Odili).
Clark came out worse againsty the two of them
Where is the power?

That is totally untrue. Zoning will only make minorities a plaything of the major ethnicities.
Jonathan is in power, not because of zoning, but because Yar Adua (RIP) lost his life.
Why not true?
You think that without zoning, they will now go to one corner of Ogbia to fish out somebody who has not distinguished himself in a very exceptional manner to be president
If you a from a minority group, any contest strictly based on national merit puts you at a disadvantage
You have to be miles ahead of people from the majority groups
But with zoning, you only need to be first among your fellow compatriots from the minority group to which it has been zoned
