You should create a to-do list using stick notes while working in the office. It'll help your productivity. And once you're done with a particular task, you check it and move on to the next task. You should try that- it works.

I was called Pretty Boy because of my appearance.

chariisGRACE:
I was given 3 minutes grin

The reason was because:

Back then in GCDC, PH, we were taking a test of which I was the first to finish the test.

On submitting the answer sheet, I went back to my sit, brought out my notebook from my school bag to check if the answers I gave were correct.

After checking them, on returning the notebook, the teacher saw me, and he asked me to come out and kneel down (he taught that I was returning my 'intel chip') grin after which 6 strokes landed on my back with instructions that I must rewrite the test.

Lemme quote him.

"Go back to your sit, tear out a sheet of paper. I give you 3 MINUTES to submit..."

From that day...

How about you, how did it start? grin
CrimeViolation Of Owo Massacre Crime Scene by TyroneP(op): 6:07am On Jun 09, 2022
PERHAPS for the first time ever, suspected terrorists have attacked a place of worship in the Southern part of Nigeria. Since the August 6, 2018 attack on St. Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu in Anambra State was later linked to an alleged drug war, the manner in which the gun attack on St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo was carried out bore the imprints of earlier jihadist terror attacks on churches in the North.
Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers first detonated Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, and systematically shot at the fleeing worshippers. The death toll was put at 39 dead and undisclosed number injured.
Today in Nigeria, there are many terrorist outfits. These include Boko Haram, Islamic State in West Africa, ISWA; Ansaru and the various groups of herdsmen terrorists killing, kidnapping, rustling cattle and attacking communities to take over their lands throughout the country. The armed herdsmen are largely condoned by the Federal Government.
The first instinctive conclusion many drew was that the Owo church massacre was carried out by aggrieved Fulani herdsmen to get back at the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for his zero tolerance to open grazing by the herdsmen. Akeredolu, who is also the Chairman of the Southern Governors Forum and an enthusiastic facilitator of the South-West Security Network (Amotekun Corps), has also had a running battle with Fulani groups for insisting that armed herdsmen vacate Ondo forests.
With the foregoing in mind, it is dismaying that the emotion-laden family members and the public were allowed to freely roam around the crime scene which should immediately have been cordoned off by the security agencies.
In other climes, the police or investigative agents are quick to seal off such crime scenes to enable the specialists process them thoroughly and scientifically establish the basis for the accurate identification of the culprits.
The aimless crowding on the crime scene was bound to foul the work of investigators and probably allow the real perpetrators to escape justice.
What manner of training do our law enforcement agencies obtain if they cannot even carry out trite, elementary procedures towards effective law enforcement? Or could it be that these crime scene violations are deliberately allowed to happen to befuddle investigations?
We ask these questions because of the rampant allegations of collusion, condonation and facilitation of crime and terrorism often levelled at some rogue elements of the armed forces, police and security agencies.
It is high time we woke up to frontally tackle all the forces of terror and national destabilisation which have embedded themselves within our polity. Because they target innocent and unsuspecting sections of the public, no one is safe from them. Our law enforcement agencies must commit afresh to professional handling of investigations to effectively prevent and solve crimes.

CrimeBlasphemy: Mob Kills Vigilante In Abuja by TyroneP(op): 5:14pm On Jun 04, 2022
A mob on Saturday killed a member of a vigilance group for reportedly making a blasphemous statement.
It was gathered that members of the vigilance group guarding the Timber shed market at the Federal Housing Estate in Abuja had wanted to arrest some residents wandering around the market in the early hours of Saturday.
The residents were said to have begged the vigilance group to free them in the name of Allah but one of the vigilantes kicked and made comments said to be blasphemous.
A trader in the market who spoke to our correspondent in confidence said the vigilante was beaten and stoned before he was set ablaze.

Car TalkRe: Does Catalytic Converter Actually Reduces Fuel Consumption? by TyroneP(m): 7:27am On May 28, 2022
Dynamicboss:
Catalytic Converter reduces harmful emission such as hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide through redox reaction but DOESN'T reduce fuel consumption.

What reduces fuel consumption are; OEM standard for tyre air pressure, apply brake carefully, good 02 sensors, quality oil for engine maintenance, quality fuel, don't idle too long, don't throttle carelessly, When vehicle is on top speed, use AC, don't keep too much loads on your boot, don't drive too slow or too fast(with windows down) Etc...

Lalasticlala, mynd44, give this topic more views for discussion.
You're right...Aerodynamic drag is one of those things that increases fuel consumption. People drive at high speed with windows down forcing the engine to require more power to accelerate.

What should i do now?
She said since i dont have money and i cant give her sex, what is she doing in the relationship?
This is purely "situationship" and not relationship. She should be the one trying to discuss with you on how to check/provide solutions to it but I'm quite sure it's your lifestyle- your diet. You should call it off before she messes with your brain. You'll do just fine.

CrimeRe: Blasphemy: What Is The Position Of The Law? by TyroneP(m): 7:05am On May 16, 2022
Laws are relative in Nigeria. Criminal Law and Penal Code for the south and north respectively. What's the position of the Penal Code on blasphemy?
litigator:
In February 2006, Florence Chukwu, an English teacher in Bauchi State seized the Koran of one of her students that was reading the Koran while the English class was in progress in order to ensure that the student concentrate during class. For this professional conduct, a Muslim Mob was incited against her. During the riot that ensued, Florence Chukwu was murdered as well as 20 other Christians.

On 21st of March, 2007, a Muslim mob murdered one Mrs Christiana Oluwatoyin, a female teacher in Government Secondary School, Gombe. HER CRIME? She touched a bag allegedly containing a Koran, eventhough, she did not know that the bag contained a Koran. However, even without asking her, she was declared by the Muslim mob to have desecrated the Koran. Hence, Mrs Christiana Olwatoyin was murdered in cold blood.

In July 2016, the wife of a Deeper Life pastor told a Muslim man praying right at the front of her shop to move away as he was obstructing her customers. It should be noted that the the pastor's wife had repeatedly told the said Muslim man not to pray at the the front of HER SHOP. However, for some strange reason, he persisted. On this particular day, the lady insisted that he should leave and for this, he accused her of blasphemy, incited a mob against her and murdered her.

There are countless instances where these senseless riots and violence had been incited in Northern Nigeria. Shall I reference the religious riots and killings that took place in the North Nigeria, simply because a white man in one of the Scandinavian countries drew a cartoon of the prophet or shall I talk about the religious riots and the death of more than 200 of fellow Nigerans because of an article written in This Day News Paper when Silver Bird wanted to host Miss World Beauty Pegeant in Abuja.

Eventhough, I strongly condemn derogatory statements and jokes against the prophet as every reasonable person should, may I note that the responses of my Muslim countrymen engaged in this barbaric riots and murders be condemned and opposed especially, when compared with the responses of their Christian countrymen.

For example, on 27th February, 2013, Nasir El-Rufai stated via Twitter thus: "If Jesus criticizes Jonathan's govt, Maku/ Abati/ Okupe will say he (Jesus) slept with Mary Madgalene" yet Christians kept the peace.

During Easter of 2021, the CEO of Serling Bank named Abubakar Suleiman compared Jesus Christ to our local Agege Bread thus: "AGEGE BREAD, HE ROSE". The Christians' response to his comparison was captured in the Punch News Paper thus: "AGREE BREAD ADVERT: YOUR SINS FORGIVEN, CAN TELLS STERLING BANK".

This write-up is for two purposes, firstly, to beseech my Muslim colleagues on this platform, especially those from the North to speak up and condemn these barbaric, inhuman and unlawful killings and riots. Especially, in your religious forums where such are taught and encouraged. For I strongly believe that if these killings are to be stopped, enlightened minds such as you are, must be at the fore front of the discuss. Your Muslim brothers would rather listen to you on this matter than listen to a Christian. We all owe the duty of peace, law and order to our beloved nation Nigeria. Atiku Abubakar (Former VP) condemned the killing via Twitter and facebook, but immediately some youth in Sokoto State declared that they will not vote for him for castigating their action, he deleted the post both on twitter and facebook unless you choose to believe his weak excuse. It should not be said that we turned our back to critical issues such as this for personal gains or politics.

Secondly, if the report that the riotting youth of Sokoto were able to breach the perimeters of the Sultan's palace, who condemned their action and as a result, the Sultan had to flee his palace in the company of security escort because of the violent youth.

I am of the opinion that a sitting Governor or a President maybe chased out of his state by these religious mobs if we do not nip these barbaric actions in the board.

How did we become such a lawless nation?

But then, are Islamic injunctions superior to the provisions of the constitution?

Far from it.

The court has overtime sentenced those court in the acts of death. A very learnt Islamic scholar, now the CJN, had this to say in a decided case.

Good afternoon and Happy Sunday Nairalanders.

Ladies please oo, apart from me, who else Love listening to radio? Seriously my friends and family do tell me I have an old woman traits just because I love listening to radio and I'm still in my 20s undecided. I listen to radio on my phone with my earpiece, and I also have a rechargeable radio set.

My favorite radio stations are Raypower and wazobia fm. I know most of their radio presenters names, I do call, participate and contribute to any discussions. Some of the presenters recognizes my voice, once I'm lucky and they pick my call (their phone lines are always busy) the presenter would be like cynthia is that you? Next thing they will ring a bell to celebrate me (especially wazobia fm)...we'll all laugh and focus on the discussion.

Anytime I'm less busy I'm always on my radio, If we're going to church and my Dad is driving, I must turn on the radio in his car, he will jokingly say you this old woman reduce the volume of the radio, Infact he confirmed that I love listening to radio more than him. My brother don tire me sef, his room is just opposite my room, he's used to the sound of my radio.

If my friends were to describe me to a stranger, listening to radio would be part of their description. There are some news I would first listen to on radio before I come across it here on nairaland, I will just be smiling. I commend nairaland, they're also trying when it comes to news.

Truth be told. it gives me this joy and happiness that I'm contributing to matters arising and Nigerians are listening to me on air wherever they are.

Seriously, who else is like that? And when did listening to radio became an old person traits undecided??
It's a good thing you're listening to radio. It makes you more informative and if you do not know, you're educating yourself at the same time too. I listen to radio and watch documentary on Pay TV a lot than I watch movies or listening to music. It really improved me in all ramifications ranging from political, health, science, arts, educational discussions and lots more. Keep it up.

CrimeRe: Questions Every Sane Mind Should Ask About The Soldiers "Beheaded In Imo" by TyroneP(m):
Cosmatikka:
Where were the soldiers kịlled, why was the tribe of the soldiers mentioned by Nigeria unlike soldiers killed by Bandits?

Are They Setting Up Ground To Invade Igbo Land And Massacre More People? The news about the kị́lling of two Military officers is not clear. It is questionable. And I still don't know why people are not asking questions.

Questions like...

How did the kị́llers managed to spot this soldiers among many commuters?
Were they on their private car or public vehicle when they were caught and kị́lled? Where exactly were they kịlled?
Why is it that the report didn't answer that question?
Why say on their way to Imo State when you can mention where they were actually kịlled?
Was it inside Imo State or outside Imo State?
Were they on uniform?
Can someone that has been retired wear military uniforms while travelling?
Will a reasonable person still head to Imo wearing his military uniform with what is happening in Orlu?
How come the kị́llers were too fast to put a call through to the alleged family or friend and post it online? What point are they trying to make?
Are they trying to send out information?

Will IPOB really go after a soldier, kill him or her and make a video saying they did it. And even mention Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's name, when they know that same Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is facing terro-rism charges? Do you think they are this fo-olish or could it be that those believing this lie are the ones that are actually fo-olish?
Even if you don't like IPOB, I still know you can still reason properly.

These things are not adding up. Can't you see it? I think this two soldiers were expendables. One is that they have decided that they want to marry, and the military must at least retire one of them compulsorily. In fact, report say the male soldier have been retired. And this made them expendables. While not ha-rm them and accuse IPOB? After all they are no more in the military.

We have seen Boko Haram kị́ll soldiers and claim responsibility. No terro-rists in the world deny their actions. In all the soldiers kịlled by Boko Haram, Nigerịa military have never mentioned their tribe. So why did Nigerịa military mention the tribe of the slain soldiers? Could it be that it was planned just to achieve one thing. Demonize IPOB? And give room for massacre of Igbo youths?

Could it be that it was done to work on the minds of Igbo soldiers in Nigerịa military? The government know that invading Igbo land will cause uproar and bad blood among the Igbo soldiers in Nigerịa Army. So targeting an Igbo soldiers about to marry will get the Igbo in military annoyed. Meanwhile, an Igbo soldier have already started threatening IPOB online and the screenshot is flying on twitter. Should this be the case, then the plan worked and is still working. With the rate things are going, it seems the government after working on the minds of the Igbo soldiers will be using them against the kị́lling of their own people.

Probably, Igbo soldiers might be taking on ESN and for sure it will be Igbo people against themselves. I think a very high agency is behind the scene controlling events and playing everyone against each other. Southern soldiers were mainly used against Boko Haram and many of these southern soldiers perished. Today, the government is playing on the mindset of the Igbo soldiers so that they can go after their own people and kị́ll each other. What a game.

Now is the time to be vigilant. The government is not only using a dangerous campaign against IPOB, they are preparing ground for the mass-acre of Ndị Igbo. I strongly feel that a lot will start happening. But if you can raise this awareness, it might save lots of souls.

It is certain that IPOB did not kị́ll these soldiers. They were expendables used by the government to prove a dubi-ous point against IPOB.
I advise the government to use referendum to settle the problem of Biafra. Should they go offensive, Nigerịa will be the loser, for this fragile country can't survive a second civil wa-r. Referendum is peace. Finally, I condemn the barbarous killing of these soldiers. Such should not be happening.

It's a media report which might only constitute 10% or less of the investigation. It's a small region with big mouths and non-state actors(UGM). They'll definitely establish a nexus with other happenings which are not reported by the media but known to the security agencies.

CrimeRevealed: Are Criminals Born Or Made? - Nelson Sande by TyroneP(op):
Are Criminals Born or Made?

The society is riddled with crime. This is because the environment can only be enjoined in a secured form. Crime threatens peace, safety and security of lives and property as such members of the society will continue to live in fear when crime occurs, either in its non-violent form or sophisticated form. Crime represents the unknown and when this situation exists at a high level it causes anxiety and mortal terror among the citizenry. Example of this is what we are experiencing on daily basis in the country. Criminals derive mental satisfaction from their acts.
The statement 'Are criminal born, or made? is wide reaching and has remained the subject of many debates. Beginning several decades ago with social and criminal anthropologists wondering at causes of criminality and deliequency and set about to investigate them.
Most theorists at the time believed that it had to be deep-rooted traits, an innate tendency. Over the years that followed, many other sociologists and psychologists have tried to answer this complicated question with some staying on the side of biological causes such as heredity, and some looking further into environmental causes. There are many factor surrounding this arguments for both sides.
Evidence now also suggests that criminality is linked to economics and income inequilities. Glaser & Rise (1959) found unemployment to be a significant factor in property crime. They also found out that deliequency is inversely related to unemployment; that is, deliequency is high when unemployment is low and vice versa. They suggested that this might be due to the fact that in times of unemployment, parents were more available to their children. In furtherance to this, Block found in 1979 that it is young adults who are most likely to have criminal tendencies if they are also not employed.
It is therefore a very complex and ongoing argument whether criminals are born or made. Another study by Goring postulated that crime was neither by environment nor heredity, but as a result of an interaction between the two. A view held by many cirminologists today.
Modern studies and theories are much in favour of environmental causes of criminality which can be controlled or repressed.
Therefore, criminality is certainly not an innate tendency, but a lifestyle imposed upon certain individuals by their environment as a result of interaction with the environment.

Aside hookups, where in Nigeria can one find a good descent girl? Is it the church where most of them sleep with the choir master? Is it in the bank where they fvck their way to the top? Is it POS attendants that are low key hookup girls? Is it online where every single girl is a hook up girl? Is it in universities, again bunch of hookup girls. Please I’m serious, for men out there looking for a serious relationship..where can they find real girls and not gold diggers in Nigeria?
You're right about your assertions considering what's going on in our environment these days. But to be candid, are you a good man?

The answer is NO!!! But a man's spermatozoa can impregnate a dog.

Only a gorilla can impregnate a human
Humans can't be crossbreed with any animal. We share about 95% DNA sequence with chimpanzee yet it's not possible. You can read more about this.

You never see case .... Lmao..... please come to my village and try something like this, then you tell us that its our responsibility to come pick our daughter from the mortuary.... Am from ORLU LGA, IMO STATE..
Then you will know that even wife that you married legally, when she dies, whether she dies young or old, there are some requirements to be fulfilled before she is buried... If you want to help OP, tell him to go back to his MOTHER and KINSMEN and seek for wise counsel... because if the kasala burst finish, nobody on nairaland will save his ass or donate a dime to him. Nairaland gra gra will not solve anything or bury the dead..
Are all cultural practices good irrespective of the tribe? I want you to answer this honestly- ranging from drinking water used in bathing corpse and lots more?
Op stated in his post having demonstrated good faith by financing her healthcare by the virtue of sharing a love child with her and not kinship. He's still indebted to individual or groups. Let's be realistic about things and not cause him emotional or mental imbalance. Put yourself in his shoes and walk a while.

You seem to forget that you're dealing with Africans in Africa.

A convict is currently a Governor, Judges residence were raided, courts of coordinate jurisdiction give different judgments to different bidders, Orji Uzor is a free man today etc. I mentioned these cases to let you know that the family can DEAL with the OP and absolutely nothing will happen.

You can speak all the English language you want but if he dares steps into that village without doing what they told him to do, he might not live to tell the tale.

P.S Notifying them of the death doesn't rule out culpability.
The fact that she was sick was a public knowledge to the family. You should understand. These are issues I solve at work everyday. Everyone is spiritual in their own way and in their own cultural practices which gives room to relativism.
You don't relate civil wrong/matter with criminal matter. They're different things.
