Most Arabs see other races (apart from Caucasians) as slaves ...even in this 21st century. Sadly these other races help buttress this horrible narrative with bad governance in their home countries. |
I love this! I'm sure most of these pledges will be redeemed. Unlike the audio promises we get in Nigeria (in government & private life). |
The problem isn't that she gave sex advice. Sexual talk & other mediocre interests has totally drowned intellectually sound and progressive discussions. My challenge is majority of Nigerian Youths have become so shallow and myopic is their thinking. |
Sanwo Olu! You better get to work now before Lagosians send thunder to you. |
Nigerians deserve the leaders they get. As long as we keep being bad leaders in our little or large spaces, we will continue to get these kleptomaniacs and/or clowns as leaders. |

Why is everyone so sympathetic. How many of d pple dat hv replied have/intend to gone/go 4 HIV test. we are so quick 2 be sympathetic without knowing our status. Yes, I am yet 2 get tested too. I plan 2 go b4 d end of this year. I am educating myself and preparing my psyche 4 whatever d outcome is.I think its high time we started getting tested. As there is a way out now! Coloba, u r towing d right line. Trust in God, he can do it. Also, eat good food and immune boosting foods like omega (Fish) oils, yogurt, amino acids, red meat (moderately), fruits etc. U maynt need retro viral drugs 4 a long while. Being positive isnt a death sentence. It is just a wake up call. Also, get registered with a govt hospital or LASACA / NACHA to enjoy free retro viral drugs. Treat every ailment promptly and always complete ur dose of treatment. Live a healthy life and exercise regularly. try not 2 think about it- meditation helps. U can focus on healing verses in d Bible by repeating it aloud 2 urself as often as possible. Or repeat aloud regularly as many as 1000 or more times a day "everyday in every way I am getting better and better" I got 2 know dat 10% of those who test +ve may never manifest AIDS, also with proper use of ur retro viral drug, u can live ur full years. Avoid having indiscriminate sex as this can cause other HIV viruses to combine with d existing one , thus making it more resistant to treatment. Diplomatically tell ur fiancee 2 get tested too. If she is +ve, u guys can get married & have HIV -ve children via specialist doctors dat can assist. If she is -ve I think u shouldnt tell her. Just break up wit her in a civil way. B/c of the exposure of most pple the less pple u tell d better 4 u. This is to protect ur complex and psyche. If she is -ve & u have difficulty abstaining 4rm sex totally, seek anoda HIV +ve girl 4rm some of d grps forming now 4 marriage. U'll get dem in churches and hospitals. I hope I have been of help. Good Luck. |
Please those who have gone thru d process should tell us d modalities and kind of questions. I'll be going 2mropw cos I was late 2day. |
@dippy, u r d real thing. some nigerians can just be as wack as wack can be . @ AdeCisco listen 2 only dippy. odas r just typical yap yap humans. try hi5.com, i know a lot of guys dat have testimonies. Goodluck ![]() |
Dont forget they'll call u 4 d nxt stage based on your score. They said there is no guarantee. Please don't call me a kill joy. Yes it will be on your computer knowledge. Then we'll go for the main interveiw. Goodluck. |

@ escada, full time is 2 yrs & part-time is between 15-18 mnths. |
@ escada, yes u can get a place @ LBS MBA if u can pass their entrance exam/ have a very high GMAT score. Pease dont 4get dat u may hav to cough out about 1.3 million naira. Cheers. |
@ nnowu, shegewumi & easylife I think I am in a very good position to offer advice. If u wanna b a career/executive person, an MBA is way better dan an MSc. D bad part is that an MBA is more difficult 2 secure admission in Nigeria. NUC in its efforts to upgrade and restructure MBA programmes in all UNI's in d county presented dis shockers: A huge number of MBA's were disaccredited/scrapped. As a result, the few MBA dat survived will increase tuition 4rm nxt session averagely u should hav 200,000 min 2 get an MBA, but now, u may hav 2 cough out at least 350,000 4 d most inexpensive MBA. D NUC just hinted dat u'll hv 2 get 70% in the entrance examination (full or part-time) unlike 50-60% DAT OBTAINED B4. Wn u finally get admission, there are speculations that the pass mark is no longer 40% but 50% if u dont want references, Lastly full-time MBA's may no longer b 15-18mnths but 2 yrs & part-time will no longer b 2yrs but 3 yrs. U.I requires that u hv 5 yrs mgt experience & as at 2005 u'll hv 2 cough out 180,000/ session, Dy may ask u 2 pay more now. there r oda sch's like FUTA, FUTO, UNILAG, OOU, ABU dat just only ask 4 0-2yrs ordinary experience 4 bachelors holders and 2-5yrs ordinary experience 4 HND holders. If any of the above constitute any form of obstacle i'll advice dat u do ur MSC. a PG degree is better than having none at all. a BAchelors has become basic education- every tom, dick and harry has it. D earlier u do it d better. Entrance is becoming more dreadful as I hav hinted above d earlier d better. My firends just paid 105,000 to obtain their MBA in Futa, I am paying 160,000 to obatain mine. It will definitely become hiher by nxt session. MSc's will soon follow suit. I remember dat an MSc in U.I, OAU and UNIJOS will cost u 9,000 in 2001/2002, now it costs a minimum of 60,000. Who knows what next. 4 MSc i will nt advise dat u go 2 u.I too. u wil use 18mnths. Why not go 2 LASU and spend just 1yr. I had my bachelors in U.I and I will round off my MBA in FUTA by May, 2007. I hope dat i hav been helpful in any way. . There r oda Fed Uni's dat offer d same programme but each has different requirements(the differnce may not b drammatic) and different duration. CIAO |

There's no doubt that 2006 was the yr of d bull. Most equities in the yr gave investors the thrill of their lives. However, the question is , will this trend spill over into 2007? For me, I think 90% of the equities that did PPs, IPOs and POs have a good chance of recording significant capital growth. I feel this will happen as a result of the effort by these companies to fulfill their promises to d investing public. This will depend on the 1st and 2nd quarter performances of these companies. Generally speaking, the fact that not just a few but several will give rise to a competition to perform. Other companies will definitely want a share in all these. This will lead to a continued bullish trend. I have to say here that a bullish market can disappear as fast as it appeared. Nonetheless, it can also linger on stubbornly. we the investor must be as shrewd and discerning as possible, so that we can bail out pronto. |
If u hv decided to earn a Nigerian degree, this is food for thot: I attended U.I for my 1st degree and spent 5 years earning a 2:2 that did not make me fair better than other graduates that went to schools rated lower than U.I. Worse still, I have a friend that went to UNAD for his 1st degree and MBA (those who know the school are aware of how he may have got the degrees) he works for a FMCG org. and earns one of the best salaries around. A friend of mine also has an MBA marketing from OOU, he now works for NOKIA in Nigeria, he sometimes nets 400000 monthly (salary+commission). Most of my friends in good banks and companies like guinness, Celtel, Glo et cetera, have FUTA MBA and are doing very well. Whence, I resolved that instead of going to UNILAG to pay through my nose (380,000), or U.I where I'm required to have 5yrs mgt experience and pay 180,000/session., or OAU where I may not graduate in 4yrs doing a masters, I will rather go to FUTA to pay 150,000for the entire programme. Believe me, I feel fulfilled because I believe i am truely earning a degree. After working for about 2 years (in Nigeria), I discovered that employers don't give 2 shits about any Nigerian university degree you have. As long as you have a good grade -2:1 and preferably a 1st class- or PG degree that you can defend. I have a friend that had to pay 30,000 naira to get a 2:1 Business Administration in UNAD . Although he paid to get it, he is naturally intelligent, so he defended it and got a very lucrative job in a leading bank. Mind you if you don't pay, you get dropped to a 2:2 (he told me that). My conclusion/advice is that as long as you want to work here in Nigeria and you aint going abroad for an MBA or a good M.Sc, then ANY university in Nigeria will do to obtain an MBA. |
To start with, if you are going abroad for ur PG degree, I advice u go 4 an MBA ($25000/15000 pounds). However if money contraints arise, opt 4 ur M.SC abroad, especially if u hv to chose between an M.Sc abroad and MBA/M.Sc in Nigeria. This is because Nigerian employers will kill 4 ANY relevant degree that comes 4rm outside Nigeria. I u r considering a Nigerian degree, well my advice is that u should go 4 an MBA. I assume that u were refering to an M.Sc in a science based discipline. Frankly, Nigeria is turning out to be a service economy. all the R&D, production, and other technical stuff is either done by expartriates or imported 4rm abroad. The sector that is really booming is tha service sector, there is nothing going on in the real sector. what they use scientists like you for is to manage people and products that others have developed. Even if you get a job that will let u practise, u will later on be asked to go and earn an MBA. Why not do it now. Also an MBA will not only widen you chances of getting a good job, you can also negotiate better pay. the current labour market trend is for employer to see MBA as an added/better advantage over any other degree/ M.Sc . Why not give urself that leverage. However, I will advise that you do |
I am compelled to respond to this thread. I think that we should add our ages to this poll. I'm single, 25+yrs, MBA student and ready to start a serious relationship- or possibly get married to a serious and interesting girl. Most nigerian girls r actually boring. They wait 4 the guy 2 pay the bills, spice the relationship, ignite the bed , et cetera. I stand to be corrected. ![]() |
Thanks for this effort to secure employment for nigerians. I have a B.A Philosophy (2.2) University of Ibadan. I'm currently studing for an MBA in FUTA, Nigeria. I'll earn my MBA in June, 2007. I hope to write IATA/UFTAA exams in March 2007. I intend to build a career in logistics/protocol and or aviation/travel and tourism. What are my chances of getting employed in the U.K. Somebody can U assist? I'll gladly take any admin/HR job. |
I am totally tempted to respond to this controversy. Well, as to the partiality of God, one can say that He is partial if one veiws it from the human point of veiw (come to think of it we are all human!!) ![]() Like a respondent wrote this is one of the major questions that we must ask God. If you say God has a right to give as he pleases, then what is the use of human freedom and equality. How can we explain the fact that we are all going to be judged with the same yardsticks, but aren't given the same opportunities? This is not to celebrate human rebellion. Humans have no choice but to do as God wishes, we all know the effect of disobidience. A French philosopher said man was born free but everywhere he is in chains. I totally disagree. We are all born chained to the conditions that we find ourselves. To whom much is given , Humans are given the illusion of choice. What is the use of choice when it is between alternatives one is not particularly crazy about. For most people, life is like having to choose between two or more dictators in an election. Sinning is very 'sweet' but you cant do it if you want to go to heaven. The choice we have are the ones God presents to us. I have since accepted the predicament of man. I have chosen God not because I am totally taken about His ways of doing thing, but because I prefer the effects of being on His side. I know people who ask, what if there is no God? I ask them, what have you got to loose if you assume that there is? Come to think of it, at the end of everything, if there really isnt any God, you wont loose anything. If there is, you still wont loose anything but you'll gain a lot. But if you didnt believe that there was God and He's waiting for you on the other side, I leave you to imagine the consequences. |
I'm TZAR, I have a B.A (Philosophy) 2002; and will round off my MBA (General) in May 2007. I will love to work in the telecommunications, oil and gas, banking or aviation sectors. |
