Guy...U dont evem know the full details....and you are paying.....?? I no like make guy no dey sharp
Same thing I'm thinking. I so don't like ignorance. He doesnt sound like he knows the class of visa she went on but I suspect she was fraudulently paired with a study visa applicant as a dependent. From what I know in USA and Canada a temporary visa (study, visit, work visa) still denies you access to a lot of things. Most employers prefer candidates with a permanent stay visa or who are citizens. The banks offer better facilities and higher credit limits to people on permanent stay. So many other things thus the natural bias of almost every temporary worker or student in these countries is to hustle for permanent residency thus you need to pay attention to her interest levels in you as time progresses.

When I was leaving one of the FUGAZ banks where I worked as a software engineer for a job of $130,000 in North America a CIO was telling me the taxes will eat up everything and I shouldn't be deceived by what is on paper. I'm glad I ignored him and moved on. The working conditions, knowledge bank, civility and pay by far exceeds what we got from these high profit banks in Nigeria. Looking back almost all my ex-colleagues have left to work as software engineers in germany, uk, canada, usa , kenya and UAE. Still praying for the other ones left to find something and move away from these career killers

Lol. Thank God the Uk is not Nigeria, where they twist facts and make you wonder if you are sane.

No be this country, we see video of soldiers shooting at armless youths, them say na lie, say nothing like that happen. Wetin we see, wetin some of us experience, yet, they said it was a lie..

So I’m not surprised.
Your version is not true. The pictures of the boy’s U.K. visa are all over the internet. Visa sticker clearly states that the boy travelled on medical ground. Ekweremadu also wrote a letter to the British high commission informing them that the boy was travelling as an organ donor. The boy had been in U.K. since January. I suspect the boy lied against the ekweremadu’s to secure asylum. Nigerians say anything to gain asylum in a first world country.
The heart of men can be so wicked that nobody is asking about the welfare of the daughter. Organ donation is not different from blood donation and is legally permitted .

Ekeremadu deceived a minor, carried him to the uk, when the doctor found out this boy is a minor, he refused to proceed with the operation. Interviewed the boy and after the innocent boy has said his truth, the doctor sent him home.

Only for ekeremadus wife to start maltreating and beating the boy leading to his escaping to the streets of Uk where he was picked by the police and questioned.

Why the twist and turn? Why the lies? Why are y’all so wicked and corrupt?

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by tshtsh: 12:10pm On Jun 16, 2022
Somethings happen in life and my takeaway from Canadian express entry program is to be proactive and quick. I knew about express entry in 2017/2018 but did nothing till the naira crashed to 500 in 2020. I wrote IELtS in November 2020 and got ITA on nov 18. I contemplated rejecting the ITA as I didn’t think I’ll be ready to submit an application in two months but someone on naira land asked me to accept it as the application submission time was now three months.
I submitted my application in February 2021 and received remedical request in February 2022. Passport request email came the same day my medicals was uploaded.
The process of submitting my passport looked tedious and I was a bit hesitant as the process involved posting my passport to accra but I summoned courage to do it before the 30 day deadline. I received my passport back on March 28 2022.
Looking at the exchange rate and the fear of losing my savings to rent and other expenses in Canada I began applying for jobs. Target was 10 applications a day. It was stressful as I had to stay up at nights to attend interviews and for some roles I had as many as four interviews via zoom/teams. Live coding and project based tasks but luckily got two job offers both offering over c$100,000k. Out of fear I negotiated to be allowed to resume after a month as opposed to the two weeks they requested. The fear of leaving Lagos , friends and family within just a short period of time. The four weeks came by so quickly and To be honest I was sad the day I was leaving (fear of unknown). I did not sell any item (car , electronics, furniture). I simply left as my rent runs till December and I knew I was going to start earning $$$ in 2 weeks . I simply applied for PTA and got $4,000.
A day after I landed I queued up for 5 hours to get the social insurance number which my employer had previously requested in one of the forms they sent to me. Resumed work in Toronto and settling in really well with a supportive boss and team members . I’m also very glad that I made this move .
From my observation cost of living in toronto is higher than Nigeria. Approved PR’s should consider getting a job before coming here. These days most candidates who get a remedical request have about 11-12 months to land. Consider using that time to get a job instead of just jumping on the aircraft. I’ve seen people sell all they’ve worked for in Nigeria and come here without an income then start spending proceeds from the sale of their assets. Continuity is more profitable than starting from the scratch especially if you’ve worked for more than a few years .

Waiting for the PR card to come through after which I’ll visit family in Nigeria sometime in October.

On the other hand the PR process is now much more competitive than it was 4 years ago . The Canadian government have a larger pool of candidates from many countries trying to come in. I encourage as many Nigerians and Africans I know to consider improving their scores and applying as the Asians are taking better advantage of the program than Nigerians are. A lot of Nigerians came here via the study route to escape but ended up being unable to afford their fees and have no immigration status. The power of planning should not be underrated.

Thanks to everyone who posted on this blog information that was beneficial to all prospective express entry applicants.

With due respect to the person of Okowa, I think Wike is the PDP's best bet if they're truly desirous of dethroning the APC.
Too many people in PDP dislike wike. In life having a good character will place you ahead of others. Wike has a bad character he insults people at will and talks anyhow. Most people around him are there because he control the rivers state funds. Take him out of government house and you’ll see an isolated individual. A good number of people left PDP because of him. He was funding the party and became the kingmaker. It was his bad character that made leaders of the party to gang up and support atiku despite the amount of money wike spent. In his south south zone Okowa and obaseki worked for Atiku in the primaries . Udom did not support wike. Likes of Donald duke are hungry are probably supported Wike in exchange of cash.

Wike bought his way through but they were two steps ahead of wike. They made wike to spend so much money while refusing to step down for one another till the end. Atiku also began talks with 5 govs from the south over the VP slot which made those govs abandon wike. Atiku has been involved in party primaries since 1993 and is much more experienced than wike in these things. Wike believed he could hijack the party at the federal level the way he did at the state level

Please stop being bitter. A lot of people are bitter like this but truth is you cant stop some people from being successful. It is just not possible. Instead you can learn from them.

When I started out as a youth corper in 2015 I got a software engineering job from an organization that really wanted to hire me but were constrained because I did not have the NYSC certificate. To get a hold of me they offered me a consultancy position from which I was making some good money. I was attending meetings with them at OEM offices, bank HQs and also designing/implementing some of their software products which they were selling to banks.

The funny thing was that I had a friend who was a civil servant and told me that I was now in Nigeria & advised me to forget all that software non-sense. That he can't even give out his daughter to any man that builds websites for a living. I tried to explain the difference between software applications and websites/webpages. He told me that any job outside the federal government is rubbish.

By my second month as a youth corper I had furnished my apartment fully. As a 23 year old with no responsibility I use to go to accra or abuja for some weekends from Lagos and also went on vacation to Barcelona during my service year. A lot of family members were questioning my source of income. Two weeks after completing NYSC the company I was consulting for made me an offer for a fulltime position & I paid down 3.5M for a car. I had been saving all through but wanted to be sure that they'll make me a fulltime offer before doing some things. Tongues were still all over the place. The friend that rubbished my profession was now also borrowing money from me. Family members were also gossiping all over the place.

I eventually left my first employer to one of his clients who poached me for some better pay/working condition. While working as a software engineer at my new place I went out of my way to learn new technologies that weren't even in use in Nigeria. With that I was able to land remote jobs after two years & as the naira got devalued my income improved because I was earning euros from a company in Malta and later Germany.

I got fed up with being in Nigeria and applied for the Canadian PR through express entry and was selected to apply for permanent residence. I eventually got the application approved, bought a Canadian number online and started applying for jobs from my home in Lagos. I was using the number I bought to communicate with employers. I got a software engineering job, accepted it and landed in Canada a few days before the job start date. Even in Canada some Nigerians I know were angry that I just landed and started working in my field four days after when they have been here for months without a job.

The bottom-line of this my short writing is that some people need to position themselves better and not accept anything they are told. I was told I have to teach in a school as a youth corper. I was also told by family members that most people that got jobs recently in the family were assisted by this particular uncle who was well connected & I should get close to him so he will help me. I was also told that I couldn't get a job paying me more than 20k during my service year. I was told I couldn't get a remote job in Europe as a Nigerian. I was told I wouldn't be able to get permanent residency in canada easily. I was told nobody will give me a job if I was outside canada. I was told so many things but I always felt I was greater than what people thought about me so it is not my fault that they are angry. They just lack the confidence and information at my disposal to take them out of the shell.

I encourage you to focus on your race and stop getting annoyed over another man's journey

While going through the appeal process she should also create a new express entry profile and ensure her language test is up to date. Draws will resume in August. I suspect the reference letter she submitted did not capture all the required information

Thank you for responding, it did. It has the letter head and the working hours. The duties also match the NOC but the rejection letter said the letter didn’t have enough duties for them to assess and match to the NOC and the compensation wasn’t indicated. I believe the issue is that the duties were not itemized clearly - it was a paragraph summarizing her role. She can work on getting a new letter, if we are able to get the application re opened for re consideration

Did the reference letter follow certain specification like.

1. Letter headed paper.
2. Working hours
3. NOC MATCH
Did your sister receive a procedural fairness letter prior to the rejection? I've read complaints from people regarding IRCC not responding to webforms

Lol....bark all you like, Green Africa Airlines is relatively new to the game and I wouldn't endorse or risk my life entering an airline just because it's owned by my tribesman. You guys can hide behind the cry of marginalization to hide and cover your fvckups but even your fvckups is getting global that foreigners are observing.
Opinions differ but airpeace is still a force in Nigeria and west african aviation. Go to GAT terminal at lagos airport between 6am and 7am you'll understand that without airpeace even FAAN, NCAA and the flying public will feel the impact. My only hope is that Allen Onyema will understand the relevance of his airline in the Nigerian aviation space & employ a professional management team to run their affairs.
Allen onyema currently occupies the position of both chairman and CEO which can be risky as the checks/balances needed to instill corporate governance is not there.

Regarding Josh's condemnation of the airline I believe he did a paid job. It is easy to find fault in any airline (including emirates) but his decision to report only the shortcomings and tag it the worse and most unsafe airline just makes me believe he was paid to do the job of rubbishing the airline.

I have flown green africa twice and I liked it. The first time the flight was delayed for 5 hours (10:20pm to 3:40 am from Port harcourt to Lagos). The second time we were on time. They have newer aircrafts

If you don’t raise a web form quickly, the next letter you may receive will be a misrepresentation letter alongside a 5 years ban. I can’t believe you didn’t deem it necessary to state that you were refused visa in any country when it’s stated in the forms to declare your visa refusals. I am really hoping and praying that they are yet to finalize the decision on your applications. 5 years ban is no joke! All the best.
It may be deliberate. On this same forum a lady claimed she applied for US B1/B2 visa as a married woman while she was indeed single and now applied for PR as a single lady. People have done all sort of things to get the US visa with some succeeding and some not succeeding

My Landing Gist

I got PPR on 1st of Feb and sent my passport through vfs lagos on 7th.  It took 2 months for my passport to return due to the whole Accra timelime plus my passport photo got misplaced in transit.

I had booked my flight shortly after PPR came because I thought passport will be stamped and returned in 6weeks , I had to reschedule the flight.

I booked a return ticket for 475k and later rescheduled for a fee of 44k

For those wondering why a return ticket I needed it to apply for PTA, upon return of my passport from Accra I applied for PTA and 3days to my flight 4k dollars was approved and disbursed to me at 419 per dollar. I will open my return flight and use it whenever I'm ready to visit Nigeria

I booked my flight with Ethiopia Airlines,  arrived airport by 10am on 22nd April, Nobody searched my luggage which was surprising. The immigration guys just wished me well. I went to the check in counter and did all the necessary things .

Flight was for 1:20pm but we left some minutes to 2pm. Flight to Addis Ababa was smooth, less than 2hrs layover then we proceeded to Dublin where we landed just to refuel and then final lap to Canada YYZ.

I didn't spend up to 1hr at YYZ from the point of disembarking to exit home.  Everything was straightforward and smooth, no queue at immigration,  got my luggage in time and my friend came to pick me . The ride home was less than 20mins and that was it.

Monday I went to service Canada for my SIN, opened my bank account and got my mobile number.

I'm grateful to God for the entire PR process which I started in Dec 2019 and for this new phase I have entered in Canada, grateful for the information and guidance on this platform. Special thanks to a member of this forum that assisted me when I needed to pay for my RPRF with a credit card.

I wish everyone still in this PR process all the best. May it end in Landing stories for us all.

Cheers.

Best of luck and hopefully you'll campaign against buying a ticket before receiving passport + COPR. It just places one under some kind of pressure

Hi all, pls I have a question.

Sometimes in 2018 I and my family had a Visa refusal to the US. We however have started this Canadian journey afterwards. In every forms and details we have filled and given, we did not include the Visa refusal because we just thought it wasn't necessary.

My question now is; is there a need to inform IRCC about the refusal and if we do at this point won't it be seen a misrepresentation?
Below is our timeline:

AOR Oct 3rd 2021
Schedule A request 8th March 2022
GU 25h April 2022(no visible change)
They'll most likely find out due to the Five eyes or Five Country Conference (FCC) forum they are both members of and share immigration information among each other (US, Uk, Canada, Australia, New Zealand). What's your reason for hiding it from them though ? I don't know if this falls under misrepresentation

Politics / Re: Why PDP May Lose 2023 Presidential Election – Reno Omokri by tshtsh: 10:33pm On Apr 24, 2022
ClintonEmex:
One thing that has kept Nigeria behind and unprogressive is tribalism and sentiments.

What Reno is indirectly saying here is that PDP should give Atiku the flag because he's from the North and not Peter Obi, cos the Northerners will prefer to vote for their own despite Obi being much better in every ramification.

But I think Buhari's regime should have opened many people's eyes to the truths and realities of things. What Nigeria has gone through in the hands of Buhari should have made virtually everyone to know that what matters is competence and true leadership.

Peter Obi is the best candidate so far from the PDP, he's someone with a track record of success. He's like a coach that has good record in his former team and will most likely replicate his performance in the next and bigger team.

In the PDP we have Obi and in the APC we have Osinbajo, these are men that will offer hope and brighter things to Nigeria. They're not power drunk or selfish, they're there to salvage the situation on ground unlike their older counterparts who just wants to rule for ruling sake. Anyone of them that takes the mantle of leadership will take Nigeria to a better and greater heights.

People should stop taking us backwards by talking about regions and tribes, we're past that stage of voting out of sentiments. Look for the best candidates and vote for them irrespective of tribe, color and religion. Make Nigeria a better place, we're bitterly far from our mates in the world due to bad leadership. Stop suffering others because of your selfish interest.
Peter obi cannot win the presidential election for pdp and that is the fact. Election is a mathematical game not an emotional one. Been seeing posts on Twitter and here regarding Peter obi emerging Pdp’s presidential candidate & I am yet to see how an opposition party will win a ruling party by zoning its ticket to a zone with lowest voting strength

I share a different opinion with you and I’m from rivers state. Governance in the 21st century has gone beyond constructing bridges and roads as well as schools. Those are just cosmetic activities that anyone with the kind of revenue rivers state gets can do. Youth unemployment rate is very high in rivers state as businesses continue to prefer operating out of Lagos. Education and healthcare seems to be way below standard. I have not heard of any major business player coming out of rivers state. The few who are rivers state indigenes were based else where and built their businesses elsewhere. This is a reflection of the state of rivers today. Wike cannot stand shoulder to shoulder with fashola , ambode or even sanwo-olu.
As an indigene of rivers state, Lagos was my entry point into nigeria and despite the day-to-day difficulties residents of Lagos encounter I benefited from the economic opportunities lagos offered right from my first month as a youth Corp member. These opportunities are not available in port harcourt today even 6 years after I completed nysc . This is just one example

If I’m to put in real terms my colleague was earning 18.5M per annum when he told me this. His rent was 1M per annum but he was bugged down with maintaining a full house where he had his in-laws living with him and was involved in multiple projects ( farm project , house building, loans …).

On the social side it was not abnormal to go out in VI & spend 250k a night with these colleagues and when I order a cocktail they tell me to stop behaving like a Brit . Secondly these loan companies always came around offering all kinds of packages at 2.5% to 3% interest rate per month and made it easy for people to buy used Mercedes & electronics while the naira was dwindling.
