Hamas cannot start a fight they are not fully prepared for and Palestinians start screaming that they are victims. Although, Isreal provoked them, by harassing Palestinians in the mosque, they should have been better prepared if they wanted to respond.

I think Hamas & the Palestinians underestimated the efficiency of the Israeli iron dome protection and the enormity of forceful kinetic response. There should come a point where you acknowledge defeat and stop the futile aggression.

What is happening to the Palestines is unfair. How do you accomodate a rejected group of people and these people turn around to take over your land? Nobody can bear such an experience without a fight. According to known records, the Canaanites were the original owners of that land, before Israelites wiped them out. Then the Romans took over the land, renamed it Palestine and displaced the Israelites. After the fall of the Roman empire, Arabs took over the land . But naively, the Arabs (Palestinians) decided to play 'my brother's keeper' by accomodating Jews that survived the carnage against them in Europe. These Jews became strong and via the support of diasporan Jews and their sypathizers in USA, they were able to displace the 'benevolent Palestinians'.

Sadly, this is the never ending dog eat dog story of mankind. We can be so cruel in our quest for self preservation and exploitation of one another.

"We are acting now, (and) for as long as necessary, to restore calm and quiet to you, Israel's citizens. It will take time," Netanyahu said in a televised address after meeting with his security cabinet.

The death toll in Gaza jumped to 192, including 58 children, its health ministry said, amid an intensive Israeli air and artillery barrage since the fighting erupted last Monday.

Ten people have been killed in Israel, including two children, Israeli authorities say.

i think the president planned to be gone for about 4weeks. The original plan was to be part of two occassions. The Africa Economic Conference (still holding) AND The France-Africa Summit planned for early June (postponed to October). It took the outburst of Nigerians to change the travel plan to 4days instead of 4weeks originally planned. The presidency apparently missed the postponed occassion.

The president MAY spend more than his 4days itenerary- we hear he needs to see his doctors again!

What has a man's legally and scripturally acceptable sexual and marital choices have to do with his permission to criticize a bad president? In my opinion, the Bible’s tone towards concubinage and polygyny changed after the writers were aggressively exposed to Roman mainstream tradition of monogamy. (Rome was the colonizer of Israel at that time). It is similar to how our traditional world-view has changed since the British colonized Africa. This is not to say that monogamy was not encouraged too. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did not just pursue criminalizing polygyny. He was more interested in the heart of the human being and the devotion to his or her Maker.
