Thanks for the advice.i only felt I could have included my resume but no problem.im highly hopeful..pls can there be nomination by July 2023? For 190
lol...i wish I know too.
There are a few nominations left for the rest of the year.
For 190 for ACS occupations, you will need a high score like 80-105 points. it may be easier with 491.
Also there is usually not nominations in early July until the end of the month/early August due to the new financial year. Most states wait for allocation and then revew with their needs before coming up with the requirements for the new year.

Please I am interested in subclass 491

My current point
Age (33) - 25 points
Degree (BSc) - 15 points
I am single - 10 points but I intend marrying and i heard this will affect my score
English (Competent level) - I was given zero for competent level.
I studied Petroleum Engineering (5yrs) but ever since I have been teaching in a school. Since I can't claim points working in the area of my choosing occupation I selected less than 3yrs experience which gave me zero.

The occupation I am going for is Petroleum Engineer and I intend to pursue Western Australia nomination which do that same occupation. It also does not require me to have any relevant working experience for that occupation.

Any advise on how I can boast my points?

Thanks
Get 20 points in English by writing pte and budget to write multiple times. Also give 190 or 491 a chance.
It’s up to you if you want to get married but don’t make mistake of getting married or have a live-in partner and claim single. The 10 points for single is also not applicable if you are not officially married but live together. So no traditional, court or church marriages and no live-in. Cos if they discover, you will lose on all sides.
Your other option is get married and claim 5 points from your spouse by writing English test or remain single till you land in Australia

Hello House,

I recently submitted my skill assessment with ACS which i will like to tender some explanation as well.. how can i do that? is there an email to write cos after submission i didn't see anywhere to put in comments.

Pls help.
That should have been put in before you make payment.
I don’t think you can add anything to your application after payment.
Another option is to call ACS and ask them. Let us know how you go.

Hello to all the gurus and OGs on this thread.

I am about to verify with vetasses and I will like to check with the experts before submitting.

Graduate from Unilorin mathematics (4yrs) and executive MBA from OAU (2yrs)

Age: 29yrs.
Experience: 5 years in marketing- I have switched 3 employers in between the 5 years. I have reference letters from these employers and can also provide payslips but I can’t provide organizational chart from previous employers. IELTS (6 band) available.

Spouse: currently a scholarship student in Europe with Bsc and msc in engineering. No ielts
Age: 29 yrs.

Our interest is in visa subclass 190.
Please what are our chances and any advice.
Thank you
Which occupation do you want to nominate? I want to believe it’s Marketing specialist since you mentioned organisational chart.
Be sure you are into marketing research and not a salesperson before you assess with Vetassess.
For organisational chart, request for it via email from your organisations and use that email response as evidence to prepare a statutory declaration and design your own organogram

A friend studied Physics in school but has been working for about 4 years now in the telecommunications industry. What route can such a person take for Australian PR? What assessing body and what occupation category?
Try going for Masters. TRA will not approve. ACS may approve but 4 years is too small to go for RPL.

Hello House, good evening.
Thanks guys you all are doing a good job on this platform. I got a notification from Northern Territory via email for nomination for skilled work regional (provisional) SC491 visa yesterday as a potential candidate for a nomination. I have been told review my response on the EOI and reply their mail soonest. However, I need advise on the best approach to address my major concern.
I am an expectant Father by August and my unborn child will not be covered by the visa (base on my EOI) if I continue with my application. What kind of visa will I apply for the child considering the fact he/she wasn't part of my application.
Thanks.
That should not be a problem.
You can add a child to the application for free if the child is born before your visa is approved. You need a birth certificate to be uploaded on your Immiaccount, then upload passport afterwards.
If the child is born after your visa is approved, you will have to apply for a 491 subsequent entrant for the child @ $4,240.

With a 5 year degree in Food science and 2 years experience in the food industry (1 year brewer & 1 year QC officer @ bottling company).

Will this suffice for a skilled visa as Food Technologist ANZSCO 234212

The description of the Food Technologist role as described by the Australian immigration website doesn't match both of my job descriptions as much as I would like.
If the JDs don't fit what you do, then stay clear of Vetassess and look for occupation that align.
If not, ensure they are aligned to food technologists JD.
You can also do a Skilled Assessment Support (SAS) with Vetassess to know if your documents will be assessed positively or not. It's $211 and it's cheaper than paying $962 and getting a negative assessment

Hello,
Please what level of skill will someone that finished from school of nursing( RN) fall under?
Is there any chance for any skill migration visa?

Thanks
the process is a bit streamlined for nurses.
You either practice in the UK first and move to Australia or get New Zealand license then apply to Australia for jobs with that or you go through your spouse if you are married.

Hello everyone, thanks for sharing on this platform. I sincerely appreciate the moderators as well.

Please I would like to know if there is a chance of getting a positive assessment.

B.tech Agricultural Engineering 2010

M.sc Water Science and Engineering with specialization in land and water development for food security. 2019.

Currently working as an Agricultural extension extension officer for 2 years.

Can I get a positive assessment if I apply to me nominated as Agricultural consultant with similar job description on VETACCESS.

Your opinion is highly appreciated.
Check Vetassess information sheet for agricultural consultant and be sure you meet the requirements on the information sheet form Vetassess website.

You should also check if your JD tally more with Agricultural consultant than Agricultural Engineer. But since you work as an extension worker, it's more like consultant.

1. What universities are tier 1 and what others are tier 2?

1. OAU, FUTA, Unilag and UI
2. It's Australian Qualification Framework. Until our NUC updates the educational profile, nothing will change. The last time I checked the details in 2020, our profile had not been updated since august 2013 i think

I have a BA in Philosophy from Madonna University: 2010- 2014

MA in Social Sciences from Germany: 2018-2020

Hello good people, I need some clarity, please...

BSC: Mechanical Engineering (Nigerian University) -- 5 years
MSC: Mechanical Engineering (South Korean University) --- 2 years
PhD: Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Ongoing; Australian University) --- First year

Currently trying to apply for a skills assessment on Engineers Australia.

SK University is accredited under the 3 ACCORDS but Naija Uni isn't (obviously)
My question is- should I apply via one of the ACCORDS or via CDR?
Email Engineers Australia. I would reckon it should be the ACCORDS option.
Let us know what the response is

Greetings house.

My wife is about to Apply for skill assessment via VETASSESS (As a university lecturer).
Her profile:
School is UNN for both degree and Masters.
She is a Pharmacist and has lectured for 6 years.
Every document for proofs is available.
Currently a PhD student in Australia.

Someone here mentioned that we should avoid level 1 occupation as UNN is a tier 2 university and this is giving me concerns.

Please is it wise to proceed with VETASSESS skill assessment?.
Thanks
To correct, no one said you should avoid level 1 occupation because UNN is tier 2. There are exceptions and that has been reiterated multiple times.
Pharmacy in Nigerian universities is 5-6 years so tier 1 or 2 does not apply in this case.
She can proceed with her assessment.

If you can find a way to get a positive assessment cos without a work experience, you may not be able to get PR through skilled migration.
