I'm not a politician nor a member of any party. Why do you "" have to comment on the event you're not familiar with. There's never been a really like this in the past since 1999 in Ondo state. Everywhere was filled, market was shut down, extreme gridlock everywhere. A lot of road diversion... The peak of the programme was at 1pm-3pm. Those pictures were taken before noon. I had to park my vehicle somewhere in the metropolis and take a bike to access major roads, yet no difference. Even when you trek, no much difference. It was so filled up. There were some other Campaign events by Motorcyclist (hundreds of cyclists) Association and other associations in other parts of the city that Tinubu himself didn't witness. So much money on the campaign. post=119809209: |
It's happening tomorrow at the Democracy Park. They've been setting up the park like a Qatari-Stadium model for a World Cup. I really wish I took pictures today. They've been on it for over a week. Working day and night; ordinary park turned pavilion. [quote author=trutharena post=119777261]Tinubu will be in Ondo State tomorrow for APC presidential campaign rally. A 46-year-old funeral home owner, Megan Hess based in Colorado, the United States has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on Tuesday for selling body parts. The woman who pleaded guilty to fraud in July, without the consent of the relatives of the dead, dissected 560 corpses and sold them, Reuters said on Wednesday. Hess managed a funeral home, Sunset Mesa, and a body parts entity, Donor Services, from the same building in Montrose, Colorado. She was handed a 20-year jail term in federal prison yesterday, the maximum allowed under the law. Also, her 69-year-old mother, Shirley Koch, also pleaded guilty to fraud and was sentenced to 15 years. Koch’s central role was chopping up the bodies, court records showed. “Hess and Koch used their funeral home at times to essentially steal bodies and body parts using fraudulent and forged donor forms,” prosecutor Tim Neff said in a court filing. “Hess and Koch’s conduct caused immense emotional pain for the families and next of kin.” The federal case was prompted by a 2016-2018 Reuters investigative series about the sale of body parts in the United States, a virtually unregulated industry. Former workers told Reuters that Hess and Koch conducted unauthorized dismemberments of bodies, and a few weeks after a 2018 story was published, the FBI raided the business. In their filing, prosecutors stressed the “macabre nature” of Hess’ scheme and described it as one of the most significant body parts cases in recent U.S. history. “This is the most emotionally draining case I have ever experienced on the bench,” US District Judge Christine M. Arguello said during Tuesday’s sentencing hearing in Grand Junction, Colorado. “It’s concerning to the court that defendant Hess refuses to assume any responsibility for her conduct.” The judge ordered that Hess and Koch be sent to prison immediately. Hess’ lawyer said she has been unfairly denigrated as a “witch,” a “monster” and a “ghoul,” when instead she is a “broken human being” whose conduct can be attributed to a traumatic brain injury at age 18. While Hess declined to speak to the judge, her mother, Koch told the judge she was sorry and accepted responsibility for her actions. Twenty-six victims described their horror at discovering what had happened to their loved ones. “Our sweet mother, they dismembered her,” Erin Smith said, selling her shoulders, knees and feet for profit. “We don’t even have a name for a crime this heinous". |

A trigger-happy Nigerian Army officer, Abubakar Idris, attached to the Presidential Guard Brigade, on Monday, opened fire on some motorcyclists in Abuja, killing a passenger on the spot. Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened around 1 am close to a bridge along Aguiyi Ironsi Way, Asokoro, where Idris and his colleagues were stationed for guard duty. Sources privy to the incident confirmed to our correspondent that the deceased was taken to the Asokoro District Hospital, Abuja, for an autopsy. One of the sources said, “It was a sad incident. The Army Brigade officers were on duty last night (Sunday/Monday) when Idris sighted some motorcyclists approaching them close to the bridge. “Officer Idris was trying to stop one of the bike men, who was carrying a passenger, but in the process he opened fire on them, killing the passenger immediately, while the bike man and other motorcyclists fled.” Another source revealed that the soldiers fled the scene, abandoning the corpse until the arrival of the police. He said, “Not long after it happened, the soldiers left the scene and abandoned the corpse. But police officers later got to the scene around 3 am. The corpse was taken to the Asokoro District Hospital for an autopsy.” The spokesperson for the brigade, Abakpa Godfrey, said he was not aware of the incident. Abakpa said, “I can’t comment on that for now. I was actually on a pass and I just got back to Abuja, so I am not aware of it.” SOURCE: https://punchng.com/presidential-brigade-soldier-fires-abuja-motorcyclists-kills-passenger/ |
Policemen attached to the Ajiwe Police Division, Ajah, Lagos State, regularly abuse alcohol which may be responsible for the increasing rate of extra-judicial killings by cops from the station. Investigations by PUNCH Metro showed that residents and business owners also observed the trend. According to them, the policemen are always under the influence of alcohol while on duty and on patrol. They said this might be responsible for the recent killing of a pregnant lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, by an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi, who was attached to the station. Two weeks earlier, an inspector, Imeh Johnson, attached to the same division, also shot dead another resident, Gafaru Buraimoh, who was on his way to buy fuel. When our correspondent visited the police station on Tuesday around 10am, some of the officers were seen clustered in pairs outside the premises. A closer observation revealed some of them consuming alcohol in sachets, while heavily armed. One of the two officers, who sat close to a barbing salon attached to a building beside the station, was seen with a glass cup of beer, which he sipped at intervals. A policeman among another set of officers who took cover under a shed adjacent to the station was seen drinking a canned alcohol drink with a pistol strapped to his waist. While some vendors found around the police station made some of the alcoholic drinks available within the officer’s reach, other officers stayed away from prying eyes by walking a distance to patronise other traders. After observing this for close to one hour, a fair-looking officer, who was earlier seen pacing around the corridor of the station, beckoned on our correspondent. Close contact with him showed that he was drunk, as his body reeked of alcohol. While this reporter thought he was about to be questioned about his presence around the police post, the policeman, who sounded incoherent, requested a sum of N200. Out of curiosity, the reporter gave him N1,000 in expectation of his balance. The officer immediately took him to a vendor, bought a sachet of alcoholic drink and gulped it on the spot, while the vendor provided the balance. PUNCH Metro also learnt that the police officers paid regular visits to some alcoholic vendors behind a motor park under the Ajah Bridge, where Raheem was shot dead. Our correspondent, who visited the spot and mingled with some of the street urchins, observed as they hailed some of the policemen, who came to patronise a female customer spotted at a corner under the bridge. A resident, Soliu Adekanmbi, said the officers were known for their open abuse of alcohol. He said, “The officers do things the way they like and nobody is checking them. It looks like nobody can confront them. Most of them are always with alcoholic packs while on duty. They drink them here under the bridge while in uniform. It is what everybody knows, but no one can say anything since the police authorities have done nothing about it.” Our correspondent also gathered that most of the policemen had spent a long time in the area and had refused to be transferred. A community development association chairman, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the issue, said this had contributed to their excesses in the community. He said, “Most of the police officers have turned this community into their permanent place. Most of them rise through the ranks to retire here. That is why they have become uncontrollable. Some have spent between 15 and 20 years in the station. Anytime a transfer comes, they manipulate it. They know who to settle. Even in Langbasa Police Station, there is one Supol Sunday and one Inspector Yomi and up to 10 of them who have spent up to those number of years. They do not want to leave the station because of pecuniary gains. When the first incident happened, they changed the DPO. But the one that happened on Sunday shows it is not about changing DPO but the policemen.” The Executive Director of the Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre, Okechukwu Nwanguma, said drinking on duty contravened the Police Act of 2020. He said, “The Police Act 2020 is very clear on the use of alcohol among police officers. It prohibits police officers from drinking alcohol while on duty. It also provides penalties for persons offering or selling alcohol to police officers on duty. Drug use and abuse among security agencies, including the police in Nigeria is very high. Police officers in uniform enter beer parlours with arms, sit and drink alcohol. This is prohibited under the law, but it has become a usual spectacle. “There is no other way to explain what has happened to the woman (Raheem) order than that the officer acted under the influence of alcohol, because how do you explain that a police officer would simply pull a trigger on a woman who was not armed? “One of the issues that came up after #EndSARS was the need to do a psychological evaluation of police officers, especially those who handle arms to be sure that they are mentally stable. But this did not happen. Even the recruitment procedures have been compromised. People who are unfit find their way into the police because the guideline for recruitment is circumvented. There is the need for a genuine commitment to implement reforms that address these problems, as well as competent leadership both at the level of the police and at the political level.” According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, it is an offence to drink on duty. He said, “If a police officer is drunk while on duty, it is a disciplinary offence and there are laid down procedures dealing with such a person. It is the duty of the DPO or any officer that discovers the same to bring him for disciplinary action." Source: https://punchng.com/ajah-policemen-caught-drinking-on-duty-abandon-work/ |
Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant (Public Communication) to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Phrank Shaibu, on Sunday accused the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, accusing of trying to ride to Aso Villa on treachery. He said contrary to the denial from Tinubu’s camp, the former Lagos State Governor indeed met with five aggrieved PDP governors in London. There were reports that Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Seyi Makinde (Oyo) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), met Tinubu in London. Tinubu’s media team has since denied the reports. But Shaibu, in a statement titled, “Tinubu wants to ride on treachery to the villa”, obtained by journalists in Abuja, insisted that the former governor of Lagos State met with the five PDP governors in London. He said, “I make bold to state that if the G-5 never met with Tinubu, Wike would have been the one to deny it. “Curiously, while the news of the meeting, which was reported by several credible media houses was trending, two spokesmen for the APC Presidential Campaign, Festus Keyamo and Femi Fani-Kayode took to social media to celebrate the support Tinubu would be getting from the G-5. He said it was funny that it took the Tinubu camp three days before denying the meeting, adding that it is “also awfully coincidental that the G-5 and Tinubu all decided to travel to London at the same time and depart at the same time with Tinubu proceeding to Saudi Arabia and the other governors returning to Nigeria.” He claimed that Tinubu decided to deny the meeting because “the details of the meeting are too messy and the APC candidates in the five states are fighting back. “All the G-5 governors are on the ballot except for Governor Wike and there is a fight back from the APC governorship and National Assembly candidates from the affected states where the G-5 Governors hold sway.” Source:https://punchng.com/atikus-aide-insists-tinubu-met-g-5-govs/ |
Bandits on Sunday, January 1, 2023, attacked the Kubwa area of the nation’s capital and reportedly abducted four persons. This followed the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s (retd), claim in his latest New Year’s message, that “the fight against banditry, kidnapping and other crimes in the North-West and other regions is gaining momentum and showing very clear results,” Our correspondent gathered that the armed bandits struck the Baipe area of the Kubwa community at about 2 am Sunday morning. Sources told our correspondent that four persons, all male, were reportedly abducted as the bandits escaped through the hills. One of the sources said, “They kidnapped four men; one of them is Yoruba, two are Igala, and the fourth one is Tiv.” Another source revealed that during the attack, one of the victims was stabbed in the chest in the presence of his pregnant wife. He said, “The Yoruba man was stabbed in the chest in the presence of his pregnant wife who was appealing that they spare him. But they took him away despite her pleas and money offer.” When contacted by our correspondent, FCT PPRO, Josephine Adeh, said the police would do its findings and revert. Adeh said, “We will confirm and get back to you, please.” The PUNCH reports that the New Year’s Day attack comes barely four weeks after bandits, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, killed two persons and abducted seven residents in the Kubwa Extension II Relocation Estate, along the Arab Road area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. This paper also exclusively reported that the bandits had demanded N160 million as a ransom for two female victims of the December 6, 2022 attack. However, two persons, a pastor (male) and an ex-corps member (female), that were among the kidnapped victims were freed five days later on Sunday, December 11, 2022, after an undisclosed sum was paid to the bandits as ransom. As 2022 gradually winds down in a few hours from now, ushering in 2023 with its huge promise, there is no sign the japa phenomenon that gained prominence in the outgoing year will abate soon. Instead, many Nigerians will inevitably ‘japa’, that is, seek to travel overseas for various reasons, ranging from education to business, vacation and work to complete relocation. This is not a new phenomenon. However, recent happenings in the country have resulted in a phenomenal upsurge in the japa syndrome, most especially among the youth, with complete relocation as the ultimate goal of many. Some youths have argued that the quality of education overseas is better than what is obtainable in the country. This may not be far from the truth if how education is funded and how the nation’s tertiary institutions are equipped, as well as the quality and conduct of teachers in our institutions, are put into consideration. A long-drawn strike by university lecturers under the aegis of the Academic Staff Union of Universities lasted for eight months, from February 14 to October 14, 2022. This is a loss of almost one academic year in the life of the Nigerian student! However, the experience in most education destinations abroad is that a student knows when their programme will end from the very beginning. In Nigeria, industrial actions have seen some four-year programmes span for as long as six years or even more. This is one of the reasons for the recent upsurge in the japa syndrome. The gloomy economic situation of the country is another reason for the upsurge of the japa syndrome in recent times. In a November 29, 2022 report by The PUNCH , the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors said the number of medical doctors in the country decreases daily, adding that only about 10,000 resident doctors are left. This has put pressure on those remaining in the sector. There have been several reports on brain drain in recent times, and this cuts across all sectors including health, education, tech, among others. The economic crisis in the country and poor management of resources have continued to contribute to this phenomenon. Another reason is the worsening insecurity in Nigeria. A Nigerian studying in the United Kingdom, Ben, said he would rather remain in the UK after his studies and do whatever job he finds, irrespective of how menial, than return and be kidnapped by bandits or killed by trigger-happy police officers. However, while everyone seeking to japa in order to pursue and actualise one ambition or another has a right to do so, there are a number of things one must know and do as one is preparing to japa in 2023 and beyond. Some of these things are herein discussed. Define your purpose Your purpose for seeking to emigrate will determine which destinations and/or visa routes are best for you. Several countries including the UK, the United States, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Germany, among others have different routes for different purposes. Available routes are education, skilled workers, health workers, tech, minister of religion, and permanent residency, among others. There is a visa attached to each route, and each visa comes with its own cost. Research Do not travel to a country you have not researched well. Many people have travelled to places without being prepared for what they would meet there. Some ended up being homeless as they were unable to secure a place, either because they could not pay the bills or because they could not meet the requirements for securing an accommodation. The UK, for instance, has a strict accommodation policy. The size of your family determines the size of accommodation you are allowed to get. A good research will help you to know the cost implications of the journey you are embarking upon before setting out. — Education If you are taking the education route, for example, it is important to understand the different ways you can approach it while preparing to japa. Education seems to be one of the easiest routes to relocation. Many have explored the route and many are still exploring it. Interestingly, the doors of many nations across the world are wide open to international students. One of the reasons for this may not be unconnected to the fact that many of these countries generate a chunk of their revenues from foreign students, and this helps boost their economy a great deal. If education is your chosen route, then, do a research on what is required, such as: Do you want to be self-sponsored? Which schools offer the programme you are interested in? How much does the programme cost in the schools you have identified? There are schools across the world, especially in the UK, Canada, Australia, the US and a host of others, that do not require or that waive the International English Language Test System result as a requirement for admission for Nigerians. A host of others accept a credit-level result in English in the West African Examination Council exam result, while some others exempt Master’s degree applicants that graduated from some universities in Nigeria. Still, some accept proof of English as a medium of study from the previous institution. Furthermore, while some institutions require payment of an application fee, some do not. Still, some accept a letter seeking a waiver of such application fees. Only a thorough research will help a japa hopeful to understand all these. How about scholarships? There are a number of scholarships that can be explored when considering taking the education route to japa. While some scholarships are fully funded, others provide recipients with a partial funding. A fully-funded scholarship sponsors the student’s education overseas by covering their tuition fees (in full), and providing stipends for living allowance. Many fully-funded scholarships also take care of the visa application fee and return ticket for their recipients. For most of fully-funded scholarships, especially the ones offered for study in the UK, no proof of funds is required during visa application. However, the recipient must do due diligence to understand the terms and conditions attached to each fully-funded scholarship. A number of them require that the recipient should return to their home countries at the end of their award. That’s bad news for someone whose intention is to japa. Some of the scholarships also do not allow their recipients to work while studying. Some scholarships with full funding include: the Commonwealth Masters Scholarship and Fellowship, the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, the Commonwealth Split-Site Scholarship, Chevening Scholarship, FulBright Scholarship, Mastercard Scholarship, among others. Besides, many institutions in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Finland, and so on, have scholarships advertised on their websites. There are also some programme-specific scholarships. Some of these scholarships can be full funding; some come in the form of studentships or assistantships; while some can be partial. Partial scholarships range from covering only the tuition fees in full with no stipends for maintenance, to providing some percentage of the tuition. An aspiring japa should therefore research well to know which suits their situation well. But, if you’re self-sponsored, get ready to be stretched. As a self-sponsored student, especially if you have no parents, uncle or someone you have the ‘small-girl-big- God’ relationship with, who is willing to sponsor you, note that it will cost you a lot of sacrifices to cope out there. You have only 20 hours weekly work allowance on your student visa, and, to be frank, that is not enough to cater to your school fees, house rent, bills, feeding and lifestyle needs. You won’t find it easy, but it is doable. — Other routes There are several other routes to japa, some of which have been stated earlier, but you must research well on which of them suits your situation best. Know your visa requirements and conditions Every visa has requirements as well as conditions attached to it. Visit the immigration website of the country you want to relocate to for proper understanding of the requirements and conditions of the various visa routes available. For example, with some visa routes, you can take your dependants along under certain conditions. With some, you cannot. Some visa routes allow for a smooth transition to another, while some do not. Acquaint yourself fully with these conditions and requirements. Culture shock is real You are travelling to another country, to live with people with a different culture from the one you’re used to. Get ready to adapt to some culture shock. A Nigerian student in the UK once said he was shocked when one of his professors politely stopped him from addressing him (professor) with his title but his first name. He said it was shocking because he knew what professors in Nigerian universities do if a student mistakenly addresses them as ‘Doctor’ instead of ‘Prof’. Moreover, what is culturally accepted in Nigeria may not be culturally accepted where you are relocating to, and vice versa. Beware of discriminating against people of different sexual orientations. Sexual orientations are openly flaunted overseas; do not be shocked to the extent of reacting ‘abnormally’ to the sight of a gay couple or transgender, for example. If your religion or culture is against them and you cannot stand their sight, stay in your country. Another culture shock you should prepare for is that most of the countries you seek to japa to do not live communal life as we do in Nigeria. You are likely going to be alone for a while, and loneliness may set in except if you’re travelling with your family. The weather of your new destination will also be shocking if you are not mentally and materially prepared for it. For example, in Scotland, there is a season when at about 4:00pm, the weather will be as dark as 10:00pm in Nigeria. And there is another season when 11:00pm weather will be as bright as 5:00pm Nigerian weather. An understanding of these changes will help you settle in well when you get to your destination. Racism is real Although there are claims that racism is not allowed in many European countries and the West, the day-to-day realities on the ground do not agree with these claims. Prepare mentally to be treated like a black man. There’s no ignorance in Law Before you japa, try to learn about some basic laws of your intended destination. Most of the countries you wish to relocate to are very strict with their laws, and, unlike Nigeria, you may not be able to easily wriggle your way out of an offence. From traffic laws to tax laws to other laws guiding daily interactions and work. If you disobey any, you may be required to pay a huge sum of money as fine or be jailed. Breaking some laws may result in deportation to Nigeria. Do not be ignorant of the Law. Not as rosy, not as thorny There are two extremes about the japa experience. While some paint a picture of an all-rosy, all-smooth experience, some paint a picture of an all-thorny, all-gloomy one. Both extremes may not be totally true. Relocation has its pros and cons. However, if you must japa, do it legitimately, choosing a route that best suits your needs and be ready to adapt to the changes and challenges that come with your choice. If you are eventually able to relocate and settle down, to sustain a comfortable lifestyle, you must be ready to work, work, work. Wale, a Nigerian who relocated to the UK recently, said, “In Nigeria, you get to build relationships, interact with people, and have time for your family. But here, it is work, work, work. I’m even tired.” So, as you make your resolutions for the new year, ensure you take heed to the above advisories if you have a plan to japa in 2023. |
The former U.S. president says the revelation will lead to "horrible things" for so many people. United States’ lawmakers Friday released Donald Trump’s tax returns after years of battle by the former president to keep his finances private. The Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives committee released Mr Trump’s redacted returns for 2015 through 2020, amid preparations for another run at the White House in 2024. The development has triggered reactions from Mr Trump , who criticised the lawmakers. The immediate past US president, who lost his re-election bid after serving a single term between 2017 and 2021, broke with tradition by refusing to release the tax records. Earlier in December, as part of investigations into the presidential audit programme, the House Ways and Means Committee released a summary of six years of filings, from 2015 to 2020. The documents showed that Mr Trump was not regularly audited by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and, despite reporting millions in earnings, he paid little in tax by claiming large business losses. The House Ways and Means Committee voted on December 20 to release all of Mr Trump’s 2015-2020 returns, ending a four-year battle between Democrats and the former president that eventually reached the Supreme Court. Summary Details of the returns showed that Mr Trump claimed enormous annual deficits and paid $1.1 million in federal taxes in 2018 and 2019, the middle two years of his presidency, after making around $30 million selling assets. The data released earlier showed that during the first three years of his presidency, Mr Trump paid $1.1 million in federal income taxes but paid no tax in 2020 as his income nosedived and he recorded massive losses. In his first year as president, Mr Trump paid $750 in federal income tax and reported $12.9 million in losses. Although details of Mr Trump’s tax returns have been made public, the new revelation detailing records from 2015 through 2020 raises concerns on whether the billionaire profited from tax policies he signed into law as president, most notably the 2017 Tax Cut and Jobs Act which provided a series of tax breaks and cuts for businesses and wealthy people. Last week, the House Committee said the IRS broke its own rules by not auditing Mr Trump for three out of four years he served as president. “Our findings turned out to be simple — IRS did not begin their mandatory audit of the former president until I made my initial request,” House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal said in a statement. A Reuters report quoted Mr Trump to have condemned the steps taken by the Democrats and Supreme court, the consequence of which he said will “…lead to horrible things for so many people.” “The great USA divide will now grow far worse. The Radical Left Democrats have weaponized everything, but remember, that is a dangerous two-way street!” he said in a statement. With the new revelation, Mr Trump’s tax data will now be available for analysis and investigations by journalists, tax experts and other concerned professionals in the United States and across the world during the run-up to the 2024 presidential election. Despite widespread reports that the G-5 Governors have struck a deal to support the All Progressives Party presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, an impeccable source in the APC campaign team, disclosed that negotiations are still ongoing. It has been reported that the G-5 Governors and Ahmed Bola Tinubu met in London over the 2023 presidency. The meeting outcome has been a subject of rumour in different quarters. Speaking in a telephone interview with DAILY on Friday, the source said Tinubu’s deal with the governors is pending further consultations with APC’s party structures in Rivers, Benue, Abia, Enugu and Oyo States. “Yes, a deal has been reached; however, negotiations are still going on; we have a formidable structure in all these states(Benue, Rivers, Oyo, Abia, Enugu), so we have to go back and consult this with structures. You know Bola Ahmed Tinubu is an experienced Politician; he wants to do further consultation on the matter”, the source stated. The G-5 governors are Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State. You can actually get pregnant even when ejaculation happens near not in your vaginal opening. Any vaginal mucus that’s around your vagina help sperm to swim into your vagina and all the way up to meet an egg. However, since you took contraceptive shortly after, you need not panic. Children need all of these from both father and mother. Domestic violence could be physical or emotional; both men and women experience it. We have heard of wives abandoning their matrimonial homes for selfish reasons but the trend is more common to men. In furtherance to this, wives should support their husbands and men should live up to expectations as required. |

From the picture you could see how poor the assessment of crime scene is in Nigeria where a violent crime was committed. The police line passing through the vehicles as against barricading people from getting close or touching the evidence.
