Is this s technical economic approach ?
Make the country work and reduce demand for forex.
Nobody will tell when dollar will regulate itself.
Make the tertiary institutions work well, let hospitals be well equipped and funded, and increase local production.
With that, people will school here, medical tourism will be reduced, and reliance on imported goods will also minimise.
If demand for dollars is still on increase, no government can regulate it, with all foreign currency majorly in aboki hand in the black market.
In strategy, there is short-term, mid-term and long term

Most of the things you listed here are mid to long term. All the thing listed in the post are good short-term plans, if people have the confidence that their funds can be taken out easily, they will inject all the funds they are hoarding, also diasporans will be willing to bring their savings into Nigerian banks (dom account) and if thre are USD-Based investment instrumnts that are easily tradeable, diasporans can buy.....the more dollar we have in the system th better for the Naira, as scarcity is the main thing driving this surge....scarcity due to unwillingness to leave the funds here and direct hoarding buy bigtime speculators and careful mid-income earners

Bros no one would invest in our electricity unless we have a sizable amount willing and capable to pay it

Nigeria government is too poor to pay for it

Nigerian disco's are rejecting power as we speak they can't find enough people to constantly pay for 5000mw ...it's so bad they rely on government subsidy

Nah but you can't comprehend

Government should just give you electricity
Before this fuel increase, many households spend more for fuel monthly than they spend for phcn...that shows that the market exist and the right investments will yield fruit....that is how investors think. If they can produce enough to take over what the generator and fuel budget currently does for households, then it is fair game

The problem has never been electricity the problem has been poverty

If Nigerians are rich enough we would have 24 hours electricity

In fact 90% of Nigerians that can afford 24 hrs electricity enjoy near 24 hours electricity in Nigeria its that simple

Nigerians are too poor

Wealth creation through SMEs like Peter Obi suggested is the key thing
This is the problem with the trader's line of thought. it is like the guy who controls 5 shops in Alaba versus the one who is sitting on the board of a conglomerate, they cant think same way, one is tactical, the other is strategic

Electricity generation is never efficiently done by individuals, it is always at a high cost and environmentally unfriendly ways, even when green technology is used, it will still be at the expense of ambience and ease-of-deployment.

Every sane country focuses on bulk generation (either by private or public enterprises ) while distributing to households.

SMEs wont thrive the way they should, if they have to focus on generating their own power, cos they will be frontloading a cost they are meant to pay gradually. While heavy manufacturers will even have to spend more, thus increasing their cost of production and ultimately cost of goods/services provided by them.

With upfront investments by government/private corporations towards boosting bulk generation, and efficient transmission to SMEs, plus stability and reliability, more SMEs will spring up and existing ones will thrive, while the investing entities recoup their funds and mak profit over time

But it is difficult to see this when wearing a trader-lens and believing society runs on individuals solving their problems and trying to be a master-of-your shop without thinking holistically about how society should function

FamilyRe: Divorce: Family Denies Court Granted Custody Of Children To Prophet by tunjilana: 5:44pm On Oct 16, 2023
Guyman01:
You dey turn law upside down, there's a customary court for issues like this, they will look into customs and traditions in dealing with matters like this, the magistrate judge was being overly emotional in calling Igbo customs barbaric because they won't hand over kids born out of wedlock to their father.

Even the Adeleke family were informed that their late grandchild (God rest his beautiful soul) will not be buried as an Adeleke unless Davido pays his mother Chioma's bride price which was done.
Yorubas have their culture and tradition that protects the dignity of the woman and her family and Igbos respect that.

Also, in a case where the parents are not married and the man wants the child in Igbo land there are certain dues he will pay to the father of the girl and the 'Umunna' for them to relinquish their rights over the children which this Prophet has also not done.

Now, that the woman has officially married another man, her father has the right to grant custody of those children born out of wedlock to the new husband after hw performs certain traditional rights.

This is custom, no sentiments should be attached
Na you dey turn law upside down .... issues of parental right i.e. ownership of a child, can be properly handled by the family court wihich is part of every state high court in Nigeria, courts have hierarchy and a high court is more superior to a customary court or magistrate court.

The judge was not bn emotional, his pronouncements are in line with the dictates of the court he presides over which is a magistrate court.

And even if a customary court is approached, nothing says that only the custom of one partner should apply over their kids, the man too has his own customs which state that he is a father over every child he fathers, once proven , regardless of his status with the mother

In a logical world, customary courts should only handle cases wher both partners are adherents of the custom in which they want to use to settle the matter, it is similar to muslim taking a christian to a sharia court to decide issus whn they have one. Th idal thing for a rational individual in cases like this is to approach a higher court where a law which mutually binds them applis, which is th law of Nigeria and in thee Nigerian Law, no parent should b denied their right to any child thy hav once proven, as long as they dont pose any danger to the child. The marital status of the parents, regardless

Na the man fuckup, hee no gt business with any lower/customary court

He should have approached a high court and his complaint should have bn denial of paternal right. access, custody e.t.c. The family court wont be asking questions about bride price, na him and his lawyeer dabaru case by askig for dissolution of marriage that didnt even exist.

The Nigerian law doesnt join parental right with marriage, they are 2 different things and you dont have to marry anyone before you are given full parental right over a child you bear with them, as long as you are proven to bee the parent(if dispute exist, the court may ordr DNA)

To judge who is right or wrong in the Isreal/Palestine struggle, will be a function of when you start the history. This documentary started from the nineteenth century, but before then there was an Arab called Saladin who conquered Jerusalem and before him were romans, greeks e.t.c....Most of us will do same thing the jews are doing if we are in their shoes, the only difference is that many dont have their history well documented in books for thousands of years, they have it documented and have a clear picture of how the places their ancestors created became what it is today.

Are they right?....well we are in a different time when violent acquisition of land and re-conquest is forbidden

A workable political situation is still the best but does Hamas even want that?....starting history from 1917 and 1947 isnt helpful too, it doesnt show willingness to fix an age-long problem

Atiku's lawyer : The candidate submitted a forged certificate
Tinubu's Lawyer: It isnt forged, my client attended and graduated from the school, and the procedures of the school allows for third-party reproduction of genuinely acquired certificates after the first issuance, which is what my client presented
Judge: Summons INEC to confirm if they vetted the certificates and to understand their vetting process
INEC : either confirms that they vetted the certificate and feedback tally's with Tinubu's lawyer or the court orders them to write CSU to vet the certificate

If we are to go by the deposition, the feedback will always be what Tinubu's lawyer said and it will be a closed case

Stricker321:
How did Mmesoma forge JAMB when she graduated from secondary and sat for JAMB and passed? cheesy grin
Firstly Jamb is a Nigerian institution and it doesn't even issue certificates, maybe Waec or Neco would have bn an equal reference. And speaking of, Neco is a Nigerian institution, The certificates issues by Nigerian institutions are not just ceremonial, they are the actual evidence of what is portrayed on it and can be taken @ face value. So if I present an original NECO certificate to any institution anywhere in the world, and they reachout to NECO for affirmation, NECO is obliged to honor it as proof of sitting for the exam and scoring those grades. Forging same is tantamount to fraud.

CSU is not a Nigerian institution and any certificate carrying their name is meant to be ceremonial, meaning if you present a CSU or any other American certificate to CSU for confirmation, they are not obliged to honor same as proof of attendance and graduation, they only use same to vet your academic record to see if you really did attend and graduate unlike NECo who only need to check if the certificate was issued by them and that is it.

This is where INEC either needs to update their procedure to ask for the right document based on the country where you schooled. If in the US, it should be transcript.

Another twist could be that INEC will tell you that they have a vetting process that includes writing the school to vet issued certificates and tell you they did that for Tinubu and CSU confirmed his academic records even before bn cleared to contest

Fresh evidence (from the CSU deposition case of this week in
Chitown, NO new evidence exists except in the wild imaginations of the morally dubious purveyors of hate) CANNOT even be permitted at the Supreme Court and that is the law.

President Tinubu too must organise a media conference to totally destroy the WILD claims of a certain Kalu Kalu the so-called lawyer of Atiku that Tinubu used the result of an African-American which is pure nonsense because the legit SSN presented in the 1970s by Tinubu in the U.S. would have been used to detect any fraud by CSU.

The 2 dates of birth errors at CSU, and female gender error were clear
DATA entry errors due to manual typewriter mistakes back in the 1970s as affirmed or verbally stated by the CSU registrar, Caleb
Westberg.

lt is time for President Bola Tinubu himself to go on the offensive and get those criminally defaming him online and offline because of their intense ethnic bigotry and hate arrested and prosecuted in court.

Tinubu tbh brought a lot of these defamatory attacks on himself because he and his legal team were not proactive and did NOT bring these well-known morally-bankrupt people posting fake news and tarnishing his image online and offline to justice in the last 10 years. It is not too late to do so for sanity and truth to reign.

It was ONLY AIT/DAAR that Bola
Tinubu sued in 2015 for billions of
Naira for showing repeatedly on
AIT a largely false and defamatory documentary that Raymond Dokpesi had collected billions of
Naira for from PDP. The judge finally ordered that AIT should apologise on live TV and in major newspapers to Bola Tinubu as part of an out of court settlement brokered by the lawyer Mike Ozekhome.

Cc:Dollyak
Tinubu doesnt even need any media parley. he just need to wait for the supreme court to conclude then start an officil war with Atiku, cos if he sincerely was all about justice, he could have ended things when he got proof that Tinubu did schoool and graduated from CSU but now he is on a moral attack and slander journey. If I were BAT, I will reopen all his corruption issues since 1999. I dont think his advisers are good, Atiku always pick the wrong fight. he did with OBJ and lost a presidential seat that cud have easily bn his own, he did with PMB and his businesses likely suffered for it. This is same person whose alleged tape on SPV is still everywhere, this is same person who was fingered in bribery cases where his counterpart in the US got jailed....lot of arsenals that the president can use against him, yet he is fighting dirty
PoliticsRe: The Outcome Of Atiku's Appeal At The Supreme Court Is Predictable - Jafar Jafar by tunjilana: 8:18am On Oct 06, 2023
Our laws should be progressive, it should be illogical to claim that you forged an "indicator" of something you legally own or acquired. The FRSC plate number scenario is a clear example of what is wrong with outdated laws. If I go through the process of acquiring a plate number genuinely and the records show clearly that I did earn it, why should I have to pay a premium to get the "number on a plate" everytime it washes off....why cant FRSC just provide a design guide and let everyone be able to reproduce their plate number and fraud/forgery should be defined properly as producing a plate number you never owned.
As for certificates, I think the clime should matter. If the president schooled in the US and was in the US as at the time he got the second copy while following what is legal in the US then a reasonable court should have no issue with that. In my personal opinion it is more logical and progressive for anybody to focus on the "assurance of attendance and graduation" issued by the school than to focus on the "paper" representation of same. Many schools these days issue electronic certificates through verified sources like credly and co....The supreme court judgement will decide if we will be stuck in the lugardian way of doing things or we want to be progressive.
PoliticsRe: I’ll Drop Fight Against Tinubu If Supreme Court Rules In His Favour – Atiku by tunjilana: 4:09am On Oct 06, 2023
This is how things like this will play out in a typical court

1. Atiku will have to prove forgery...and it cant be based on funny analysis like signature and co. The issuing authority CSU will have to confirm it is fake....so far based on the deposition, they haven't said that, on the contrary they validated that he schooled and graduated and that certificate re-issuance is bn done by a third party. All Tinubu's lawyer need to do is insist that the certificate is genuine and obtained through the means provided by the school. The burden of proof is on Atiku....Also the supreme Court is not where u go and start discussing forgery, that is for a lower court to deal, a high court should have examined all the evidences and Dock him for forgery before u can even bring it to appeal of supreme Court. In this case, the PEPT should have bn the first point if call and if they refuse to touch it then it is unlikely that the supreme court will.

2) As for other so called discrepancies like govt college and date if birth, as long as he didnt submit that certificate to INEC , it is not relevant to the case. If the school suspects foul play, the burden of proof is on the school and until that happens and an American Court rules that he committed fraud or identity theft while seeking admission, it is still not admissible evidence and it is not the supreme court's duty to be examining the data you submit to get admission in another country. At best if he schooled in Nigeria, the school will need to take it to the police who will then charge him to court and the outcome will determine if the case can be referenced in this matter....

In all of this, I see no value in this request regarding the upcoming supreme Court decision

hmm
lets watch how this plays out.
Atiku is on track.
but Tinubu can also proof that he cert. he presented was actually his.
he attended the institution, graduated & got a cert.
This right here is the truth.

How does Atiku intend to prove that the certificate is forged. If Tinubu's lawyer insists that the certificate is his own, reissued through a third party vendor, which the school has also confirmed thatbhe attended and graduated and it is ok for vendors to re issue cert, what proof does Atiku have...all his claims of the certificate having discrepancies were not clearly answered by the CSU officer under oath. All Tunubu's lawyer needs to do is to insist and lets see Atiku's point that it is forged....will he prove to the court that he didnt school or graduated there or will he produce his actual original certificate to show that the one INEC has his wrong.... smiley 😃....this case is not diff from 25%, childish at best. He should have left things when the school confirmed he attended, now the argument is over the "paper" submitted to INEC.....even the constitution never made it mandatory to submit any certificate, the constitution simply said the candidate must show proof of being educated to SSCE certificate level or its equivalent....merely proving you attending and graduated from a higher institution is constitutionally ok

Truth remains that as long as the dollar to naira remains the way it is, japa will be difficult to stem...only those earning in USD will wanna stay.

when dollar was 150 naira, a laidback, easy-going lecturer who just wanna impact knowledge and earns 150k (1000 USD net) may not be anxious to relocate to a country where he may not easily get his prestigious lecturing job and level and have to resort to odd jobs and even if he gets a ecturing job may not earn more than 3-4k net, which is about 450-600k NGN, which he probably already gets by combining multiple lecturing jobs, consulting or even doing side business here in Nigeria. Same guy in 2023 understands that the 4k net he will get out there is 4m in naija and he still probably earns 150k-200k.....so tell me what u wanna say to him to keep him here if he has the opportunity....years back, people leave naija to go sch abroad and then come back to lecture

The constitution says you "must have bn educated to atleast school certificate level or its equivalent".... The constitution didn't even say you have to present the certificate or the transcript according to the constitution, you just have to show proof. INEC demanding a certificate or any document to show that the candidate is educated to atleast sch cert level is just there guideline, it doesn't mean that a smart lawyer won't convince the judge that CSU's affirmation of attendance and graduation is equivalent to having "bn educated to ATLEAST" school cert level.
