You people use the same diversionary method to escape when you have no defence.

The thread is about Mohammed being the Comforter or not and you jumped to another topic. Intelligent readers know you are shying away from the truth.

Answer my questions first to defend your claim or better call your master, Sweetnecta to answer relevantly and open a thread on your new topic.

You have left some important questions unanswered. I repeat:

Why are you muslims using the Bible you alleged is corrupted to legitimise the prophethood of Mohammed by calling him the Comforter?

Do you now need to legitimise his prophethood looking for evidence and find none and your last resort is the Bible?

Do you now believe the Bible as you take evidence from it?

Did your quran or hadith say Mohammed was the promised Comforter?

Did Gabriel forget to tell you muslims that Mohammed is your comforter?

Instead of showing God's power as a prophet, was he not messing himself around with a little girl, sleeping with slaves (women) and taking another man's wife? Are these not evidences of a false prophet? The comforter indeed.

Why do you people refer to the Bible as you say it is corrupted. Why do you want to use the same Bible to legitimise the prophethood of Muhammed wrongly by saying he was the Holy Ghost. You can see yourself.

Because there was no prophecy about his coming which make people believe he was a false prophet, you want to draw an evidence from what you say is corrupted. Or what is your need trying to establish him as the Holy Ghost if not for legitimacy.

By the way, did Mohammed tell you he is the Holy Ghost? He was a Ghost ? Is it in quran or hadith? Why are you calling him what is not. If he was the Holy Ghost, what is Gabriel/Allah? Holy Man?

I omitted the issue of Mohammed's take-over of Zaid's wife in the candid opinion I expressed on this thread.

I wish to state that it was morally bad for Mohammed to do such a thing. It was also an injustice to Zaid. How would he feel seeing his wife with his master? This was why Mohammed abolished children adoption for Zaid to go away from the house.

When David took the wife of Uriah, God was not pleased with him (2 Samuel Chapter 11 & 12). Therefore the same God could not have commanded Mohammed to do the same thing.

Why would Allah command Mohammed who had many wives to take the only one belonging to Zaid? What is Allah's interest in it? Mohammed was first afraid because he and the people knew it was moraly wrong to do such a thing. But Allah forced him. Why? This shows the type of Being this Allah is.

Jesus said it is wrong to divorce a woman except for fornication and whoever maries a divorced woman commits adultery (Mathiew 19:9).

A holy prophet is required to be transparently holy.

Mohammed was born about 650 years after the above statement. How was he (if a Comforter) a promise to Jesus disciples who had died before his birth?

John 15:17 - Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you.

Questions:

Even the Spirit of truth who the world seeth not neither knoweth him. Did people not see Mohammed? Did people not know him? This shows the Comforter is a Spirit that cannot be seen with physical eyes.

John 15:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Questions:

But the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost. Do you refer to a human being as Holy Ghost? Do you call a man Ghost?

.....''but the Comforter who the Father will send in my name''. Is Allah a father as he has no children? Allah is another deity, not the ''Father'' who Jesus said was to send the Comforter.

......''he (Comforter) shall teach you all things and bring all things to your REMEMBRANCE, whatever I have said unto you''. The question here is 'what were the things Jesus said?' What did he tell us about revenge, love, peace, marriage, sonship of God, the description of heaven etc. Did Mohammed come to bring the same teachings to our REMEMBRANCE? Instead he brought a totaly different message. How is Mohammed message a REMEMBRANCE of the word of Jesus on revenge, marriage, love, peace, sonship of God, heaven etc?

Mohammed came killing, maiming and holding people as captives, is this the rememberance of the word of Jesus who said we should not slap talkless of killing?

You muslims are only trying to legitimise the prophethood of Mohammed and it has failed.

This is my candid opinion about the thread. I believe exchange of opinions should not cause hate as civilized people. There are many foreign websites where this type of religious debate is on-going but they take it with maturity.

You said a slave woman could have se.xual desire like a free woman. This is very true but if there was that sympathy for them, why not free them? The fact that they are slave does not mean having se.x with them is not a sin. What do you call fornication and adultery? It is se.xual relationship outside marriage.

I believe br.east-feeding a grown man is not ideal because it cannot turn an adopted son into a real son biologically or spiritually. Such practice is meant for se.xual pleasure.

A man of God is not expected to be too much interested in se.x. It reduces a man's spirituality and that is why when doing any spiritual excercise (like fasting), God people abstain from se.x.

It may be strange to you that excessive se.xual urge is demonic. God knew one woman is enough for a man and that was why He created only Eve for Adam. If there was any man who needed many wives it was Adam because he was the only person on earth and God wanted him to reproduce and fill the earth. You will agree with me that God has the ability to create many wives for Adam but He did not. This is why Jesus approved of only one wife.

If a man cannot be satisfied with one woman like Adam, something is wrong. Afterall Jesus had none.

To God, sin is not only worshiping idol and disbelief in His existence. God hates se.xual sin as much as idolatery. God said ''be ye holy for I am holy''.

You do not understand the concept of Jesus death for sin. What it means is that it makes forgiveness available for anybody who asks for it in Jesus name. Forgiveness is not automatic, you have to ask for it.

Why do you people always use diversionary method all the time. In my initial thread did you see the Bible or Jesus in it? Can't you get your defence without making reference to the Bible? That shows the Quran cannot exist without the Bible.

My questions came before yours and first thing first. You know as well all other readers of the thread that there is no way you can correctly answer those questions without arriving at my conclussions. So your only way of escape is to avoid them. Every reader now knows you are running away from the truth.

We are saying what we are saying because of those who are faithful to God but ignorantly following your religion.

Perhaps there are still more people who can answer the questions as you are a run-away.

There is a lot of difference between the death of Jesus and that of Mohammed.

Jesus was not poisoned. He surrendered Himself to death because that was what he came to do. He was talking about His death before it came.

He told His disciples that Judas would betray Him even before he did. He could not have eaten poison without knowing.

As for asking the cup to pass over him, He was considering the severeness of the type of death to pass thru. Mind you He said that even before He was sentenced to death, meaning He saw it before it came. Even the Quran admitted the prophethood of Jesus in all the sense of it.

As for crying to God on the cross, He was passing thru a serious pain because of the nature of the death but God did not listen because He was carrying the sins of the world. The Bible says God's eyes cannot behold sins. But note that God never attempted to rescue Him and failed unlike the case of Allah and Mohammed.

If Mohammed had called on Jesus for healing, he would not have died. He raises the dead, He heals the sick. What Mohammed's Allah could not do, Jesus would have done it. There are records to prove this.

You said it is Allah that decree death in islam. Let me ask you these questions and be kind enough to answer them one by one:

1. Who decreed Mohammed's death?

2. If it was Allah, why did Gabriel pray for him?

3.Was Gabriel not aware of Allah's death decree on Mohammed before praying for him?

4. Was Gabriel acting against the will of Allah by wanting to rescue Mohammed from Allah's death decree by praying for him?

If these questions are correctly and honestly answered, every reasonable person will know that Mohammed's death was Allah's decree. But until then his death will continue to be seen as Allah's inability to save him which cannot be said of the true Omnipotent God.

In your post please address the issue of Mohammed's death to avoid muddling facts and open another post for Jesus where you can say anything you feel about him. I will surely respond.

There are many knowledgeable muslims I read their posts on nairaland, intelligent posts. I believe they do their homework before they say anything. Don't you discover you are left alone by others? Anyway the summary of your weak defence is that Muhammad needed not to ask any question because he held the truth. May I ask you, who gave him the truth? If it was Allah, why did He still ask him to confirm the truth? Suppose Gabriel gave a wrong message to him as only God is infallible. Was Satan not once an angel but later departed?

Since Mohammed knew that the revelations he received was contrary to what had been in the Scriptures before him and he was given the opportunity to ask questions, why did he not ask?

Ordinarily a man is expected to be curious especially when he hears conflicting messages and moreso given opportunity to confirm.

Your quran did not specify how long it will take to pass thru it, how long can you afford to be in hellfire? Quran says some will be left while some will be rescued.

For some to be rescued from hell and some left there, it means you will all be in it first for an undisclosed period of time. Congratulations.

You believe what the Bible says about Jesus calling his mother 'woman'. The same Bible says Jesus is the Son of God, do you believe it? The same Bible says Jesus is the only way to God, do you believe it? The same Bible says Jesus is coming again to take us to Himself, do you believe it?

Keep following a prophet who his angel (Gabriel) said his fate and that of his followers is unknown. Keep following a religion that the faithful will pass through hell before some will be rescued, then you will know what staying in hell for a moment means.

There is nothing like that in Mathiew 15:21. Your quotation is wrong.

But if you are refering to Jesus watching the legs of the disciple, it is only a sign of humility and respect for one another. A servant is not greater than his master and that was why Peter first refused. Then it was not everybody washing his own legs as in islam, no washing of hands and nose and it was not done preparatory to prayer.

Did Jesus instruct us to face a particular direction when praying or did he tell us to make any object of worship like the people of the OT did? Only Jesus is our standard. He is the author and finisher of our faith.

You said the Jews are facing a particular direction till date. Is there no difference between Christianity and Judaism? Are all Jews christians? Are we supposed to reverse to the period of imperfection?

Thanks for ur matured manner of presentation. I do appreciate it. But I want to state that those places you quoted in the Bible were personal inventions of the individuals concerned.

The practices were never copied by anyone thereafter neither were they made as parts of worship to God. That they did those things does not mean it was right and that was why nobody copied them. If there is anyone copying them or making any object of worship, such a person is not a follower of Jesus. We are not so taught by Jesus Christ.

A number of things were done wrongly in the Old Testament and that was why Jesus came for perfection. If everything was right Jesus would not have come. Those things include: marriage, revenge, love, gentleness, peacefulness etc.

But how do you feel about this - things were done wrongly for many generations and somebody who is universally accepted as faultless (Qur'an, Pickthall 19:19) came to correct the wrongs. So many years after another person came again to change the faultless arrangement on those vital areas of life i.e marriage, revenge, love, gentleness etc.

If the people actually deviated from or corrupted what the faultless man put on ground, it is the people that changed the arrangement or standard should not change because it is faultless.

Apart from the faultess arrangement, the faultless man also claimed that nobody can get to God but through him alone (John 14:6). I believe if he is truely faultless , his words should be trustworthy and taken seriously.

We have only one and just one life to live and we are our brothers' keepers.

By their fruits we shall know them. The Devil does not tolerate abuses and insults. The only language the devil understands is VIOLENCE.
