Hello! Planning to move to NSW Australia by November, anyone knows the possibility and information on securing an accommodation while offshore. Please help!
Check on the rental websites like domain, realestate, gumtree.
Plan A: book airbnb or hotel for the first 2-3 weeks cos getting a house is a bit difficult nowadays and you need to have enough funds to pay for the rent and bond.
What is your family size?

Good afternoon everyone

Pls I need advice ,I would like to apply for the 190 or 491. What are my chances with the following profile

I am 27yrs old, working experience of 4years. Currently a customer care officer with a commercial Bank, Accounting education graduate,with ICAN certificate.

My husband is 32yrs old and is currently an internal auditor with state Government, 6years experience , accounting graduate,with ICAN certificate aswell

Pls can ICAN be evaluated as another certificate?
And do we stand a chance?
Pls contributions are needed on this pls?
Thank you in anticipation.
You may be able to assess as an accountant but no experience will be awarded since you do not have an accountant experience.

For your spouse, it depends on the Uni he graduated from to determine if that will pass as an Internal auditor.

ICAN is not evaluated as another certificate, however it can help with your assessment.

Good day everyone, I just finished reading the first 25 pages of this thread after checking page 0.
My ANZSCO code is 233211- Civil Engineer
I have 8 years experience, entered Civil Service as Civil Engr II and I am presently a SNR Civil Engr.
I observed ANZSCO code 312113 describes what I do presently in Civil Service.
I am 32years old
I am yet to do Language Test, will be doing it soon.

I understand that EA is the assessing body.

My challenge is; How do I go about the CDR? I’d really appreciate if there’s anyone that can put me through.

Also, My husband is 34yrs and he studied Geology. He had experience in Customer relations and he’s presently doing a Data Analysis program.

Please who stands a better position in the application?

Cc tunlex01 and other gurus in the house.
if Building inspector suits your role better, you may want to assess that. For EA, you must have pension or tax for all the years you want to submit as experience.
You can assess either with EA or Vetassess
your partner can contribute 5 points by writing English test because his experience and qualification dont match for ACS.

Thank you for this, I joined the group through the link you provided. Do you think 189/190 is still a good option for secondary school teachers or is it advisable to just go for 491. 65pts no work experience
Possible. Never say never

One thing you don't know about visa 491

Why this eye-opening write up? Just so you know visa 491 is as important and good as visa 189 & 190. The goal is to get into Australia legally as possible.
Nailed it! Couldnt have said it better

Hello, please how long does the AITSL assessment take after submitting? And do you also have a group for those who are currently going through this pathway, I’m interested. Thirdly, what is the best option for secondary school teachers? 189,190 or 491?
about 8-10 weeks now.
Best option is based on your total points and the nomination you receive from a state.
189 is not regular these days and 190 has been scarce but 491 is everywhere. Teachers still manage to get 190 though.

Great job with providing valued information and advise to everyone needing help on here.

Visa subClass 190 = Architectural Draftsperson.

Summary of Profile;
Age = 30points
English = 10points (PTE 75)
Job experience = 10 points (7yrs)
Qualification = 15points
Partner skills = 10points
TOTAL= 75points

Profession - Architecture (7years)
First Degree - Architecture (Graduated -2016).

Problems & Questions =>
1). I am about to assess through Vetassess, but my employer is seriously owing pensions and hasn’t been remitting taxes and these are part of the documents required for an assessment. However, I have all other relevant employment details (Notarized Appointmemt and promotion letters, Payslips, ID cards). How can I go about this? Will statutory letters be sufficient for this absence of these documents?. What advice do you have for my stituation?

2).when and how do I nominated by a state that has this discipline on their skill list for 190?.
Firstly, ensure your reference letter and documents reflect Architectural draftsperson and not architect to get a positive assessment from Vetassess
1. You can assess with Vetassess with the documents you have. they dont need to be authorised. Be prepapred to submit evidence of your work where you have been a draftsperson.
Continue to process the tax or pension, you will need them during the visa stage. And if you have funds, you can pay for the taxes.

2. when you have a positive assessment and English test, then you can lodge EOI then visit all the state migration websites to check their requirements and see if you are eligible.

I need candid advice as to the course of study to choose and a choice of University that would add to my PR. I studied Electrical/Electronics Engineering and worked as a QHSE personnel for close to nine years. On the flip side, I learned some coding some years back and would love to apply for a master's program in software engineering in Australia. Do you think I stand a chance of getting admitted for this program. Which school is best fit, considering the idea is also to apply for PR
Why not just apply directly for skilled visa? Is there a reason why you want to go for student visa when you are clearly eligible for skilled visa?

Hello Gurus, Please I would need some guidance as regards my application with Vitassess
1. Bsc Chemistry since 2011
2. Employment of over 8 years with the Federal Government (Civil servant) with over 8yrs work experience
3. I have my last payslip for August before 2022 before travelling for studies outside Nigeria.
My question then is ;
If I put in my first and payslip and the one for last year, will it become an issue since this is 2023 and I have no evidence of receiving salary even though I am still an employee or will it be better to update my payslip to this current year i.e (September 2023)
Lastly, are the payslips verified?
you cannot claim points for experience if you are not getting paid. I assume you are on unpaid leave. If that is so, it cannot be added as part of your employment.

Also check that you are eligble for the occupation you are selecting especially with this tier 1 and 2 university categorisation.
Good luck

Hello @tunlex et al
As I once said, I have almost ten years in elect engineering field and my IELTS result is 6.5/7.5/8/8. U said then that it sort of fall below proficient and advised I rewrite. I have not been able to since I won't lie.
My question now is, can I know if their any regional nomination program that I can apply to with such score or better still the assessment body I can use that can give me a better score. Thanks
you can still run your skills assessment with EA with that score or with TRA (this does not require English test for assessment). However, that score may not get you a nomination cos engineering is competitive and you need at least proficient English to get by these days.

This is a dicey situation as you don't have any, if you have the money to pay, You can do direct assessment of income for your tax, please visit your local tax office, they will assess your salaries through the years after presenting your payslips, and tell you the tax you will pay. You can use the annual tax receipt or the tax statement from those payment for your assessment. 10 years is a lot of years, ensure you are financially ready before threading this path, else assessment is not possible as secondary documents (Tax/Pension) are necessary.
Xchamp, in addition to this, you can assess as a production manager (manufacturing) with Vetassess if that fits your role. You don't need pension or tax for their skills assessment however, DHA will request for it during visa application.

Hi Tunlex,

The skill assessment I applied for came in negative due to my B.Sc Geology from Unilorin being categorised as an Associate degree in Australia. But thankfully, I was able to come in as a dependent some months back.
I'm thinking of applying for another assessment as a friend advised I apply as an Earth science technician rather than a Geophysicist since the criteria for that is an Associate degree.

Can you please advice if this option is viable and if I can get a PR for that.

P.S: My wife is now studying B.Sc Nursing in an NSW regional area.

Thanks a lot for all you do.
yes, that's a viable option

Good evening. Please i studied Transport Management in my undergraduate and have 6 years experienceas a retail buyer how many years wil vetassess remove from my experience. The skill level is level 3. Thank you

You are right, Vetassess may deduct up to 3 years depending on the occupation and level (not all occupations qualify for deduction of experience in lieu of qualification). ACS is like 5-6 years. Some bodies don't allow it.
2 years for non-relevant qualification then 1 year normal deduction = 3 years
Check the information sheet and be sure the job descriptions fits your experience.

Please I need assistance on my application, I was rejected by South Australia and I want to create another application with the same details. How do I go about it?

Which other state can I apply to?

Thanks in anticipation
Apply to Victoria
Check if there is a period you need to wait before you re-apply to SA.

Hello, good morning. Please i have a question to ask.

I'm planning on sending my HND certificate in Civil engineering to EA for assessment. I have no work experience. What are the odds of getting a positive response? Thanks!
Ensure your application is for a level 2 occupation only. HND cannot assess a level 1 occupation with EA.
if you have experience, just go for Civil Engineering draftsperson with Vetassess.

I wrote to my employer via mail since 6 months now for more than 4 times and he never replied to those mails, he only replied with the words of mouth that he’s working on it. I’m completing a year on this visa next month and I’m afraid if the year won’t count for me
it will count, just get statutory declaration.

One of the biggest hurdle you'll have to pass will be the skill assessment. You might be able to get a positive skill assessment if you have a minimum of 5 - 6 years for your work experience even though your degree is not related.

P.S, That was what I interpreted from VETASSESS website.

@tunlex01

There doesn’t seem to enough information about what I am about to ask. I learnt your degree must be related to your work experience. I have a Masters in Labour and relations and I have experience working as an Account Manager in a Fintech. Do I qualify for the 189,190 Visa?
Not in all cases but most.
you need to let us know first which occupation you want to apply for and the anzsco code and we can let you know if it will fly or not

I’m on 482 visa Labour agreement and my employer has been giving me 75 hours per fortnight instead of 76hours. There is no plan to complete this hours by my employer even though it’s part of the conditions of my visa. Will this affect my PR visa application in the future?
I don't see it being a problem.
How did you notify your employer about this issue? remember to make it official via email with evidence. (avoid talks without evidence).

Hello everyone

Well done to those providing answers and help here.

I have a BSc in Physics but have been working as a Reservoir engineer for a while. I just got my Engineers Australia assessment and it said I wasn't assessed as an Engineer, but an Engineering Technologist 233914. I calculated my total points and it came to 80 pts.
Looking at previous ITA rounds, the minimum points for this occupation is 85 points. And I cannot find it on any State occupation list especially Western Australia's WASMOL.

Please I need advice: do I still apply for the 189 hoping 80 pts is enough? Or apply to all regions for 190 as well? What about the 491 visa? I checked WA and QLD and this occupation isn't there for 190 and 491.
Has anyone successfully used this occupation and gotten an ITA? Thanks.
Create all the different EOIs for 189, 190 and 491 for each states

And sign up to all the states migration website. ACT is still nominating but you need high score for their matrix.
