Dear Sir,

I am surprised that Nigerians have not realised that Mr. Okah is a big part of the Independence Day Bomb Blast puzzle.

The issues seem very clear to me. The chain of events immediately after the blast indicate a high level conspiracy on the part of a group of people to destabilise the President by any means necessary.

First, why would a Government aide call Okah in South Africa and not any of the other MEND leaders in Nigeria to retract their statement? Afterall Okah denies any involvement in the blast.

Why did Okah grant the interview to Aljazeera except he was being paid to whip up Anti-Jonathan sentiments in the North? Why did the 'Northern elders' pretend to capitalise on that to ask for the President's resignation? Why have some of these people now gone to court to compel the National Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against the President?

You can see that Okah and his paymasters are just acting out a script. Nigerians should not be fooled. We all know that under all the past presidents in Nigeria no one has ever been asked to resign over such a tragic incident. Recall Boko Haram, Jos killings etc.

I wonder if Henry Okah would be ready to take a lie detector test? He can then tell us who actually carried out the blast!

Can GEJ group take lie detector test?

FRIDAY MORNING - MEND sent emails to warn of impending attacks
FRIDAY MORNING - Bombs went off
SATURDAY EVENING - President says MEND was just used as a straw and that MEND is not a terrorist organisation
SATURDAY NIGHT - MEND claims responsibility for bombing and apologises for deaths
MONDAY MORNING - Dokpesi arrested
MONDAY MORNING - Okah charged to court
MONDAY EVENING - NTA airs text messages linking Dokpesi to bombing. Most people agree those text messages are fake

From the above, who started this conspiracy or who politicised the issue

The whole idea for him was to infiltrate them and immediately he got re-elected,he showed them his true colour.
What true colour?
The man had shown his true colour as soon as he assumed office
He was involved in the impeachment of Okadigbo - before 2003
He also tried to remove Anyim - before 2003
Why did they start impeachment proceedings against him
You think all those allegations were baseless

When did he start building Abuja stadium before approval shortly after becoming president
Before 2003

How are we to believe that a military man who wanted to get away from the influence of his former backers
would not know that he needed money to attain that independence
and he allowed those same people to continue to steal - making more money to fight him later - while he just stood by,watching
Please be gracious enough to assume that God with giving us some intelligence
We all knew Obj's true colour before 2003

And the library - how was it funded? Somebody said it was "donated" the way danfo drivers "donate" N20 at check police points
And what about his new mansion in Abeokuta
He personally admitted he owned 200m shares in Transcorp. Should we not believe that too?
The man is enmeshed in corruption

You should note that he is a hypocrite
He used to abuse Zik and Awo
But when he ran into trouble with Orji Uzor Kalu, he started saying that Orji Kalu did not respect elders and was not being a true African
When he was abusing Zik and Awo, pray where was african culture and respect for elders

Obj single handedly brought biafra to its knees(GEJ on independence day award). He has continued to fight that war and even gave up biafran territories to cameroon for betterment of Nigeria. What else can a man do to prove his love for his nation. Ibb in turn tried to make policies and plans for development of nigeria but failed and increased economic woes of nigeria. He also realised that biafra war has ended unlike obj. Both are saints once your interest is covered by either and
criminals when your interest is not covered by either.
Single-handedly?
A war that lasted 30months?
Even superman could not have achieved that in the most fictionalised film
Forget GEJ - another power-hungry, history-twisting, garisson politics PDP aspirant
GEJ would not tell you the whole truth while trying to curry electoral favours

Did he bring corruption to its knees?
Did he not intimdate his political enemies by indicting them for no reason CF Tejuoso who had never been in government and who just wanted to contest against Iyabo

Patriotism? Will he have given Bakassi away if that was his local government
When EFCC was on Iyabo's case, did he ask her to turn herself in?
A patriotic father would have put the nation first and advised her to go and clear her name

all this is obj
nw
who destroyed hw currency
who allowed a mad man to be president (abacha not even a Nigerian)
who made cocaine and 419 legal
who is the biggest thief in nigeria of billions
while u know the answer
Selective amnesia
Which Tinubu corruption - where is the conviction?
How many governors did he convict?
He prosecutes and convicts on the pages of newspapers

Have you read the PTDF report on Obj's corruption?
How much of PTDF money did Obj spend on his girlfriend's geep?
How many shares of Transcorp did he buy - 200m units?
Where did a near bankrupt person get the money from? (200m x N6 per share)
Do you remember Bode george - Why was no case brought against him before Yaradua became president

Obj nearly stole N1b when he wanted to organise the national conference
He asked for extra allocation
The senate said no, you have enough money already allocated
Somehoe the money surfaced

Who set up Ita Oko, the first concentration camp in Nigeria?

You are making accusations that are based on rumours
come up with facts

Obj recently said that when Yaradua was in Saudi Arabia
The entire nation kept quiet until he spoke up

Is that true? Something that happened about 9months ago!
Why would he not lie about anything

Now he feels bad about June 12
He said MKO was not the messiah
And as president, what did he do about it? - he fought Tinubu who declared it a public holiday
NASS said he should immortalise MKO, he refused
He started lamenting about June 12 just 2 weeks after leaving office
And you can trust such a character?

Why did Obj not become UN secretary general
Let him say these things in the presence of Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana (and not before some undergraduates that he can bully)
He will regret for ever

He allowed Atiku loot all the money he could make under PTDF and BPE as he was the one churning out oil blocs to his fellow northerners but obj stopped him from becoming the president and the same way he's trying to stop a corrupt ibb from coming to rule us again.
And Obj is not corrupt?

Daily Trust has always been a pathetic paper. They are unashamedly tribalistic and hate anything from the south with a frightening intensity. Did you not take note of their pro-cabal reports during the Yar Adua saga? Half of all their headlines were to the effect; "Jonathan is a liar", "Jonathan is a coward", "Jonathan is stealing from the North" etc.

Now, this is becoming comedy central. Who releases people on whose behalf other miscreants can organise fake calls to international media houses?
Wake up from that dream. Okah is a drowning man.
Do you think southern papers are not tribalistic?
Do you think people here are not tribalistic?
Now Obj is not happy that IBB annulled an election

My point is that some people who were happy with the annulmment of Abiola's election
Are now attacking IBB, citing election annulment,
While in fact they are attacking IBB for traibal and other reasons

BTW, You posted a story from Tribune (from Tribune!!!) sometime this week

IBB - Kiled Coup plotters        OBJ - Odi (flattened)
IBB - Paris Club Debt              OBJ - Paid Paris Club Debt and re-accumulated it

On the flip side cool

IBB - Third mainland bridge, Abuja, Aso Villa, Roads - most surviving expressways in Nigeria, etc (Infrastructure development, no reforms)

OBJ - GSM, PHCN prepiad meter, Bank reforms, civil service reforms, tax reforms, etc (Reforms, no Infrastructure development)

Both of them enjoyed massive oil windfall from wars in the Middle East

Obj killed coup plotters - Dimka,  Bissal etc
It was IBB that dislodged Dimka from Radio Nigeria after he (Dimka) killed Murtala
This was heroic act

Actually IBB reformed the financial system
He promulgated BOFIA, revised the CBN Act, introduced finance houses, BDCs
He started privatisation through TCPC (later BPE)
He reformed the LG system too
He reformed the broadcast system - set up National Broadcasting Commission
There were no private TV stations before IBB's time

All the programs introduced by IBB were badly manged. SAP, MAMSA and the rest were just introduced so that to siphone and steal our money.
And Obj's programmes
Go and look at NEEDS document

I don't like IBB but look at his achievements
You cannot compare him to Obj

The gas pipeline that bring gas to Lagos was built by IBB in 1989
It is the same one they are extending to West African countries
That is the only one we have and that is why we don't have gas all year round
They have to shut it down for cleaning (pigging)
If anybody had built a 2nd one, we would not have any need to shut off gas supply completely during pigging

IBB started the LNG project
Subsequent administrations made their names from collecting bribe on subsequent trains of that project

IBB completed the 3rd Mainland bridge in Lagos
Prior to IBB's tenure, it was an abandoned project

IBB introduced FRSC

IBB liberalised the licensing of Banks - some banks we know today came during his time - Zenith, GTB, IBTC, Intercontinental, Oceanic, Fidelity etc
Prior to that it was very very difficult to get a banking licence

IBB commenced privatisation - he was the one that set up TCPC and later renamed it BPE

IBB gave us the acclaimed primary healthcare under Prof Olikoye Kuti
This is still acclaimed today

IBB created the National Commission for Women which became the Ministry of Women of Affairs

IBB gave us the first female VC - Prof Grace Alele Williams

Established NEXIM, NDIC, National Planning Commission, OMPADEC (now NDDC) Bureaux de Change

Abolished the wandering law

And of course, he created ANAN which ICAN members do not like. hahaha

OBJ is far too better to be compared to or with IBB. The level of atrocities during OBJ tenure wasn't as much as that of IBB. OBJ could not achieve much due to National Assembly bottlenecks I suppose, but at least in terms of telecommunication, he deserves kudos.

IBB never needed any other arm of government to implement any policy as a military president unlike the democracy that the executive might have a good project at hand which the House members may kick against if Ghana must go won't b coming their way.

Those clamouring for the return of IBB to power are the fraudsters that IBB' administration enriched. IBB's major policy is: I steal N1,000 and you steal N5.

I still believe that Obj is WORSE than IBB

Babangida Patron Saint of Corruption In Nigeria

Ibrahim Babangida remains the patron saint of corruption in Nigeria. No Nigerian leader before him could boast of On e million dollars in networth when they left office.

Belewa - Broke with a village hut.

Ironsi - Broke with family surviving on goodwill of kinsmen.

Gowon - British had to pay for his upkeep in exile.

Mohamed - Returned stolen money to the treasury. Died poor.

Obasanjo - The first Obansanjo was owing so much money on the loan for his farm he was bankrupt.

Shagari - Retired poor to his village.

Buhari - Essentially made no money as Head of State. Might have helped himself under Abacha. (post IBB influence)

The fact is none of the leaders before Babangida could phantom you could steal like he did and get away with it. Babangida set the Billionaire standard for the leaders after him. Every Nigerian leader from then on must try to steal a billion dollars. Abacha, Ibori, Igbinedion etc are all Babangida's creation.

This is an untrue post

Obj awarded many contracts to his friends to help himself before leaving office in 1979
Remember the Andrew Young story?
He proceeded to set up a farm - Temperance Enterpries (to hide his ownership of the company)
When people saw through that ruse, he renamed it Obasanjo Farms

Obasanjo became bankrupt due in part to his incarceration by Abacha
He returned to office in 1999 bankrupt
Is he still a pauper today?

Go and check out his house
Go and check how he used govt influence to buy a N7b library for himself
What about the contract he awarded to his friend/lawyer (Afe Babalola) to incorporate just 1 company for N250m

I really cannot stand the hypocrite

You also said that  Buhari may have helped himself - you are not sure but you are saying it
The one of Obj that we are sure of you are ignoring
I don't think this is how to build a nation

How come people like Fashola have left a good mark on their states (even if not ALL good), when they could have embezzled all that money and instead paid people to sing their praises.

Nigerians - dead and alive are crying for vengeance, if you are truly a Nigerian , you should stop supporting unjust courses lest we invoke a course on you. A fool is thought wise if he keep silent.
My conscience makes it difficult for me to vote PDP - Atiku, GEJ, IBB, Gusau
You should include that
IBB left office 17 years ago
And PDP has been in power for 11 years

People are living from hand to mouth
Cameron is flying on commercial airlines
GEJ is buying more planes for the presidential fleet
How can we vote for this PDP true blood

AT LAST SEE SOMEONE MAKING SENSE.

i HAVE BEEN VERY WORRIED READING THROUGH THIS THREAD AND SEEING PEOPLE BLAMING GEJ FOR FRAMING DOKPESI/IBB.

SOME EVEN SAY IT'S A SHODDY FRAME UP.

YOU MUST ALL BE BABIES DURING IBB'S YEARS OF TERROR.

DO YOU GUYS THINK THEY CALL THE BAS.TA.RD EVIL FOR NOTHING.

IF IT WERE IBB IN GEJ SHOES TODAY, HE WOULD HAVE 'BOMB-BLASTED' ALL OPPOSITION TO SHREDS.

ENI TI O KAN L'O MO.

GO AND ASK THE FAMILIES OF KUDIRAT, MKO, VATSA, REWANE, SARO WIWA, DELE GIWA, AND MANY OTHERS.

IN MY OPINION, EVEN IF THE ARREST OF DOKPESI WAS WRONG, IBB SHOULD BE OPPOSSED WITH ALL AVAILABLE APARATUS.

HE IS A BAAAAAAD MAN

OLORIBURUKU, OLOSHI, APAYAN, WERE, ERANKO, OMO ALE.
If it is right to frame people, you too can be framed by t he police for some offence
A friend was nearly framed for armed robbery a few years back
I don't wish it on anyone
BTW, since you are old enough you should have known that
Abacha killed Rewane, Kudirat, Saro Wiwa
IBB annulled MKO's election
But itw as Abacha that jailed him
And of course he died after Abacha's death
Let us take decisions based on facts

When has Presidency in Nigeria turned to a relay baton, OBJ has ruled twice, IBB wanted his coming back at all cost, BUHARI desperate to come back too, out of  150 million people, let the rule of equal right and justice be applied.  Either Military in uniform or military as civilian president military mentality still exits. Cant these half baked rulers leave Nigeria's jugular vein?
GEJ is very very desperate
Buhari is not
He lost at the supreme court in 2007 and accepted the verdict
GEJ is trying to upturn the constitution of his party

If you believe in the rule of equal right and justice
then you cannot speak against Buhari
BTW in the US, former soldiers contest position
Eisenhower was the military leader of the allied forces during WWII
He went ahead to become civilian president 2 times
