It becomes a different ball game, when you put "Mrs" behind that name.
That signifies you are married to a Man called by that name and the man is your husband.
If the above is false, as it becomes after divorce, then you can be charged for impersonation or identity theft.

"Mrs." is not somebody's name and no one can claim it, just by itself, as their name, .... it is a Title conferred by Marriage, to some Man.

Everyone should answer their papa name after a divorce. There is nothing misogynistic about that. I don’t think Dangote or Otedola’s daughters will struggle to keep a martial name in the event of a divorce.

In Mo’s case, she created a brand from her marital name. That brand is registered legally, that is why she won. The ‘brand name’ won not Mo. if you acquired the name by legal marriage, why should you keep it when that legal union gets dissolved? If you have any financial claim in the marriage, you can seek legal means to acquire that claim. Retaining your marital name is of no effect in future benefits from a dissolved marriage.
A woman who has a name worth volumes will not struggle to keep somone else’s.

It only makes logical sense. The kids have nothing to do with the name chage that should come with severing the legal bond you have with your ex spouse.
If the man doesn’t mind, there is no issues, but if he does... why not? If you ain’t still obsessed with the man, you should gladly do a name change back to your maiden name. That makes the divorce a clean cut.
