Gracee101:The future does not occur in a vacuum, it is the end result of lessons learned from the past. You complain about people going back to your past, but you're still blaming your parents for actions THEY took in the past. It seems the past isn't your problem, it's that you're very sensitive to being shown up for not being as good as you think you should. If you are unable to take responsibility for anything then there is no advice to give you. Your GPA is likely too low to get into any serious school here. It's not like Nursing school in the United States is some piece of cake. Now feel free to abuse me to your hearts content. |
josiahese:Niagara falls is at least 7 hours from NYC by road, over 11 hours by train. Make sure you are aware of all these. Also, it's sort of odd that you are going to Utah to see the National Parks in the off season when these areas are now cold and deserted. |
Havre:Option 1 is your safest bet. I think for a j1 visa you need a sponsor. |
Xabibarbie63:You obviously cannot afford the cost of education in the United States, so why bother? There are better things in life than being illegal here. Americans are not Nigerians, if the school has asked to see a bank statement showing a minimum of $23000, a bank balance showing $22999 as bank balance is not accepted. |
UBGG:lol the truth is you have no other choice. If the US granted all Nigerians a free pass to the US... how many of you would be left behind? You people are such hypocritical jokes. |
josiahese:That's all you're going to do? Ok, not sure how that's going to work but give it a try at least. |
UBGG:You would have shocked me if you said anything different... you remind me of those folks supporting tithing. You are the quintessential Nigerian, full of emotional fury and nothing else. Good luck. I'm sure you're aware that a government website has no platform to raise genuine grievance and that this is the reason forums like this exist... but of course, that would not square with your need to sound like you've got something oh so important to say. |
UBGG:The problem with fixing Nigeria is that i'll have to deal with fools like you who think 7 academic degrees is evidence of "achievement", that being pan Nigerian is the best thing ever and who obviously support building statues of the president of Liberia in Imo state. That alone is enough to put a grown man into depression... the problem with Nigeria isn't the infrastructural or political rot, it is the intellectual rot inherent in its people. That you cannot fix. |
eagleeye2:In your blind idiocy, you didn't realize i was simply playing on the quote in my post. |
eagleeye2:I live in a country where i am guaranteed millions of dollars in pensions when i retire. You can enjoy building the next statue in Imo state to Alex Ekwueme. By the way, what London hospital are you flying to when next you're sick? |
sanpipita:1. Saying someone is pan Nigerian is the same as saying that someone is breathing air. It is a meaningless statement that adds zero value to anyone. 2. He selflessly fought for return of democracy how? We only got democracy because Abacha died of natural causes, simple. I find it odd that you say he "didn't bother" after he lost the PDP presidential ticket. So was he "fighting for the return of democracy" because he cared for us or because he was more interested in achieving high office again so he could enrich himself? So it would be ok for him to not fight for democracy unless there is some political office he could gain? Strange. 3. Ekwueme may not have enriched himself, but he did nothing to fight for better living conditions for you either. 4. Staying true to character is another one of those empty statements that convey nothing of substance. True heroes are remembered for tangible achievements that impact the lives of others, not for "Staying true to character" as if the rest of us are staying false to character. |
ottohan:lol a literate guy complaining that an illiterate is speaking "high grammar" to him. I doubt you could tell irony even if it slapped you in the face. This isn't "high grammar", it's just regular english language for me... perhaps you could learn it too if you had 7 degrees? I pray never to be like Alex Ekwueme, a dishonorable thief whose only achievement in life is to hoodwink a people beaten down by poverty and hopelessness that they begin to hail building statues as a dividend of democracy. |
ottohan:For such a "mature" person... your uncouth language betrays you. ![]() Only the daft trot out "seven academic degrees" as an achievement. That isn't an achievement... that is a testament to someone who either had no direction in life or didn't have the cojones to go out in the world and make something out of his life, other than feeding at the public trough. How many degrees does Elon Musk have? He just built an electric semi capable of hauling over 4000 tons for 500 miles on a single charge... what has Ekwueme done with all his "academic degrees"? Nigerians are the thickest people i've ever seen. |
platypelloid:That is your job to do. |
ottohan:and the 7 academic degrees have provided you good roads, jobs, security, light and water? How many degrees do you think Steve Jobs had? You're still using candles in 2017 and calling your leaders "legends"? Indeed they are legends, legends at fooling the most moronic people on earth. |
sanpipita:A rare breed of what? If we have to "read about him" then he was probably just as inconsequential as the rest. I never saw him campaign for better pay for workers, i never saw him fight against corruption... all i saw was another charlatan happy to feed at the public trough, regardless of the plight of his people. Please educate me... most of you seem to have a hard time telling us what exactly he's done to deserve all the RIPs. |
Jaideyone:Your hospitals have become glorified morgues, which is why your leaders all run here when they have malaria... and you're busy wishing them RIP all day? What happens to you when you fall sick? Come on NL begging for funds to go for surgery in India? You all have no shame. |
anjowaka510:Can you please define "icon"? There is a dictionary on google. |
ottohan:My brother, at what point do we start to learn our lessons and stop this superstitious nonsense? Speaking the truth isnt the same as speaking bad. Alex looted your pension so he can treat himself in london, only to die anyway. What happens when you fall sick? You start shopping around for miracles because you're too poor to afford common drugs? |
egbabiekperemo1:lol a curse will descend on me how? You superstitious but frankly blind bats make me laugh... the rest of the world is seeking to reach the moon, you're busy talking about curses. From where? Isn't your country under a curse itself? No light, no water, no money, no jobs, high crime, no hope, your fellow country women are floating in the mediteranean, your men are being sold like sheep in 2017... and you think i am the one under a curse? You're a joke. |
eagleeye2:Oh so he has no legacy other than that he's died? Shame then... sorry, RIP is the most meaningless word of all time. It does zero to help the dead. It's simply a feel good piece of noise that people throw around then promptly forget. |
eagleeye2:Please list his legacies as VP. I'll wait... breaking glass ceilings does not count. |
eagleeye2:I think you're thick to be honest... you don't seem to have read the Rick Warren blurb that you quoted - let me explain to you... i don't hate you simply because i criticize your lack of integrity, incompetence, corruption and complete indifference to the plight of the common man. |
eagleeye2:It isn't hate to call out the idiocy in your country. Where has your "love" taken you so far? |
biafranrealson:What made him a legend? His white hair? |
eagleeye2:I live in the United States... absolutely nothing will convince me to live in the same country as those old fools. It's worse that there are people here who sing the praises of morons who collect mind boggling salaries to keep their people in poverty in the 21st century. |
eagleeye2:You don't want to hear what i have to say about Buhari... lets wait till he dies too. |
eagleeye2:Oh please cut it with the incoherent blather. I have consistently called out the "political elite" of which Ekwueme was a key player. He happens to be the subject of this thread, which is why i mention his name... it could be anyone else. One would think you would be smart enough to have figured that out. By the way, i am half-igbo and most of my close family is from there... unlike you though, i don't place a premium on a member of my tribe simply attaining a position. It is much more important that they execute that role (no matter how insignificant) with integrity, selflessness and putting the interests of their constituents first. Which of these can you say about Ekwueme? If all that is important to you is that an igbo man broke a glass ceiling to be named a ceremonial VP, then we are in deep trouble. |
MrMakaveli20:Isn't that the same rote language we trot out when most of these folks kick the bucket? It's over-used... we should try another excuse. Oh dear... the old "respect old age"... my living long has nothing to do with my opinion about Nigeria's generation of corrupt, inconsiderate and wicked political elite. |
Amarabae:Like humanity cares about a people who either don't realize when they are being openly raped by a rapacious elite or don't care because they themselves have the same mindset. Keeping quiet is why you're being sold as slaves in Libya in 2017... and you're pretending that everything is ok. |
I don't know what the world will look like 1000 years from now, but i know it won't have Nigeria in it or making any significant progress. We most likely would long have ceased to exist... destroyed by our own incompetence, rampant corruption and self-inflicted hunger. |
eagleeye2:If being the vice president is being a useless figurehead then why are we here pretending like he was anything consequential and that he did anything to advance our cause? Nigerians are bandwagon RIP greetings. |
