blackbriar: please my question is regard Police certificate
while checking the process for the 189 visa, it states to gather documents after submiting EOI so i was hoping on applying for the police certificate document but however on getting to the police website ; it states and i quote " you need to provide a document that confirms your neccesity of the police certificate ; for example , a letter from the authority stating the requirement to submit it"
how do i go about this please? Have you gotten 189 or any ITA at all? |

itwillendinprai: Good day everyone and a Blessed year to us all.
I've been following this thread for quite a while and would like to take a bold step. Please I need some advice/guidance, here's my profile.
I Studied Project Management Technology, FUTO, 2009
Over 5 years building/construction experience, but salary was paid in cash. Hubby studied Banking and finance with over 7years experience, his salary is also being paid in cash. We're both within age brackets of 35 to 37. None of us have written IELTS but I plan to register soon, and hopefully smash it(by God's Grace)
Now, here's the issue, hubby wants me to be the principal applicant as he dosnt have interest in the migration thing and may not really do so well in the IELTS exam. I'd like to go for program/Project administrator, what are our chances please. @bellong @tunlex01 @anyone who can guide me please Was tax or pension paid? Do you both have payslip? What's your hubby 7 years experience in? You will need his score and if possible assessment to get a very good score. He may even be better off the PA than you. As it is with the new point system, married folks need to work together (competent English and positive assessment) to have a cometitive edge with the singles who have an automatic 10 points. So your spouse needs to be interested to help you push through. |

millykel: Thanks so much for ur prompt reply. Please Bros, can my one year industrial training experience plus one year Nysc experience plus three years experience all in Agricultural related field and career episodes based on my ND and HND final year projects make up the five years experience. Industrial training - No NYSC - Yes 3 years experience in Agricultural technician role only. You don't need career episodes for Vetassess. Vetassess will also deduct at least 1 year from your submotted years of experience. Positive assessment is the most important, other states may be open when you have your assessment and English test result. |

trublu: what if I have a MBA in marketing qualifications...and also can I explore the possibility of enrolling for masters for my wife and I in Australia as a means for migrating...thanks for your patience. If you have MBA, it would have been better but just to let you know that Vetassess only considers experience after qualification. SO all the experience prior to the MBA will not be recognised. It's possible to assess with MBA but you will still need at least 1 year experience post qualification experience to assess with Vetassess. Even though you will get a post study visa if you studied in Australia (depending on the study period), you will get extra point for Australian study requirement but the snag will be not getting a job in a sales role during your post study visa to allow you assess with Vetassess but if you get one, you will be fine. @bellong can also provide more insight. |

trublu: Lagos State university for the Bsc Federal university of technology mine PhD I don't report directly to the MD, it's a massive multinational. With this, you can't assess for Supply or Distribution manager as you are required to be reporting to the MD. Also, you don't have a Bachelors degree as LAsu 4 year degrees are not AQF bachelors degree. You need a Bachelors degree for all sales/marketing related roles |

mydas4ever: Botany was in 2008
ACCA was concluded in 2017
Audit work experience was from 2013 till date
Please advise on my best options. Oh... Botany is entirely not related. If possible, submit transcripts of both degrees. There is a high possibility that you will get less than 2 years experience approved for you based on the Accca qualification date. I'll also advise you go through the information sheet for Internal Auditor on Vetassess website. Best of luck |

BetterPerson007: Hi Tunlex, Please I need your help. Can I lodge an EOI for 491 with South Australia and NT? My total points (inclusive of state nomination) is 75 points. Is that good enough? My occupation is fitter.
Please, others are invited to provide insights as well. Sadly, Fitter has moved to special condition on SA list. So you need a minimum of 95 points to get 491 ITA. Did you just get your assessment result? You options include: NSW 190 - with your total point of 65 for 190 visa, it won't get you ITA. NSW 491 - you need a minimum of 5 years experience NT 491 - minimum of IELTS 6 in each band QLD 491 - available too TAS 491 - at least 3 years experience. Create EOIs for the ones you meet their requirements and check their respective websites for the nomination process. |

cybug: See the reasons below Chai, you dashed Vetassess A$880 just like that. Your degree was the main culprit. You can't assess for a level 1 occupation with an Associate degree especially with Vetassess. You need a Bachelor's degree before doing that. You can only assess for a level 2 occupation or below. |

Edet08: I want to understand how the points are calculated. From the points table I’m hoping to score 75 assuming I’m applying for 189. After assessment, do you mean that chances are points may drop or increase as the case may be before applying for the visa category 189? Points are calculated based on the point calculator on immi website. If you check, you will see that there are extra points for 190 and 491 visa. Visit www.anzscosearch.com to read about the point system as well as state nominating your occupation. You can create EOi with 75 points but may not be able to get ITA with that point as the last draw had 95 as minimu point for ITA. The chances that points will drop for 189 is almost zero cos DHA wants to push immigrants to the regional areas and not the congested cities. So 190 and 491 is your best option, that's if your occupation is being nominated by any state. |
