Cynnarr: Good morning Everyone, I am a Registered nurse and midwife(school of nursing) I need any information regarding steps to work in Australia Please. Any route apart from AhRPA will do as AhRPA is very expensive for me. If AHPRA is expensive for you then student visa is not an option then. New Zealand nursing registration then transferring to Australia is another option but the cost is similar to AHPRA |

chommi: hello \,
Please im studied Economics. I am currently a Data Analyst for over 2 years.
I am having trouble choosing the right skills assessment body.
Does any one have an idea on which assessment body i can use? you cannot assess as a Data Analyst with ACS with an Economics degree. You need a computer science degree. You would have been able to but you will need at least 6-8 years experience for ACS to deduct to substitute for non relevant degree |

sdabo: Hello House,
I would like to submit my CDR + Experience assessment for a chemical engineering role to Engineers Australia.
The problem is that the job designation in my employment letter and payslips does not match with the Chemical Engineering Profession. designation in my offer letter and payslips is Procurement Engineer (Production/Process) while my job experience for 5 years is Process Engineer (Which is also a chemical engineer). I was given the role of chemical engineer in the procurement Dept without changing the designation in my payslips and offer letter for about 5 years now. Please how can I claim the 5 years of experience, please how do i clarified to EA regarding my chemical engineering experience? Are there any documents I can use to replace the Offer letter & Payslips?
Please someone with experience should help and respond to my questions Get your employer to include the explanation in the reference letter. You can also include your team's organisational chart. These and well-written JDs should fly |

Vincentosa: Hello @Bellong, I need some opinions from you and anyone who may have been on this situation before. I am currently in my 3rd semester for my master degree program here in NSW, I have a family of 3 back in Naija. I haven't been able to apply for subsequent entrant visa for them because of pof. However, in Feb this year I got nominated for 491 and have since submitted the visa including my family (wife and 2children). But you know how they treat 491 visa application especially if they are not medical occupation. It can take forever with them. Terrible bad to know that they accepted huge visa fees but will never attend to your visa application. Now, I have secured the funds to commence the subsequent entrant visa for my family. I have started it already but I have some fears regarding how to explain the aspect of our 491 visa application in her GTE statement considering the fact that this subsequent entrant visa subclass 500 is a temporary visa. Now we have indicated that we want to migrate to Australia since we have earlier submitted 491.
What do I do from here please? Anyone have been in this situation before? Please help. It's a dicey one because the GTE for 500 SE visa will negative the 491 application. You should have applied for the subsequent entrant before 491. Two options: first is apply for the SE visa (there is a 50 % chance you might get it). Indicate you have missed them and you would like them to join. 2nd option: wait till it's granted. Follow up with calls. If you can contact your MP or Senator, visit them or email them to explain your situation. |

Some good news We got a positive assessment from CAANZ today for one of us. Occupation: Accountant Degree: Bachelors AQF (4 year course from a tier 2 university) Note: we assume it was considered equivalent to Bachelor's degree due to the added ICAN certificate+transcript.
So for accountants out there with ICAN or ACCA, assess with CAANZ |

Chomyg: Good morning my people, please which type of IELT is required for skilled visa? Can PTE academics be written in Abuja because I didn’t see any Abuja test center on their website? Is PTE Academics accepted for both Study and PR ? I think the center (TATEC PTE Pearson Center) is no longer testing in Abuja. Perhaps give them a call. Kaduna is the closest. You need to check your occupation and the assessing body requirement to be sure if you need to write a specific English test. |

Giov: Hello House. Is there anyone here who is intending or has applied for a teaching Job in Aussie please get in signify. I have just few questions to ask. You can also reach me on giov826@gmail.com. I will be glad. People don't get teaching jobs in Australia from offshore because there is a code of conduct for teachers and other trainings you need to do before you can teach in Australia similar to doctors, nurses etc which you will need to be in Australia to do them. You need to assess your qualification and employment with AITSL if eligible. |

Xelene: Hello house.. Big thanks to everyone contributing to make this easy and accessible to us newcomers. My name is Elle and I’m looking to travel to Australia through the skilled migration route. I studied history in university but my passion and experience is solely fashion designing. I am hoping to begin prepping for the PTE exams soon as possible. I am a fashion designer and have up to 5years of experience. So far, I’ve been able to find fashion design on the occupation list and read about it. But it’s still a bit confusing on what necessary steps to take and the assessment process too. Please any advice and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏🏼 Hello, please check Vetassess definition of a fashion designer and be sure you are not miscontruing it for a Dressmaker/Tailor occupation. For Vetassess, you need to have a Bachelors from a tier 1 university or a 5 year course to from a tier 2 university. So before you write PTE, check that you meet the eligibility based on qualification. Also, I hope you have all the employment documents to back up the 5 years including tax statement and/or pension. |

manbo09: Early Childhood Education is faster in terms of getting Grant while University Lecturer is easier in terms of getting an assessment outcome True but this person does not have experience as an Early Childhood teacher. Only experienced as a lecturer. Qualification assessment may not even pass with AITSL if the initial degree is not from a tier 1 university or a 5 year education course. |

My wife & I have decided to get a PR for Australia. She is a lecturer in one of the state's Uni & has a Ph.D in Early Childhood Education. (1) Which among the options is the best (i.e easier, faster) option or us; (2) How much will it cost? I'll appreciate your answers please. Assess as a University leccturer. It's the easier option. The cost for full skills assessment is on Vetassess fees page. |

Please I'm having challenge with obtaining reference letter from my place of work, what alternative document can I use for that?
Also, COREN recently got admitted as provisional signatory into Washington Accord. Can COREN registered members now skip assessment from EA? You can get it from your supervisor. if not, create one with all the required information and take it to court for notarisation. They will create a cover letter in addition to the reference letter you have prepared. The information was confirmed to be false. |

will007: Hello Tunlex01
I’m new here and even though this thread is filled with a boatload of information, I don’t know where to start. So I was hoping you can narrow it down for me and I will run from there. Here are my details -
Occupation - Accountant(writing exams to be chartered)
Degree - Bsc Banking & Finance; Ond Banking & Finance
Working experience - 3 years as an accountant/Finance Manager.
Status - Single
Looking to pursue the PR route. Please let me know what my chances are and if you need more information.
Many thanks for your response. With any of the 3 accounting bodies, there is hardly a chance if you dont have a degree in Accounting. Try student visa application for masters. https://www.charteredaccountantsanz.com/become-a-member/migration-assessment/australia-immigration/qualification-assessment-criteria/competency-areas |

People pay the rent and buy those houses cos they make the money! it's expensive but people are still buying and renting which is not exclusive to Australia. it's the same in other countries. |

Joshvent: Greetings great family.
My school sent my award certificate and transcript 2 months before l submitted my Vetassess application. Now Vetassess said they've not received. What do l do?
Remember it was sent with the 6-digit reference generated from my application, which changed slightly after submitting the application and making payment. I have told Vetassess that it was sent on 19 May, and that they should search for it using the 6-digit reference as opposed to the slightly changed reference l got after l made payment. Please help!!!
@ Tunlex01, Bellong, NB1912, Bligs and other great minds here... Did you confirm when it got to them in May? Just send them the evidence your courier company sent to you and advise them of the person who received it in their office. |

Chomyg: Hello house, Please I have some questions, I am a civil engineer with over 5 yrs experience in the construction industry. I am interested in doing my masters on Construction project management, please I need guidance on schools to apply to and that are cheap. Secondly is it advisable going for the skilled visa rather than the masters? My challenge is if the 8 bands scores on IELT is easily obtainable? Just go for skill assessment as a Civil Engineer or Civil Engineering draftsperson. Student visa should be your last resort if you have experience and qualifications that align. |
