AOR dec 2020, still waiting for PPR

Yes that is life. Nothing is straight. I applied directly to the FSW program. I spent 4 months after AOR convincing my guy to write IELTS after I had submitted my application. He eventually did, got nominated by ontario, completed the nomination process and got ITA in Q4 last year and got PPR in january 2022 while I was still waiting. I eventually got mine in February 2022. The guy we use to reach out to applied 8 months before me and is still waiting.
Some other people who I started this journey with moved to rwanda/kenya on temporary work permits and abandoned the program insisting that all applications will be cancelled.

Saying this to encourage you not to be deterred by the slight delay. Everyone will eventually get it at the right time.

days/a week/ a month...Once hospital uploads, it's now left to your VO to pass it. The swiftness of this depends on the persons workload and other factors.

mine took one day from upload to pass. An 5 hours from medical pass to passport request letter.

Listen here you,if you people were smart you'd organise all your educated people around the globe,form a union or party that will push your government to prioritise the basic needs of it's citizens instead of blaming and insulting every country that rejects your parasitic nature . You could use that group to push Buhari to put more money in your education sector and push for more capable people to be in charge of reforming the sector and others. Let me remind you Putin fans, when USA and Russia shared Germany, western Germany under US was so prosperous that eastern Germans were running every day from the east to the west not minding being shot at by communist government. Show me one country that Russia has been with and they became very rich and economically viable. People are attracted to money and success.

I waited to get my application processed for so long but now that I've received PPR i've suddenly become lazy to even go take a passport picture ahead of passport submission. All those patiently waiting be rest assured your application will be processed. The IRCC officials are working at a fast pace especially at the RROC centre.

How long does it take to get your passport back after shipping to VFS lekki (for PR applicants)?

Yes. It is written as part of their request. They are quite strict on POF. You are expected to maintain it for at least 90days before applying. You might be lucky that the Visa officer reviewing your file might not really bother because they are seriously looking for people to settle in the province.

This process is another test of one's financial discipline. I heard of someone who spent his POF within 3 months. On a whatsapp group I belong to some people were asked to submit a 6 months bank statement one year after they had submitted the application but unfortunately the money is gone

I went with two based on what is written on the instructions but one was returned to me. I'd suggest you take two

For those who have gone for their interview waiver appointment. What document did you take along/ what document did they ask for

Gtbank receipt, DS160 confirmation page, 2 passport size photos and ordinary passport ( i took my expired passport as well because it had the expired visa in it). The security men at the embassy will only look at the documents and collect your passport + passport size photo. Passport was returned in 7 days

You and only you can make this decision. My opinion is that 1.5M a month can do a lot more for you in Nigeria than #4000 will do for you in a city like London. Outside london you can do more. I find life in the UK a bit monotonous and expensive but since tech offers opportunity for mobility I suggest you go for it and move on when another opportunity presents itself.

I dont know if its a crime I just have limited knowledge of how it works. In 2016 my UK visa was issued in sheffield while I applied in Lagos. I dont know if the physical passport was shipped to sheffield or it remained in Lagos

So you mean you are not in Nigeria and you sent your international passport for U.S to place a visa on? Unbelievable.
This is one of the reasons they stopped DHL from receiving documents and want the Nigeria staff at the consulate to do the initial processing. Because of people like you they will soon insist that no one should submit any passport for another.
Just pray they don’t detect your absence from Nigeria.

I was trying to be civil because I didnt know the laws regarding proxy application and cross border movement of passport document without the authorized holder but all I will say now is that Nigerians are not good people. They go to any length to satisfy their individual agenda. It was also because of the attitude of some nigerians that dropbox was suspended. This is even a pilot project . At the end they'll make a decision on whether they want to continue with dropbox program or not

Let me share my experience at the consulate this afternoon while i took my son for his scheduled fingerprint collection. I witnessed the interviews of over 15 applicants...all of them were not new travellers. As at when i left, only 3 of them were granted, one elderly couple was put on AP; the others were refused....frequent travelers o
They queried those of them that stayed for over one month in the US on a trip (you can't lie anyway, as i94 portal will expose you). The questions ranged from: why did you stay that long? What were you doing to survive/sustain yourself in the US? How much did you spend if you stayed in a hotel? What do you do in Nigeria that allowed you to be away for that long? How were you moving around? etc...
The couple that was put on AP have a registered business in the US and mentioned that they need to travel to check their business as its Business Manager died last year (the yeye Consular Officer even empathized with them o...yet still didn't approve their application)...

For people intending to go for vacation and are preparing for an interview, please be prepared for likely questions. May we all find favour...

Put yourself in the consular officer's shoes. The average nigerian is not sincere and believes in breaking rules all in the name of hustle. Their attitude makes it difficult for even genuine visitors to scale through. Where I work to get one month vacation at a stretch can be tough except one agrees to work remotely after the third week. In most US companies you don't get one month vacation annually. How does an applicant who claims to have a job then spend 4 months in USA on vacation. Assuming you claimed you'll stay in a hotel on your DS160 the last time it means you spent 4 months in a hotel in USA (difficult to believe).

Its even worse for SME owners. How do you justify leaving your business for 4 months. The assumption is that these people were working in USA during there 4 months stay.

This could be one of the reasons they refused the application believing that you had stronger ties to Qatar. Also I dont know if its allowed to travel with another person's passport.

Greenafrica follows a deliberate policy.
1. Keep ticket prices lower than the rest. Their prices can be up to 30% cheaper than Airpeace.
2. Fly at reduced speed = save money on fuel & therefore cost.
3. Use a rugged, cheaper plane with very good safety reputation.

I suspect they're gaining market share.

When I first started flying with them on a particular route, the planes were usually no more than 25% full. Most travellers still preferred Airpeace. Now they are carrying more passengers on that route than Airpeace.

Fact is, people are cost conscious. Most people on that route prefer to pay N20k to N22k on Greenafrica than N32 - N35k on Airpeace, even if Airpeace will arrive at the destination 25 mins faster.

Greenafrica is winning on that particular route.

I believe you are referring to akure route and airpeace is making money on that route because they also use a small aircraft (ERJ145) on that route and charge much higher prices per seat than green africa. Green africa ATR72-600 can take up to 70 paxs. Air peace ERJ145 takes 50 paxs but they only need about 30 paxs out of 50 to make a profit.

What i am saying in essence, is that, if they didn't reduce their rates, they would be swallowed by the like of Dana, Airpeace, Arik etc. Their planes are so small and inconvenient that apart from the cheap fare, there is virtually nothing that would attract customers to patronise them. My take.

If you buy the ticket option with 20kg check-in luggage allowance on green africa you'd pay about 50,000. But after flying on arik's 737-700/800 or air peace A320 or E195 I will not pay 50k to fly on green africa or other airlines using older equipment. The airline operators should know their position of strength. Seating down on the table with ibom air and arik and airpeace to agree on a price fixing regime may be counter productive as it will favor the big players

Avaition is a difficult business. With this base fare airlines like arik, ibom air and airpeace are better placed to benefit from this . United nigeria CEO has already signalled a partnership deal with airpeace coming up in the next few days. If that partnership is successful they'd dominate the eastern Nigeria route. United Nigeria is planning to acquire more aircrafts while airpeace has been receiving a new aircraft every three months since January 2021. Interesting times ahead
