joyuzo: No need for POF if gunning for the 189 visa. You only need proof of funds if going for 190 and even at that not all states demand it.Some states require it,some don't. It nothing to be worried about unless you're sure you skill is sponsored by a state that requires POF 4 Likes |

K Freece:With regards to question 2,if there's anyway she can get more than 65 points as an accountant/auditor she should pursue it with all zeal. The last 65 points accountant invited by 189 was around Oct/Nov last year. So there's a backlog from then and she's going to join the queue maybe Aug this year. I have had 70points as external auditor since February and NSW has not even looked at my side.I reassessed with ICAA as general accountant since June and still yet no invite(the first round of invite happened on 6th July and mostly 75pointers were invited). Even auditors there's no news about them been invited on that 6th.TBA is what Dibp put against the occupation as at 2days ago. I would suggest though that you assess with ICAA as they tend to be quite lenient and you can assess multiple occupations with them. They assesed me positive with only a first degree from a state university. I hear with CPA,you can only have one valid skill assessment with them.So if they assess you positive as auditor, you would need another body to assess you as accountant. |

@bellong, I'm asking on behalf of a friend. He studied chemical engineering for his Bsc and has Msc computer science. He has been in IT ever since(about 8years now) Do you think his Msc computer science from Unilag is enough to get a positive assesment from ACS? 1 Like |

Royat1: Yes it's possible. If your points can add up to 60 without experience, you can apply.Even if it's up to 55 points, you can request for state sponsorship to make it 60 2 Likes |

bellong: Company was a job he did during Nysc and shortly after. Not a lot of paperwork to provide as evidence. No Payslips or bank statements.Only a letter from the MD stating he worked there and appointment letter presently available. Although ICAA seemed satisfied with the little he provided and deemed the experience relevant |

Hello bellong,debsty,pingu2k5 and other gurus in the house, Quick question.Hubby was assesed based on his experience with two different companies. As at the time of his assesment lAst year,Company A gave him 1year and Company B gave him 4years totaling 5years and making him 10points. As it stands now,he's spent 5years with company B so he wants to remove Company A completely entirely from his EOI or mark it as non relevant on his EOI. What do you think?Could that give him issues when he's invited and now has a case officer? I hope my question is clear enough. |

Enizo: When I went to have my first baby in 2012,I was given just 3wks becos I failed to inform them I was pregnant. I applied for a four month extension and was given.I renewed my visa vie Dropbox a year later, wasn't called for an interview and still got my 2year visa.Exact same thing happened to a friend that travelled a couple of days after me. So fret not.Go online, read up on extending your I-94(or so).The most important thing though is your application MUST get to USCIS before the expiration of the 2months given to you. |

debsty:pingu2k5: Congrats! God bless her. Hello debsty, Pls I need you to confirm that my EOI application is fine.I applied for 190 with NSW since Oct 2015 but nothing yet. However I noticed you were asked to apply in less than a month after EOI submission. In my case It was the same EOI I used for both 189 and 190 application, selected NSW SS on the EOI and that's all. Pls is that correct?I don sit down for expat forum and different people have been talking about how they have been invited even though they applied after us.occupation is external auditor and we have 65points(with SS). |

L NNBB2012:Sorry it took a while to respond.Hubby studied accounting at a state university and finished with a 2.2.He presently works with an insurance organisation that examines the financial records of banks. His first assesment was with Vetassess as an internal auditor but he was given a negative mark. Next he tried with Icaa as an external auditor but it was noticed that at least one compulsory course was missing from the transcript he submitted! So he withdrew the assesment from Icaa and went back to his school to request for a new transcript. After about 6months,he got the new transcript and applied again to Icaa using his previous documents. P.s- he included his positive WES assesment this second time around.Hes a member of ACAA but he's not written any exams with them. This November makes his post nysc work experience 5years. |
