dunsinogundele: It most likely means you might need to be pay higher if the booking they made for you expires before they receive your payment. It could also be lower but that rarely happens. I speak from the angle of a travel agent. |

afope: Oga from what I have read, you do stand a good chance. There however is no condensed version as you need to do plenty of reading. When you have read through it all and still feel you need some clarity then by all means ask then. Be that as it may,I got my grant as an accountant so feel free to dig up my old posts. |

hallelluyah: Not a bother at all.I would suggest you go through the Csol and Sol lists patiently again .You will find a course sociology will qualify for.If that doesn't work, add all your degrees and search again |
Travel / Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by tyosho: 10:20am On Jan 05, 2017 |
@halleluyah. I don't know so much about vetassess but I do know they can be tough. Then sociology degree alone to internal auditor?Im not too sure you will have the required core courses for internal auditor skill in your sociology transcript. You will most likely need your Ats and Msc to support you and that will reduce your points. Mayb you should try another skill and opt for vet assess as last resort. I'm sure others will have more to say |

koolhunk: I don't know about Ifexsco"s time o,but with hubby"s applications,I'm certain they read his mailssss.we sent plenty For one, hubby finished his 60 documents limit at a go so the only chance we had of communicating was by email. They also asked us to submit English test, pccs from Nigeria and pccs from the USA(some documents we had submitted and some we didn't need). We replied that we already sent English test results and Nigerian pccs.As for the US pccs,we resent our travel history dates(which was even different from what was on our form 80 sef we later realized) and told them we didn't have to provide pccs. They didn't ask us for any of those documents again and neither did they ask for a new form 80 becos of the conflicting Us travel dates. When hubby cleared his medicals and Form 815 didn't come,he sent them a mail explaining he needed to pls round up on time becos of the 6months limit attached to his medical clearance. They sent Form 815 same day. A week later he sent them a mail wishing them merry Christmas and they should please work within his 6months limit, they sent the grant, the very day after. He then sent a thank you mail afterwards So house, with these few points of mine,I hope I have been able to convince you that they do read mails. Ps-we got mails from 3 different case officers(Adelaide team). |

canadianboy: Hello CB, I would answer this to the best of my understanding.Pls visit the CA website. There"s a list of courses they expect you to have studied in school in order to be positively assessed.I would suggest you get ALL your transcripts and syllabuses,go through them and confirm they contain the courses listed on CA"s website. If they do,then you're almost sure you're getting a positive assessment. It doesn't matter if the courses are spread through your two degrees and ATs qualification. |

For a journey that started sometime in 2013,I'm very happy and so grateful to God that we received our 189 grant mail this morning. A big thank you to BossLadyMo who was there from the very beginning and of course Sir Bellong who encouraged me when I was feeling overwhelmed at some point. To everyone who has responded to my enquiries at one time or the other, this is saying THANK YOU. My family and I are getting set for Melbourne as I type. The journey so far; Applied with Vetassess as internal auditor in August or so 2013 and got a negative report after over four months. Encouraged by another who's gotten his grant,we tried ICAA as external auditor in June 2014.After over 3months,they asked us to provide a corrected transcripts as the one we submitted omitted some courses. Trust Nigeria institutions,we enter one chance trying to get a fresh transcript. At this point,my Oga(principal applicant) say he's not doing again. He asked for his documents and money back from ICAA.Na there the journey terminate in 2014. After plenty cajoling, prayers and pampering, hubby agreed to try again with Icaa in 2015.He Waka tire and spent money trying to get a fresh transcript which he now sent again to ICAA. October 2015,we were positively assessed. We lodged Eoi with 60points(hubby wrote Ielts thrice by the way to get 7 minimum). February 2016 he wrote Pte and we moved up to 70points. When invite didn't show by May,he applied to ICAA with same documents and was positively assessed as accountant. August 2016,we got four invites!!! 189 accountant and 189 external auditor. Then 190 accountant and 190 external auditor from Nsw. We went with 189 external auditor and lodged on Aug 3rd.Uploaded all documents. Then late August, there were issues with hubby"s X-rays and he was asked to do further X-rays.They still were not satisfied and asked for a sputum test.We were quite frustrated. Finally on Nov 28th,his medicals were cleared. On Dec 7th he was sent a health declaration form 815 to fill and submit. Dec 22nd,we got our grant for the whole family. Pls forgive any errors.I no fit modify 18 Likes 1 Share |

dunsinogundele: No one can give you worst case scenario. Each family"s circumstance differs and what benefits you get is determined on a case by case basis. For family assistance though, the most common figures I have read is in the range of aud 400 fortnightly. Until your grant is in view though,I do not think you make plans based on it. |
"Same SOL"? How about if the applicant has her occupation listed on both SOL and CSOL and her spouse's occupation is listed only on CSOL? Would she be able to earn partner points if he gets a positive assessment on his nominated occupation? I just want to be very clear on this. Thank you cc: tyosho, bellong[/quote If main applicant has occupation on SOL and CSOL,then spouse has only on CSOL,the main applicant should go for 190 visa if he wants to claim 5 partner points. But if main applicant is going for 189 visa,he can't get the partner points. 2 Likes |

That's correct. You will only need to provide PCC for countries you have spent cumulatively at least 12months over the past 10years. There have however been instances of them asking for PCCs for stays of just about 10months too. So if u have spent above 10months in a country over the past ten years, start searching for how to get its PCC. They haven't requested for mine, but I got the US PCC just in case(it took over 2months). 1 Like |

Actually economy class arrives first because the aircraft tail touches the ground first and that's where economy passengers sit. |

-What does the term "date of effect" on the EOI mean and what impact does it have on being invited? -Is it possible to switch visa subclass from 189 to 190 using the same EOI profile? -Once one is in the Skillselect pool, is there a waiting period before one gets invitation to apply? i.e. Is it on first-come, first-serve basis? I am thinking that maybe, my wife can earn additional 5 points with state nomination if she switches. cc: NNBB2012, Scrollmeout, Johnsontade, Izykvision01, Crestline, Pingu2k5, Chookudi, kubbiebrownie, bellong, OmogeNG, scrollmeout, erictack203
-your date of effect is the day your EOI was successfully submitted. Its from that date you join the pool of other successful applicants and is eligible for an invite. Pls note that if your points increase or decrease for any reason, your date of effect will change to reflect the day the point change happened. With 65 points, please open a fresh EOI and go for state nomination.NSW is the easiest to go for as all they require when last I checked is for you to tick them as the only state you are interested in in your EOI(I think WA and SA also sponsor accountants. You can check anzscocode.com). Hubby was assesed under two jobs,we had 4 EOI"s and it still took over 3months to get an invite with 70points(it is not illegal to have more than more EOI and we got invites on all four EOI within a space of 5days).the downside is that it loads the system to plenty applications from a single applicant. -yes there is a waiting period and your points decide how long you will wait.they have a certain number of slots per invitation round.they start from the highest pointers and move downwards.they select all 80 pointers, then 75,70,65 etc.If they earmark 200 slots in a round and its exhausted by only 80pointers and 75pointers,you will wait till next round. But bear in mind that any one that has 70 points and above and submits an EOI before the next invitation round, will still be chosen ahead of you even though though their date of effect is later than yours. I hope my explaination is understandable.if not feel free to ask further. In the meantime, open a seperate EOI,select 190 visa and click on NSW. 2 Likes |
