All you people shouting that Lagos is developed because it was the capital are either babies born in the mid 90s at most OR ignorant adults in their 40s & above. Don’t forget that Calabar was also a capital of Sothern protectotate/Nigeria before. Can you compare Calabar to Lagos as former capitals?
Lagos stopped being capital since 1991! Before then Abuja as FCT was selected as capital in 1976. From 1976-1991, Abuja and Lagos shared investments the capital cities enjoyed. Trust the North to dedicate more resources to their Abuja over Lagos. Also Lagos was ruled mostly by military adminstrators who were very corrupt & did nothing too impressive to develop Lagos. Lagos before 1999 was a collection of mostly slums & shanties that then Col Marwa as MILAD bacame famous for cleaning it up a bit from 1996-1999. People (especially Lagosians) hated the look of Lagos prior to 1999.
If you compare Lagos pictorally before 1999 and Lagos now, you will realize the difference. Lagos is a beautiful location on its own but it was NEVER as beautiful as it is in the last 20 or so years. For the kids, check your parents old pictures to compare. There was a masterplan that Tinubu imposed which brought out the beauty of Lagos more. As much as I have no love for Tinubu, I cannot take this from him.

1. Calculate your current lifestyle cost if you live moderately, will half your current earnings make you comfortable? If not quitting right now is a bad move.
2. Can you double what you earn from that side hustle immediately you quit your day job? If so, quiting still carries a risk, but it is worth it.
3. If quitting wont fund your lifestyle moderately / adequately, I suggest you give yourself a 3-6months target of building your side hustle to earn better while you work and patientlly tolerate the harsh boss OR agressively look for a better job in that 3-6months while you tolerate this experience.

Nigeria is suicidally hard if you do not earn enough to support yourself, so think critically think about the pros and cons.

Hello guys.... I don't just know.. Is it just me or is there anything I don't understand......my parents are rich people especially my dad, I know that for sure... someone paying #950,000 naira per year as school fees for me aside other expenses, plus multiple houses and lands I can't even keep count of....

How come they are this stingy? There is no time I would ask them for money for my own personal well being or any of my personal needs that they would like to assist me. I once ask mum for #12,000 naira just to buy a fairly used android phone (when I know they can even afford me an iPhone x) but she told me I should wait till months end before she gives me saying there is no money on ground... it's five months now and still nothing (not waiting for it though)...

Then I ask my dad, he told me I don't need an android phone... telling me that phone makes people unserious and other types of bulls*it( a 19 year old student for that matter)

Any expenses that is not book or academic related is not important...my parents would rather buy clothes for me than give me money to buy clothes... sometimes I end up not wearing some of them..

The funniest part is that, anytime I take any urgent lie(Asin scam) about any payment in school...they wouldn't Waits a second to send it to me... This has got me telling all sorts of lies just to get what I know can be gotten honestly.. It has even gotten to the point that any money that enters my hand now, I use it to play sports betting to see if I can get enough money for what I need, but I end up loosing the money...I am just frustrated.. someone time I wish I didn't even have rich parents cos what's the point...
