Bodacious1: Hi all,
Is there anyone who can advise possible options in Australia for a Nigerian trained medical doctor (the person has risen to consultant nephrologist with about 14 years experience)? Go through your spouse if they have a skilled occupation and you can start your process while offshore Or go through UK PLAB 3rd option is through the standard pathway for international practitioners (check MedBA website). You will need to sit for the AMC/MCQ exam. |

I'm confused on their specific occupation to choose as I saw Civil Engineering technician or draftsman.
Thanks. Civil engineering technician is assessed by Vetassess while Draftsperson is assessed by both Vetassess and EA. Please check the job descriptions for each and select which one best describe your role. Then visit their respected to read about the process. Vetassess website (you can type it on Google) and read through their requirements |

sdabo: Hello House,
Please is English test mandotary for Nigerians in submitting CDR/skill assessment to engineers Australia? Also, I have pension statement but I don't have tax statement although my payslip contains informations about my tax contribution. How can that affect my skill asessement? I worked in a company, I need guidance on how i can generate the tax statement Yes. It’s compulsory. Speak to your HR or Accountant on how to get tax statement or clearance. Tax deduction on payslip does not change the name of the document; it’s still a Pay slip not a tax statement or clearance. If you work in Lagos and you have a tax ID, you can chat LIRS on their website |

adewalay: Thank you for your consistent and swift responses.
The company operates more like a sole proprietorship, and I'm exploring the option of paying personal income tax myself, but I need to inquire about the process.
Unfortunately, there are no tax or pension records available from this company.
I'm in need of 20 points to meet the required threshold: Age : 25 points Qualification : 15 points IELTS : not done yet. Although I have about 8 years of working experience, I lack tax records to claim those points.
I considered the self-employed route, but my company was recently registered, and I don't have updated documents yet.
Given these circumstances, what would be your advice on obtaining the remaining 20 points required for the application? I would say pay outstanding taxes and apply for a tax statement/clearance |

Nger88: Internal Auditor
BSc - Unilag and MBA - University of Lincoln, UK
I have all documents that may be needed, Payslip, tax, Employment letter ,Bank statement showing salary, Pension statement, Personal Tax statement Reference letter from employers
Is there an alternate route the score could work for or I will have to rewrite the English test
Thanks Those qualifications would fly for Internal auditor. Ensure your team is actually independent; that's what Vetassess look out for the most for internal auditor assessment. This is depicted in your organogram. No there is no alternative route for that. Internal auditor is competitive so high scores are expected to even get a nomination. |

penitential: Bro,
Please kindly shed more light on this profile.
HND-2013 (civil engineering) PGD-2021 (civil engineering )
I currently have 8years+ working as as site engineer
I want to assess with EA as a civil engineering draftperson, but with my HND so I can claim points for my 8 years work experience.
Please kindly advise the possibility.
Can EA assess my ND and HND for civil engineering draftperson? Civil engineering draftsperson CED is assessed by Vetassess not EA. Also CED is different from site engineer. So your job descriptions must be at least 80-90% CED. You will have to provide all the 3 transcripts and certificates |

OreoPaschal: Thank you very much, Tunlex.
I have some few questions. 1. Will they have to contact my present employer to confirm my role and deliverables? If no, which document is required for verification.
2. After the assessment what will be the next step or line of action? Is it an automated nomination if I met their requirement or I will proceed to another round of nomination?
3. Is the charges in USD or AUD?
Thank you many times.
I am grateful for your feedbacks. 1. They may or may not. List of documents here https://www.vetassess.com.au/skills-assessment-for-migration/skills-assessment-for-professional-occupations/am-i-eligible-to-apply-with-my-professional2. You have to lodge an EOI for each state. Please take your time to read through this thread from the beginning. And no, there is no automatic nomination. You will have to apply and pay for nomination in most cases. 3. Australia uses AUD not USD. |

adewalay: Thank you so much for your continuous support. My assessing body is Engineering Australia. Does this imply that I shouldn't apply since I lack the necessary documents, considering I work for a private company? For EA, tax or pension is required. If you don’t have, you may not be able to claim points for those years of experience. You can assess just your qualification (CDR) with EA. Also, you can get your company to pay the outstanding personal income taxes on your behalf. Private companies are not exempted from tax or pension except in some special situations |

I don't have payslips, pension statements, or personal tax statements available. it depends on your assessing body. Vetassess will be okay with bank statement only but with DHA and most other bodies, you will need pension or tax in addition to other payment evidences. |

Pls I have some questions I would need clarifications on from the elders here. Kindly help out @tunlex01. Thanks in advance.
I have 5 years of work experience but only 14 months in the profession I am nominating for assessment. Do I need to provide employment records for all 5 years of work or just the relevant one year plus experience, which also satisfies vetasses requirements?
As an engineer, would I require any further assessment as regards migration other than vetasses? I have heard a couple of people mention Engineer Australia assessment. Please help clarify. Thanks. You can assess the 14 months with Vetassess and provide documents just for the 14 months. |

And for her BSc, she graduated with Biochemistry from Imo State University, and the only work related experience she has is working in a Pharmacy for more than two years. I used anzscosearch.com From your screenshot below, it shows you can only be nominated by an employer for 494 or 187. It will be hard finding an employer for such jobs as Contact centers are mainly in the cities. |

ab4m: Good day, all, please help me access my profile.
I want to access for Accountant or Auditor.
Visa class 491 - 15 points.
IELTS - I got at least 6 in each component 0 points.
Age - 33 - 39 - 25 points.
Education - though I have a masters in 2022, and I am thinking of using my bachelor's 15 points. Work experience - this is where I have an issue, though I can claim 8 years to give me 15 points, the issue is getting the documents to submit as most of my work is with a private small company and my salary is not going to my bank account from a company account.
I also have a business I can use. My question goes thus: 1. Please which document do I need to claim work experience if am using my business? 2. If I am using the private company as stated above, which documents will I need? Accountant assessment requires IELTS Academic or PTE - minimum of 7 or 65 in each band. If you did not graduate from Accounting from OAU, FUTA, UI or Unilag, you need to add your Masters. Documents for Self employmentBusiness (CAC) registration certificate Letter from your accountant/lawyer stating your job descriptions and key dates Bank statement showing business transactions Company Income tax statement or Personal Income tax statement Copies of invoice issued to customers Copies of invoice received from suppliers Organisational chart Company Financial report Letter from clients indicating the services you provide to them Documents for EmployeeEmployment letter Payslips Bank statement showing salary Pension statement Personal Tax statement Reference letter |

Also I saw Biochemist. Can she apply for that since that's what she studied in her BSc? CCM or CC Team Leader are not being nominated on any visa. You will see the ❌ beside the visa type. Please I need advice on this. I'm 31 and my wife is 24, we're both BSc holders. (Graduated with Second Class upper)
We want to apply for Australia PR and she'll be the main applicant. She's preparing for IELTS at the moment. Her BSc is Biochemistry and she has more than two years working experience in Customer Service role, lead generation and account management. I attached her work experience
Please, I'll need an advice on the which skilled job option will help us or put us in a better position of getting a PR? your class of degree does not count or matter in this process. Customer service/lead generation is not in the occupation list. You have to be at managerial level to assess similar roles. |
