They say that works don't matter because works don't earn you salvation but the truth is that salvation as a gift strengthens you to earn good works whether you like it or not, you can't escape it (bearing good fruits) if you are truly saved.

one can be in a bad place doing something bad but doing everything righteously which means his/her fruits despite being an/a armed robber/prostitute is good. such a person is taking the righteousness/light of God deep into unrighteousness/darkness and with time that light begins to shine brighter and darkness begins to shear off. You know, I have always said this; anyone who has truly experienced Christ will find himself/herself transforming AUTOMATICALLY unto the likeness of Christ as time goes by, it is not by our doing but by the power of the holy spirit of Christ that lives in such a person, he breaks you slowly without you even knowing, you wake up one morning and find yourself becoming like Christ (maybe one would never here on earth cease to face trials and temptations and even fall from time to time but you find that one keeps on improving day by day, moment by moment).

Paul in romans implies that to be born of the spirit of God we became slaves to righteousness just as we were slaves to sin, which means that without much struggle we by the power of the spirit birth begin to transform unto the likeness of Christ. well I may not argue if you say "once save by grace through faith, forever saved", but tell me, a man that dies with the pain, guilt, fear and anger (painful memory/soul)of knowing his sins are an outright conscious disobedient of the commands of his saviour. what peace of memory could he have after physical death?

For there's not much difference, and someone that finds no fault in that fall and die prayer would easily pray this prayer, but the reason I wouldn't is because such fall and die prayers are both contrary to the purpose for which Jesus came, which was to save men's lives and not to destroy them.

So if I say I would not say amen to such prayer which condemns others or is inclined to their being destroyed, how could that possibly be condemning others?
