FamilyRe: Do Women Still Bear Their Husbands' Names After A Divorce? by Tzar(m): 5:15pm On May 13, 2021
I honestly didn’t understand a thing you wrote too.
As per being confused, I do not think I am. Maybe you didn’t understand me too (you don’t have to).
Unless you are divorced like I am, I wrote from the point of experience.
Most men mind, but some just choose to let sleeping dogs lie as usual. The man gave her his surname through marriage, why should she keep it after the marriage ends?
The men who do not ask for name change are just avoiding the bitter response they will usually get from most women that are always ready to fight dirty after a divorce.

smallsmall:
You dont know what you are saying or you are just confused.
The issue is not about whether anyone cannot bear any name, that one is given.
It becomes a different ball game, when you put "Mrs" behind that name.
That signifies you are married to a Man called by that name and the man is your husband.
If the above is false, as it becomes after divorce, then you can be charged for impersonation or identity theft.

"Mrs." is not somebody's name and no one can claim it, just by itself, as their name, .... it is a Title conferred by Marriage, to some Man.

So, the people bent on misgovernance and corruption in politics / civil service DO NOT want Nigeria to break up?
Those who have impoverished the people and weaponized corruption and backwardness DO NOT want Nigeria to break up?
Those who perpetrate bigotry and lopsided benefits to only a section of Nigeria in this government DO NOT want Nigeria to break up?

BUT in your little dark but old mind you assert that those who report the rubbish that Nigeria has become are the ones who want Nigeria to break up abi?

But most Biafrans online & offline see Yorubas as their mortal enemies & they demonstrate this belief with vigor. Unfortunately, Yorubas have fully reciprocated the gesture almost irreparably.

RomanceRe: Why Do People Fear Pregnancy, But Not Sex? by Tzar(m): 6:17pm On May 10, 2021
Why do you fear DIABETES, but not eating ice-cream?!
Xenry:
Why do people fear pregnancy, but not séx? Have you ever been afraid of impregnating a girl, during séx? Like, what will you do if the condom bursts? Have u ever thought of that? Is it even worth the risk? What will you do if you impregnates someone today?
I'm just curious, because abortion is not actually the way out, it's risky and could end someone's life. On the other hand, you may not be up to the responsibilities that comes with becoming a father. Your parents may even disown you if they hear such news...
So what will you do if you impregnates a girl tommorow, how will you go about it? Let's hear from you. As for me, I won't even know what to do. It will be a very terrifying situation... lipsrsealed

Mr. vengeful tenant, you are absolutely right to report your landlord. Such people will hypocritically scream how corrupt Nigerian politicians are, but they also steal whatever they can at every little opportunity.
I cannot also hide my observation that you only got this "righteous" after you got an unwanted eviction notice. I bet if the landlord allowed you owe him endlessly and/or did not give you an eviction notice, you won't bother to report o.

This our fake Aareonakankanfo is becoming annoyingly political and trying too hard to be politically correct.
GANI ADAMS! WE ARE ALREADY AT WAR! WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLEEP YOU FAT Bleep!
Oponu Aare, the war began when criminal Fulanis started abducting, raping, killing and evicting Yorubas in their ancestral homes and their 'non-violent' fulani brethren kept mute or cheered them on. If you played your role, Sunday Igboho will never have been heard.

Nigerians love titles and positions, but they are so unwilling to take the responsibilities of the position.
Christianity EtcRe: Satan Lied When He Claimed The Kingdoms Of The World Were His by Tzar(m): 3:00pm On May 09, 2021
If you love your eternity, you better stop trying to rationalize Scripture and who owns the world. Jesus did not refute the claim of satan about who rules the world, because He clearly knows the truth. He only neutralized santan's bait to get Jesus to bow down to him.
Scripture abound about how our rulership is not of this world. When you understand this, you will find it easy to let go of the desire to contend with those who have TEMPORARY rulership of this transient world.

So, because you think everyone is a crook and hypocrite, they don't deserve to demand for good governance?
At least, they didn't plead and CRY like Bubu to be given the chance to rule and do better. As long as politicians and civil servants chose without compulsion to hold office and lead, every Nigerian regardless of moral standing has a right to demand good leadership and returns on the trust and goodwill given to them. If they can't deliver, they should leave the bloody office for Pete's sake!

Greatness is not just mouthed, it MUST be demonstrated. So far Nigeria has not demonstrated greatness, it has only mouthed it. Scarce resources in the hands of a prodigal child demands harsh consequences... Nigeria is a prodigal child with very scarce resources in her care.

School analogy is not the same as country/nationstate analogy

You believe whites are superior to blacks and need to hang around to guide and direct them black babies. I am free to call that idea bunkum. I am also free to believe that we can and have great potential to grow without any additional guidance from the europeans, arabs, asians, or other africans for that matter.

And the best way to do that is simple. Work within the system

FamilyRe: Do Women Still Bear Their Husbands' Names After A Divorce? by Tzar(m): 11:49am On May 08, 2021
The condition that made it legally her name ( marriage to me) no longer exists.

Well it was a short marriage (6yrs) been divorced for another 6yrs.

Retaining my name can mislead the public. Unscrupulous people can also use the retained marital name in ways the owner of the name by birth do not want.

Imagine if the ex spouse becomes a IndecentStar, a murderer or a terrorist? The maiden name is saved and the marital name becomes soiled.
Everyone should answer their papa name after a divorce. There is nothing misogynistic about that. I don’t think Dangote or Otedola’s daughters will struggle to keep a martial name in the event of a divorce.

There is nothing wrong in letting kids understand the concept of divorce. Relationships shouldn’t be by force. Even God wont force you into a relationship with HIM.

9jaRealist:
It’s HER PERSONAL CHOICE...

You couldn’t have compelled her to...
Once taken, it legally becomes HER NAME.

PS: If you have kids, why wouldn’t you want to share the same surname?
It’s egoistic (or simply misogynistic) to think it’s all about you. But likely you had a relatively short marriage.

FamilyRe: Do Women Still Bear Their Husbands' Names After A Divorce? by Tzar(m): 8:17am On May 08, 2021
Like iI said if the man doesn’t mind and you feel keeping the name benefits you, there is no law that restricts you... if the name isn’t copyrighted by the man. In Mo’s case, she created a brand from her marital name. That brand is registered legally, that is why she won. The ‘brand name’ won not Mo. I am talking in terms of social context not commercial context. It is a proper thing to do after a divorce.
if you acquired the name by legal marriage, why should you keep it when that legal union gets dissolved? If you have any financial claim in the marriage, you can seek legal means to acquire that claim. Retaining your marital name is of no effect in future benefits from a dissolved marriage.
A woman who has a name worth volumes will not struggle to keep somone else’s.

sisisioge:
Your ex probably had no investment on the name hence the reason she let go at your request as she honestly has no obligation under the law to do so. Take Mo Abudu for example, her ex even sued her at a point to stop using his name but she won in court. The name was hers to keep as she had been known with the name....imagine her changing to Mo Whatever now just because the husband says so...will he buy her brand identity, goodwill, age, popularity, etc back?

If she has no real attachment to it na to leave the name jejely jare. As for me, if I ever find myself divorced from my husband, we have kids together and I have no plans to remarry, I will probably hold on to the name. Why will I be Wura Adediwura when my kid is Ifeolua Adedayo? We sha remain Adedayo together biko.
FamilyRe: Do Women Still Bear Their Husbands' Names After A Divorce? by Tzar(m): 6:10am On May 08, 2021
I disagree with you. I am divorced and my ex wife has changed her name back to her maiden name as requested by me.
It only makes logical sense. The kids have nothing to do with the name chage that should come with severing the legal bond you have with your ex spouse.
If the man doesn’t mind, there is no issues, but if he does... why not? If you ain’t still obsessed with the man, you should gladly do a name change back to your maiden name. That makes the divorce a clean cut.

9jaRealist:
Has NOTHING to do with “getting under the skin” of some dude you are leaving - that’s just MISOGYNISTIC thinking...
The name and marriage is part and parcel of your life, and if you have kids with the dude you will all be sharing the SAME surname.

FamilyRe: Do Women Still Bear Their Husbands' Names After A Divorce? by Tzar(m): 5:48am On May 08, 2021
Ideally? No, the woman simply does a name change just like she diid when she was married and wanted to change her maiden name.
But, technically you can if you want to get under the skin of the man. Since he doesn’t have copyright to the name, you can officially file for a name change to his surname...
