i just had to login to respond to your post.
@op,please do relocate legitimately as long as you are qualified for it.Try the canadian or Australian migration programme as both are wonderful countries.I totally understand the angle you are speaking from as i agree that Nigeria is a frustrating country and there doesnt seem to be hope of it getting better soon.
I spent 4months in the US last year when i went to have my baby and i must say i felt like not leaving(it wasnt my first time overseas but it was the longest time spent outside this country).Nobody is saying its a bed of roses out there but its WAAAAY better than Nigeria.I stayed with an excolleague who migrated with the visa lottery program 6months earlier and shes doing a whole lot better than me with my 7years work experience.Everything thats easily accessible to majority of folks out there is an exclusive of the stupendously rich here(good food, insurance, healthcare, quality education, social welfare, holiday travels etc) and its so frustrating to see ppl suffer over the smallest of necessities in Nigeria.
The most annoying is that most Nigerians dont even know they are suffering cos they have never had it any other way.We have tried for the Australian scheme but didnt qualify cos hubby has less than the 4years required experience required.

The most important thing is migrate legally and every other thing will follow.

For those saying 8m annually is good enough reason not to migrate, well thats what i thot too that didnt make me migrate during the UK HSMP years.Today nko?the company has not only closed up,it closed up owing me months of salary and no plan anywhere by anybody to pay us the money owed.My male ex colleagues have seen weeen.

evening visa officer.
I have a friend whos baby is due by december and her visa expires that same december.Im advising she applies for another visa so she can spend at least a month after the baby is born to recover properly but shes saying she would rather go to the us first and then apply for an extension of visa with the uscis. This she believes is better than applying for a fresh visa before departure which if its refused could stop her chances of having her second baby in the us.
What do you think?
P.S-she had her first baby girl in the us on the same visa and says she paid all her bills.

she should pay for the visa fees and ask for ticket money by dropping hints about the ticket cost.abeg he should contribute something substantial cos guys can be funny. If she foots it all alone this time, theres no saying he wont take advantage of that and play dumb next time.Even if he isnt making much in the UK,he gats to contribute something.

baby Please dont argue with emeka or whatever his name is.There will always be people like him.If the US isnt as wonderful as we are made to believe like hes claiming,he should come home and see wonders.Every year i travel and hear people say im going back to niger, this country is too stressful, its you guys that come in when you feel like that are enjoying. All na wash.6years on they are still there, another 20years,they are still there. All the ones that have come to set up businesses have all run back.they enjoy the first month in niger, manage the second, struggle through the 3rd month and by the fourth month, they are cursing what brought them here.

oyb: What sort of pathetic excuses are these? None of you is disturbed with the way people are being stacked like dead animals or refuse? You have no idea how shameful it is? Or you do not realise everyone of those corpses was a person like you with dreams and aspirations?

Instead of silence there is idiocy, they were at sea. Mor-ons. Silence is golden if you have nothing smart to say. Or in your worldn accident victims are supposed to be stacked in tha back of pickup vehicles.

What is bad is bad. Stop this pathetic defense of the undefensible. Think about any of your loved ones being stacked like a piece of garbage

Leave them to continue to argue blindly.Nigerians are in deep shit but they dont even know it.Is it not if they know theres trouble that they will work for a way out?just leave them o.It pays the people in power for them to continue to exhibit this level of IQ.

jmoore: The children take care of their parents in Nigeria unlike in those foreign countries where they are sent to old people's home.

Children should take care of their parents!!
Rubbish report!!
na wa o.how much do these children earn sef?so a married man whose parents doesnt have a house of their own and whose wife doesnt have a job yet should take care of his wife and children first, then pay for his parents and in laws house rent, send them feeding allowance, pay their utility bills and the drugs they have to take which naturally come with getting old.or what is your point exactly. How many families can do all these conveniently?
wouldnt it be better if there was a system that paid their pension as at when due, reduced their health and transportation costs amongst other incentives to make getting old easier.
people are suffering because the necessary services are not provided and all you can say is people should take care of their parents.
smh

@op,please could you let us know how this works.that would be well appreciated.
Family / Re: How Should I Handle This? by tyosho: 7:29am On Sep 17, 2013
from my understanding of the op,i dont think the issue is his disregard of his wife"s opinions,His issue is with the way his wife responds to misunderstandings they have at home.Every couple differs on issues from time to time but its not fun when one half starts sulking non stop just because things didnt go their way this time.
I have a partner who does this too and it can be really frustrating.I like to resolve issues and move ahead quickly but my sweet darling can keep malice for Africa(and this he has agreed stems from his upbringing where his parents kept malice with each other REGULARLY for months at a go).I most certainly cant go beyond 2hrs so entering into a competition with him like some people here are suggesting would certainly produce one winner.Him.
What i do is still relate with him calmly like im not aware he"s sulking(minimal talk though),then i find a time when hes a bit settled and start "Darling what im trying to make you understand is -------,and we take it from there. Its not an instant transformation, but instead of our initial 3,4 days of silent treatment in the house, its now down to just a couple of hours of his sulking.

And of course,i pray about it behind the scene.
Try not to adopt this i can sulk too approach.Your kids are watching,if not now, tomorrow.

Please why should he pay for blackfaces" air fare?who go come pay for his visa, accomodation and feeding?tuface too abi?all this over dependency on other peoples" income in nigeria is a bad thing abeg.

esere826: i still dont understand why middle class Nigerians seek salvation from Indian hospitals

1)...is there a vibrant health supply chain in Nigeria that automatically exports our sick to India?
2)....granted that Nigeria is largely religious, is there a subtle hope that the mythical Indian mystisiscm might play a part in accelerating the healing process?

1)....Maybe yes.
2)....nothing mystic bout going there. They get the job done way cheaper than it would been in the US or Europe.I personally can attest to 3pple who have had successful major sugeries in India. Not sure all their hospitals are of same standard with the European ones. The emphasis here is they get the job done.

Donpuzo: Nigerians are very gullible people oh. Or should I say nairalanders.

First this guy said he had just 8 weeks to live, and yet he has been alive for over 4months since then.

I guess that can be understood.

What of the part where he collected over twice the money for the surgery and when Juliet Ibrahim in her wisdom and concern asked him to do it in India to save cost, was attacked my seeming OJB fans, yet after telling us he prefers it done in UK turns back and has it done in India.

YES he is sick! No he is not honest with Nigerians!

I totally agree with this post of yours.Theres nothing wrong with him staying true to the reasons he gave for soliciting for funds(ie operation has to be done by 8 weeks in the UK).Before that lady Juliet Ibrahim spoke,i too was of the opinion that his budget had been inflated and seeing how she was attacked after she spoke up,i kept on keeping my opinion to meself.
fast forward 8wks,hes gotten way more than he asked for and then goes to INDIA for the operation(at a much reduced cost no doubt).abi person wey wan do operation no go first carry out thorough and extensive research on options available to him? Please its time to start been truthful to one another in this country.Lets stop all this free him jor,how much did you contribute mindset and start demanding accountability from ourselves charity case or not.Such sentiments didnt come up when the RED CROSS was accused of being fraudulent in the handling of hurricane sandy last year.
Ojb should come out and say how he survived beyond the 8wks earlier given him and his reason for shifting to INDIA.He should not with his actions cast doubts on the integrity of people who might be needing help in future.

coogar: gloom & doom stories everyday of the week in nigeria. how many people die per day in our country?

in short ehn,you dont want to go there.no value is placed on human life in our great niger.soon now another petrol tanker will collapse and roast innocent bystanders. and these are the ones we hear of.
another cause of worry is that there are pple that can access the internet and believe it is okay make jokes out of matters like this.so what if he was sleeping with his mum?does that justify the judgement meted out to him?(sad thing?a lot of people seem to think so).

hello olumide,520k is indeed true.and to be honest i dont know why justwise is of the opinion that everyone here who posts office contacts is a potential scammer.i posted my email address,he deleted it.I then posted my office address,he went on to hide it.For crying out loud,i am an IATA registered agent,my office is in the middle of town and anyone can visit whenever they please.I have made friends with people i met here vie their email addresses and nobody has tried to scam me before.Besides please feel free to visit the property section and see contact nos and addresses of agents that help with different stages of house construction and testimonials of people that have done business successfully with them.I must say i definitely know where to go when mine begins before this year runs out by Gods' grace.
If people can make contacts and be blessed through their posts here on nairaland, why then are my entries treated with suspicion?
If there"s any evidence mr justwise would like me to provide to proove the genuiness of my business, please go ahead and request for it.

i dont know about you hating homosexuals. What i do know and is that Homosexuality is a sin because my Bible says it is(and im very content with what my bible says thank you). That been said,i dont hate them and understand its the ish they have to deal with. But because i understand with them on the principle of he without sin should cast the first stone doesnt been i support them or approve of its legalisation. If i support them,i might as well support a vice like gambling.
