The have not even delivered the ID cards after 5 years and have already set cost for renewal ? What is it even being renewed for
Bro, I taya o. I was even thinking maybe people have started collecting it when Payoneer made a reference to an NIMC card by MasterCard. Obviously, no show yet.

It's scary, from the statement by the official, that these people are only interested in making money off us.

It still beats me that a National ID card would carry an expiration date. Yet, as someone pointed out, the voter's card has no such date. Perhaps, the collaboration with MasterCard is responsible for this.

HolySanctus:
The 5,000 is exclusive of

1. Police report N4k
2. Court avidavit N3k
3. LGA identification N3k
4. Miscellaneous 2.5K
Miscellaneous could possibly be up to 50k or even more. grin

You may have to travel and even pay for accommodation to get LGA identification. This country ehn. undecided

I'm curious: how will he deal with the phone number aspect? Or is it advisable to use a Nigerian number?

The so-called free US phone number apps, at least the ones I have seen, either don't allow Nigerians, charge fees, or do some other thing to frustrate one from getting a phone number.

In my little experience, I think BIN works better for domains the buyers won't have to 'break a bank' to make the purchase, some will still go ahead to make their offer despite having a BIN in place. Again, with BIN, you've somewhat placed a ceiling on the price, can't be higher.

BIN in my opinion would better promote sales conversations
Thanks, bro.

I think geo domain names fall in the category of those that won't require breaking a bank, right?

I don't know about that, but there's now an option that allows you withdraw earned funds into your local bank without necessarily needing/using the payoneer card.
There's something I don't get, please. Do you receive your payments via Payoneer using the US Payment Service?

The reason I asked was that the money I received back when I used Payoneer actively did not usually reflect in my account balance until I load to my card. It's only then that it will reflect.

How is it possible to withdraw something that hasn't reflected to local bank account is what I don't understand. huh

Consistency is the key, you can't do well if you jump from one endeavor to another. Get something doing and be good at it. It is about working and praying.

Yeah, freelancing is a great way to establish financial independence, but it requires hard work and almost no social life. A traditional job with an employer may not be great, but it at least helps pay the bills while you transition to financial independence. People criticize ordinary jobs, but it seems to me they are mentally easier than owning your own business. There seems to be a trade-off between financial independence and being stress-free.
I'd agree that traditional jobs are better. But where are they?

Buying wood from the locals and selling to these Chinese guys gave me millions. You can always make half a million after every deal. but its a stressful business but it pays. this same business turned me to a traveller, I tour the whole Nigeria, lost me gf due to distance. could teach anybody that would like to learn, I need a partner in the business too I need to expand

I got my dollar payment changed and received in naira in my Access bank account. I'm not using payoneer card to do withdrawals, so $3.15 atm withdraw fee doesn't apply.
Now, I understand. But how do you do that? Can you transfer money that's already loaded on your card to a local bank account?

@iykepromotions, saw the screenshot of your monster sale in December on another thread. You're the man!

Inside life. grin You know I wonder how some folks in NIGERIA supposedly make that much, especially writing content.

This isn't regular work. It's bid and work, if you win. Then, there are all the charges to deal with as well.

Hey! He asked how much they charge when purchasing a domain, which I replied N366

And Access bank actually pays N340 when you're receiving. I was paid at the rate of N340 just last week via Payoneer platform.
Sorry, did you arrive at that rate after adding the $3.15 ATM withdrawal fee or it's exclusive of it?

Access bank N366 per $
Thanks for the heads-up.

These Zenith folks are just exploitative. Access Bank also offered (or offers) a better rate when withdrawing USD via their ATMs.

Ramon92:
Listed some domains on Afternic a few weeks back and I discovered they've been on pending review since.

Customer care doesn't seem to be responding. Who's experienced this and how can it be resolved?
That's one of the problems I have with Afternic. In fact, after finally listing names, they sometimes switch them back to 'not listed' status and you will not know until when next you log in. I have repeatedly asked why this happens, but they always ignored that question.

How I wish there's a better alternative.
