bleeping Americans,  why didn't they bust President Clinton and his MENA Drug Smuggling associates? Why didn't they  find out who killed the 2 teens that were left on the Railway track and made to look like an accident? How about American drug smuggling in Afghanistan by American Armed Forces and the CIA? Who brought drugs into America? Who killed Marilyn Monroe? Who killed JFK? Did Bush not attack Iraq by lying about the presence of WOMD? If there is no drug demand, who will border about the supply?

My people, there are always 2 versions to any story;
1. What really happened,
2. What the media reports that happened,

No matter how the so-called white people try to paint us as devils, the fact is we are closer to God than they are,
PEACE,

So this guy is honest?
If they cover up crimes committed by their own people, must your man join them?
Afterall, America has the largest number of nobel prize winners
even if you believe in favouristism, 50% of them are justified
Should we not be going after glorious things rather than saying only our crimes are being detected and publicised?

Amid all people that have govern Nigeria, OBJ is still the best, irrespective of his atrocities, no candidate will emerge a president even governor without godfather, lets give Jonathan a chance, after all, it is wise to always settle for a smaller evil. The antecedents of all other aspirants seem scaring and I believe a leopard will never change its paws.

The article on this link will make an interesting reading, never mind its length.

Obj is not the best - he is not better than Buhari or Murtala
How much was available to each president and what did he do?
Obj has ruled the longest - 11.5years
What did he do about Niger Delta?

Obj came in a pauper - much was expected because of his prison experience
What happened - he has become very rich (remember the 200m shares in transcorp) and autocratic
Do you remember the Anambra debacle - he sponsored the violence designed to pave the way for declaration of state of emergency
Bola Ige, Marshall Harry, Dikibo etc,  Odi and Zaki Biam too  happened on his watch - what happened?

but did anything come out of the court case? and when the case supposedly collapsed due to "insufficient evidence" how come Jonathan and his wife didnt seek to clear their names of such spurious and supposely malicious allegations by suing the EFCC? - these people think we all reason like Beaf and co.

I honestly beleive that crucial witnesses have either been intimidated, threatened or paid off.

Your article states the following:

By the way the Council on Foreign Relations is a powerful american organisation that is made up of some of the wealthiest political and business figures in america, these people actually control the american govt, they also exert a great deal of control over client states ie countries who implement economic policies which are favourable to their business interests - nigeria is one of such countries, If they said that  Patience Jonathan was  one of the greediest persons in Bayelsa at the time, I would be inclined to beleive them.
Why would they make such a statement if they did not have aanything to back it up with?
I hope you don't think I am a supporter of Johnathan

We need to be analytical about this. The question is whether or not its a possibility.

Prophecies, whether or not they are genuine, should make us more cautious.

I think Jonathan's close aides should take note of this because I keep wondering how much work it will take to bring down a plane. An RPG can do that and you dont wanna know how many of those are in private hands.

I pray it wont happen in Jesus name. Amen
There are more privately-owned RPGs in the Niger Delta than any other place!

One do dot have to undermine this prophesy. By common sense, we know that the north can do anything possible to prevent Jonathan from occupying the presidential seat. They won't mind importing a suicide bomber from afganistan to hijack the presidential jet and kill Goodluck. I think Christians should pray for Goodluck Jonathan. Also, the good muslims should pray for him too.
What should bad christians do?
Do you recall that some people (particularly in PH) were rejoicing the day Yaradua died?

You have obviously been caught up in the euphoria of worshipping at the alter of Jonathan but very soon like a drunken man recovering from a 24 hour binge the morning after, you will discover that you did and said a few things you wished that you hadnt the night before.  HOw many times are these people going to keep on bamboozling you?

Don't you think it rather strange that Jonathan did not take legal action against the EFCC for allegedly smearing his name with the allegation that his wife was involved in laundering huge sums of money from the state coffers.  Why would Jonathan tolerate such an act of character assassination against his supposed unblemished record without seeking to punish ribadu and the EFCC?

I just don't understand how adults can reason like this, Ribadu did  a deal with Jonathan and the deal was:  I will drop the charges against your wife and even go as far as denying that these allegations were even true in the first place - come on bro  - this is nigeria we are talking about, these things go on in the west, talk less of nigeria where anything is possible.  Ribadu was probably paid off by Jonathan and allowed to come back to nigeria to restart his political career. You guys are about to be taken for a very big ride.

Jonathan is where he is today because he was selected by the powers that be  - he did not earn it, neither is he the people's choice.  he is just another opportunist.

Your beloved Jonathan can not go to the toilet without okaying it with the US govt first, he takes his instructions from Shell BP , Chevron, Exxon Mobil and finally his cabinet - in that order - he is a powerless puppet.  I actually had more respect for Yaradua because he actually made unilateral decisions which did not favour the west's economic agenda hence his early demise from the political scene.  In time we shall all find out why Yaradua really did die and why, as I said to Beaf the problem with us is blind sycophancy - that is what is killing us, and until we learn to think in a critical manner we will continue recycling these worthless bandits.
On Patience - the case was actually charged to court

Ghana is still CONSIDERING having full body scanners at its airports
Ghana - 24 million people, GDP of less than $20b, where Farouk AbdulMuttallab spent 1 - 2 weeks before making his trip
(Nigerian figures are 150m and $200m respectively and Farouk spent only a few hours in Nigeria)
Now we have 3D full body scanners and as expected it is being used for x-rated shows at our airport

abeg who says jonathan cannot be compared to obama? make i hear word jorey, jonathan's speech made me cry harder than obama's ever did, the man is pure genius and what we need in nigeria today with respect to leadership are people with intellectual minds. from his speech on facebook to the one at eagles square i was in awe to his deep intellect, without tring to run down anybody jonathan is the best presidential candidate we have ever had in nigeria and he is going to WIN.
Genius = a person having an extraordinarily high intelligence rating on a psychological test, as an iq above 140
= an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work
I don't recall his achievements as a lecturer (where performance, contributions can be easily seen) that justifies this genius attribution

In awe of deep intellect? - because of a prepared speech
Okay have this - this is Dr Johnthan explaining why he could not declare his intention sometime ago

"Immediately I declare now that I am contesting, it becomes a signal to all the governors and those who are in position to contest would also start to declare. Immediately all these begin, government functions will suffer

"If I say I am not, the story will be different. Some people would begin to feel one kind "

Let us not judge by hardship and talk

Robert Mugabe
Mugabe was a political prisoner in Rhodesia for more than 10 years between 1964 to 1974. Upon release with Edgar Tekere, Mugabe left Rhodesia in 1975 to re-join the Zimbabwe Liberation Struggle (Rhodesian Bush War) from bases in Mozambique.
At the end of the war in 1979, Mugabe emerged as a hero in the minds of many Africans. He won the general elections of 1980

Jomo Kenyatta
An orphan, Kenyatta paid his school fees by working as a houseboy and cook for a white settler.

Kenyatta was sentenced in 1953 to seven years imprisonment with hard labor and indefinite restriction. The subsequent appeal was refused by the British Privy Council in 1954. Kenyatta remained in prison until 1959, after which he was detained in Lodwar, a remote part of Kenya.

He ruled Kenya from 1964 until his death in 1978
He harrassed his opponents, detained them, and was suspected of arranging the muder of some promient ones. turned kenya into a one-party state.

Kenneth Kaunda

He was also part of Zambia's independence struggle and was jailed twice
He became prime minister in 1964 and ruled till 1991. He turned the country into a one-party state and harrased his opponents. He declared a state of emergency in a part of Zambia in 1964 and same was not repealed until he left office in 1991

Preferring Nwodo to Ogbulafor (of the ID card scam)  is not saintly
Having a wife charged to court for $16.5m is not saintly
Being reluctant to sack Iwu is not saintly
Telling us that Yaradua was the one who put 3 planes in the budget and it is not for his use is not saintly
he could have removed it from the budget and his plane having a problem in Ugadan means he will use it
What did have to hide about his assets
N16b for one day celebration while reserves are being drawn down and over 70m Nigerians live on less than N150 daily is unsaintly

Fashola- or Shekarau - the one that comes to mind readily would not do that

@truly, I don't recall you debunking anything. You just made lots of statements which really had little connection to the argument at hand.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Just like me, you can find out for yourself if you are that interested. However, if his tenure as governor is what stops you coming over as a supporter, then you've got to tell us what it was that troubled you when he was governor of Bayelsa. Its so simple!
This is waht you said
Beaf:

You say that because Nigerians are used to being kicked around and treated like dirt by their rulers (not I said "rulers"wink. When we get a smart dude who is a gentleman, we call him "mumu."
Here is a guy whose motorcade was wilfully blocked by some dude in Abuja. You know what, that fellow was taken to court as would obtain in any civilised country; in the past, he would have been beaten to death on the spot and his family would never have seen his smashed body.
Jonathan is a very welcome breath of fresh air. We can see the way he takes decisions, with perfect timing and wisdom.

If I was to ask your reason for calling him a mumu, I am sure there will be nothing concrete.
I just said it is inherited - the practice comes from the immediate past - his predecessor

From Johnathan's speech
"I set the stage for free and fair elections by constituting an electoral commission comprising of Nigerians with impeccable credentials for firmness and incorruptibility"

Fact - he did not want to relieve Iwu of his job

Beaf - truth is sacred - there is no point ascribing to you what did you not say
If I offend you in error - I am ready to apologise
and I don't do abuses and insults

But it would be refreshing if you could admit the truth of some things we are saying

I did not wat to comment on this - but you have been repeating it
It is candidates - and GEJ - di that today who tell people what they have done
Rather than electorates being challenged to identify what they have not done

This is a bit like clutching at straws, because nothing above is even remotely important. The only things we remember are that GEJ has put an upright man as head of INEC and took a man who obstructed him to court, rather let his korofo's do physical justice to the man as would have been done in the past. If Yar Adua (RIP) introduced the rule of law philosophy, fine. The fact is that Jonathan practices it.
When Johnathan is telling us bared-faced lies, it is at the heart of the matter
when we debunk it, it is far from important
Actually in the law court, whatver is aserted by a witness can be targeted at cross examination

What is important is that his mind is not in the matter
He is not committed to it because he does nt believe in it
There is a bo.oby trap in the process - a lot of people will not be registered to vote anyway

Why would he not practice the rule of law he cannot because simply revertin back to thuggery without drawing undue attention to his dark side
and that action can be used as propaganda (without crediting it to Yaradua) as you have done severally

Iwu must go, says US official
http://thenationonlineng.net/web2/articles/42159/1/Iwu-must-go-says-US-official/Page1.html

This is the US adding pressure
So GEJ did not really believe in a truly independent INEC

Extract of the story on asset declaration
http://nm.onlinenigeria.com/templates/?a=10408&z=17

Vice President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday buckled to pressure and made public the assets he declared to the Code of Conduct Bureau on May 30, 2007.

Describing the vice president as a firm believer in the rule of law, Niboro said the earlier position on the issue of public declaration of his assets was guided by the fact that he (Jonathan) had had to declare his assets seven times.

He said: "There is no question that the issue of the publication of the vice president’s assets declaration has been the source of vigorous debate in the mass media in the past week or so
. There have been strong opinions on both sides of this emerging, if unnecessary, divide.

"The vice president is a firm believer in the rule of law and this has guided his conduct in public office through the years. It is this belief that also guided his position that having fulfilled the requirements of the law, by declaring his assets for a total of seven times, there was no point in going further to publish the declaration.

"This position has generated an unfortunate storm, which is not only distractive but also quite unnecessary. We are worried that some newspapers and citizens we hold in high esteem have joined the fray.

"This merely shows that in the affairs of man, there comes a time when even the law must take a second place, and the public mood must define our actions. To the vice president, this is such a time, hence the choice to send you a copy of his declaration for publication. There is nothing to hide, as you can very well see."

The man who made it possible for people to be taken to court, rather than killed on the spot, is called Yaradua
He introduced DUE PROCESS
Oh, Yaradua was the one that caused Johnathan to declare his assets publicly
I remember when the press asked Johnathan about the matter, he started by saying - I have declared my assets several time
The press did not relent and he had to make it public
Of course, most it was in the name of the number 3 in the cabinet - Patience (check the official website nigeria.gov.ng)

He is claiming that he gave us a respectable INEC - half truth
When he gave his interview to CNN, he said that Iwu was not the problem and that he had conducted 2 elections with Iwu
He only got rid of Iwu when the US continued to insist that Iwu had lost credibility

Looks like for this project every LIE helps

Now he has set us up so that we cannot mark his achievements to any promises
Some people will of course tell you it is strategic, visionary etc - but can you enter into a deal without any objective?

I am just worried that he is positioned to use the typical state power to force his way in
After that, we are on our own. Just look at how
he replaced a small crook (Ogbulafor) with a bigger one (Nwodo of the ID card scam)
PDP suddenly decided to shift their NEC meeting to the time IBB is declaring

OAM4J:

OK.

We dont need empty promises, but we definitely still need to have his manifesto. So we'll be able to judge his performance at the end of the day in case he wins.
Simple hedging his bets
without promises, there is no way to hold him to anything - afterall when there is no law, there cannot be any crime
Now he is free to act as the spirit directs - I wonder which country is run this way

This is 100% MetalDung!
There is no crowd, we've got folks on the scene. Not a single PDP top shot turned up. cry cry cry cry cry cry
Simple because PDP suddenly decided that their NEC must hold at the same time and date!
That is GEJ's doing obviously
I wonder how he (GEJ) will treat opposition candidates

I do not want to win your affections by giving you promises of things I would do in the future which others before me have given and which have largely been unfulfilled. Rather, I would want you to judge me by my records.

My team and I made no promises on adequate fuel supply in Nigeria. We simply did what was expected of those who govern, we delivered it, and you are living witnesses to that. We made no promise to revamp the textile industry. We delivered a bailout package worth 150 billion naira that is being dispensed as I write. We made no promises of securing the highest U.S Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) aviation clearance, the Category 1 Certificate which enables Nigerian registered airlines to fly to ANY U.S city. We delivered. We made no promise to give Nigeria a brand new INEC under a proven God-fearing and incorruptible leader. We made no promises of protecting your loans, deposits and investments in the banking industry over and beyond what is covered under the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Scheme. We delivered it via AMCON. Rather than tell you what we could do to improve power, this administration demonstrated it by initiating a brand new national Super Grid as well as launching a concrete Road Map to the Power Sector with realistic goals tied to realistic dates. I understand from some of your mails that there has been some small improvements in electricity supply in some communities. We met an economy that was beginning to slow due to the global recession. Today, the economy has verifiably grown by 7% this half year ending in June.
I know you are tired of empty promises, so I will make only one promise to you today. The only promise I make to you my friends, fellow citizens and Nigeria, is to promise LESS and deliver MORE if I am elected.
I will by the special grace of God be making a formal declaration to this effect at the Eagle’s Square, Abuja, on Saturday 18 September 2010.
I guess this guy likes facebook so much. Somebody should tell him that we need him on nairaland

Can somebody help me to debunk these lies/halftruths
We are in trouble - integrity is a scarce commodity!
