1. Yes, it's called Vantage Guaranteed Income Fund- VGIF
2. To indicate me as a referrer you will need to click the link on my signature to open the account for VGIF. my contact is also on my signature
Are you really sure that VGIF gives a fixed income? I saw somewhere on this thread where you mentioned the rate was 11.xx%. But I saw 15.xx% in the morning on the Investment-One's website. How does that work?

Yes, I can open an account online ONLY if I won't need to submit my documents online. You may point me to steps for opening the account, though, to see if it's one I can follow through.

Thanks.

To start with, please note: if you invest in any mutual fund you did not actually invest in the funds manager’s firm.
e.g if you invest in Abacus money market fund, you did not invest in Investment One as a firm but rather it’s a collective fund (Abacus with the underlying assets- Tbills. You invested in
To be sure your funds are safe, we have the custodian which usually is a MDB to hold the funds
Then Trustees who make sure the fund managers sticks to the investment objectives and they always form part of the signatory to the funds account, hence you have FBN MMF/INVESTMENT ONE FINACIAL SERVICES for fbnquest mmf, United capital Trustees/Abacus money market funds for Abacus money market fund etc.
We have the regulators the almighty SEC to take care of compliancy and other government policies in that regard, plus others - Registrars (record keepers of unit holders), Auditors
So, if the fund managers goes down which is very rare, your funds is with the custodian and the Trustees is there to do the needful.
What the fund manager does is giving financial service which you pay for and to give financial advice for you to get best returns for your money following the objectives of the type of fund in question.
An example is the Union trustees mixed funds. There seems to be issues with the fund management since 2014. But the fund is intact cos the underlying assets are there. It’s just of recent a new fund manager is picking them up and they are starting where others stop. In fact I posted the notice of their AGM for year 2014 till 2019 on this thread recently.
The same thing with equities you buy on the NSE, if the stockbroking firm going down it has nothing to do with your equities they are safe with the cscs as the depository. All you need do is to go to another firm if your current firm goes down and you are good to go, your stocks are intact. You will notice even if your firm goes down you will still get dividends paid to your account indicating you are still a shareholder of the company you invested in.
However, if you invest in a mutual fund which is equity based, the risk is higher. You can actually lose your money. Capital, Interest or returns are not guaranteed in that case. If you notice currently most of equity-based funds are having negative yields because the stock market is down.
Also if you invest in a particular company listed or unlisted as a an investor, if the company goes under your money goes under as a shareholder, that is the risk involved. For example, just as there is nothing like Bank PHB, skye bank or Afribank so also the investors have lost all their money.
In conclusion, if you made investment in a company and the company goes down your money goes down with it as a shareholder in that company
But if you made investment through a company (Fund manager or stockbroking firm) your investment is safe even if the company goes down. I hope this help.
And one more question on this, please. Where does a person go in the event that the firm or fund manager that was in charge of a fund folded?

I don't think a CSCS account applies to this, or does it?

To open any of AMMF/VGIF or both at the same time, click on the link on my signature, pm me or call. You need to upload on the last page of the form the following:
1.passport,

3. utility bill - NEPA bill or payment slip of pre-paid meter
4. your signature signed on a plain sheet.
When you submit, an email to acknowledge receipt of your form will be sent to you. Thereafter, you get your account details and the fund manager's account you are to deposit your fund into. If there is no kyc issues within 24hrs you get your account details. You can then download the app and set it up on your phone with your account details.
NB: You don't need money to open any of the fund account.

To help my ministry as a sales person please always use the link on my signature when opening any of the accounts. That is how I can meet up target. Thank you.
Good morning, sir. Two questions:

1. Do you have any investment product that pays a fixed income? If yes, which?

2. Is there a way to indicate you as a referrer if I were to open an account and choose the option of physical submission of documents (not online)?

Thanks for the comprehensive explanation, sir. It's clearer now.

Of course, I was aware of the other risks (although I think I overlooked something like the bank example). It was just the fund manager part that was confusing and you have helped to clarify that. I appreciate.

There's something I need anyone to explain more to me, please.

Is there any sort of safeguards when dealing with institutions dealing in mutual funds and securities?

To make this clearer, if someone invested in mutual funds or securities in Company A and, maybe a few years later, the company folded. What happens to the investment you made in or through it?

Health › Re: What To Do When Snake Bites You And There Is No Hospital Nearby? by U1(m):
fkj950ax:
https://www.africansnakebiteinstitute.com/snakebite/

Snakebite Symptoms
Snakebite symptoms vary dramatically from bite to bite. Many snakebites take place so quickly that victims are not always certain that they have actually been bitten. A bite mark is seldom the characteristic two-fang puncture mark – more frequently, a bite will be from a single fang and will just be a scratch with a little bleeding.

In the event of a snakebite, the victim may have some of the following symptoms
– An immediate burning pain, followed by swelling, which progresses up the limb and may affect the lymph glands (the Puff Adder and the Mozambique Spitting Cobra).
– Dizziness, difficulty in swallowing and breathing, drooping eyelids and nausea (the mambas and the Cape Cobra).
– Bleeding from the nose, small cuts, followed by bleeding from the mucous membranes and, after several hours, severe internal bleeding (the Boomslang and the Twig Snake).
– Shock, which can cause nausea, pain and difficulty in breathing.

In the Event of A Snakebite DO NOT…
– DO NOT try to cut or suck out the venom
Snake venom very quickly attaches to the local tissue and is absorbed into the lymphatic system and very little venom can be removed by suction. Cutting may expose the wound to secondary infection.

– DO NOT apply any electric shock therapy
Electric shocks do not neutralise snake venom.

– DO NOT apply a tourniquet
Arterial or venous tourniquets are not advised in most bites as venom is initially transported largely through the lymphatic system and not through veins. There is no evidence that a tourniquet could be life-saving following a snakebite.

– DO NOT apply ice or warm water, lotion or potions
Leave the bite site alone, except for cleaning it with cool water and applying a sterile gauze dressing. Warm water does not denature snake venom. Do not give the victim alcohol.

– DO NOT inject antivenom as a first aid measure
If required, antivenom must be injected intravenously by a medical doctor in a hospital environment and usually in large quantities. Anaphylactic shock can be a serious side-effect which may be fatal if not treated promptly.

First Aid Measures for Snakebite
– Get the victim to a hospital as soon as possible and in a safe manner
Keep the numbers of the closest hospital (with a trauma unit) and ambulance service on your cell phone and call ahead to notify them of the victim’s situation. The navigational App Waze is very handy – type in ‘hospital’ or ‘doctor’ and the closest facilities will be listed immediately with details.

– Keep the victim calm and as still as possible
Muscle contractions speed up the movement of venom in the lymphatic system. Immobilise the victim, lay the victim down if possible and transport (or arrange transport) to the closest hospital. Elevate the affected limb slightly above heart level.

– Remove rings and tight clothing
If bitten on the hand, arm, foot, or lower leg, remove rings, bangles, bracelets, watches, anklets and any other tight jewellery, as well as tight clothing and shoes.

– Apply pressure bandages
If you are more than an hour or two from the closest medical facility, consider applying pressure bandages to the affected limb, but only in suspected Mamba or Cape Cobra bites. Please see section on Smart Bandages.

IMPORTANT Do not waste valuable time applying a pressure bandage – immediately transport the patient to the nearest hospital with a trauma unit and, if possible, apply the pressure bandage whilst travelling.
Isn't the bold portion counterintuitive? Just wondering. huh

Ten06:
I was traveling with a friend when he became pressed and decided to use the bush to relieve himself, that was how he ran out that a snake has bitten him.
As we were contemplating what what to do a local man came out of one village nearby and we explained our predicament to him.
He enter the bush and came out with a plantain leave, the top soft new growth part of the leave, he cut the middle stuck out and gave to my friend to continue sucking it and be swallowing the liquid.
He now went inside the bush again and came out with live tolls (those one that look like snail but are smaller, the ones we use to play when we were in primary school) he started using the flesh of the small snail (tolls) to rub the position of the bite continously.
At a time my friend wanted to vomit but he continued encouraging him to suck hard and swallow.
After about 30mins my friend became stable, we then thank him as he rejected our monetary offer.
Up till now my friend didn't bother to see a doctor despite my advice for him to do so
It's partly that kind of man (the local man) that sometimes makes me yearn for the good old village life. The so-called "civilised" life isn't really the best IMHO.

But we move!

I just saw it the other time. The comment was based on the associated condition:

"Dynadot is offering $5.99 .COM registrations all of March with coupon MARCH599COM! Please note this excludes re-registrations.

What is considered a re-registration?

When domains are released from the central registry back to the public for registration, there is a window where they qualify as re-registrations.

Domains within the re-registration time frame are identified as domains previously registered, whereas domain names registered after the re-registration period are seen as brand new registrations (i.e. not previously registered).

The re-registration window starts from the time the domain name is released and goes until 11:59 EST that same day."

When there is a story behind a sale, there are things I learn. but telling me Gwarimpacarpetcleaning sold for x amount, hold time 5days does me no good. I dont come here for such sales report. I come here for the Q & A.

This is your model to learn from sales to be able to come up with names. it works for you, stick to it. I dont subscribe to it, I learn from news articles, comments on forums etc Pls go to Namebio, Its a robust database of sold domain name by niche, category, tld, date, year etc it will help you alot since sales report motivates you.

For Newbies: Define your objective, what do you want out of this business? The answer to this will determine how you go about it and save you from frustration.

I made a decision mid last year, not to register Geo names again and not to renew them when they expire.(I renewed just one). I didnt like the time i was putting into getting enduser contacts and time to send outbound mails. it was serious work for me. So i resolved to stick to brandable and list them on SH,BB,BP thereby relying on their marketing strategy to do all the work for me.

I am ok if the names dont sell or if it takes 3years to sell. My brandables will be renewed for 2-3yrs, then i will drop it if it doesnt sell, for names i acquire for $250 above, hold time will be for 5yrs, before I allow it drop. This was my resolution and i have stuck with it.

To reduce my Renewal Fees, I decided to focus on SH owned names by submitting unregistered names, I get a lower commission if the name sells but I dont have any business with renewal for 3yrs. I am also very ok with this.

I have also made a decision to stop handreg, Now i want to focus on Reseller market on Namepros, BB slack channel and GD closeout. I cant compete with the white folks on GD auctions for now.

This doesnt mean that I wont change or make modifications to the above plans but it shows I have a clear cut objective, so there are so many things that will never apply to me or that I will bother myself about.
Well said, bro. The bold portion right there perfectly captures what I feel. The most frustrating is that something still doesn't come out of the whole efforts in some cases, if not most.

I'm currently on an experiment of sort to determine whether to port away from GEO names.

Attached in the siggy is a recent sale ($169), which I haven't received the payment yet. This was my first sale in almost one and a half year! cheesy

I decided to quote my response to viktor88's sale (in terms of length) to further highlight what I wrote there.

I even just found out that two of my last sales (tucsonarizonalocksmith and huntsvillelawncare both in king) sold for lesser amounts via the same Afternic - the higher was about $109, if I remember correctly.

I'm still learning and it seems I haven't learned much, partly due to lack of enough encouragement.

Here are a few things I have learned from recent experiences:

1. You may want to ignore COMPLETELY what Estibot suggests for geos when trying to price.

2. Don't price your geo names (ideally not longer than 20 characters) less than $150 or thereabouts. Anyone who really wants your names would even pay more. Don't sell yourself short!

3. Afternic, or any platform, that makes your American-centric names more visible to Americans are vital. These people won't even mind paying more on such platforms.

Just my two cents. Bosses in the house, over to you!

U1:
Congrats, bro. More sales.

This sale got me thinking, though. If I had a name this long, $199 is the max I'd price it. Yet, the GEO names I did similar thing with in the past mostly did not get sold. I have even stopped registering names this long. huh

I have followed this blog for year now, but this is my first comment so far because I believe being ghost member while people need an idea to stand upon wouldn't help me in future...

On this 1 million... I will suggest two business for you

1. agriculture, note! Not poultry, you can start up agricultural business like pepper and plantain with 1 acres of land and make double of that 1 million in just 3 to 5 months . But your location being Abuja, this may be kind of stressful for you because I am into it running from Lagos down to ibadan where I have a farm, I know the stress in it

2. You can as well like me start up London use phone with or without experience, note! Not as a retailer who go for a shop, but as a distributor, come to think of it... Samsung Galaxy S8+ London use is sold at around 70k-90k here in Nigeria depending your location while as the price as an importer/distributor you will be getting it as low as 35k-50k from abroad depending on your own source and would be making at least 10k gain from each you sell to retailers here in Nigeria... This one for someone who is engaged already is better than farm..

In any of it that draw your attention, please feel free to contact me through my email agbamskings@gmail.com
I would help as much as I can

I believe that reply indicates that THERE IS NO SHORTCUT in domaining. Just like Promxy94 clearly stated few posts ago.

Even if he spells out the values he looks out for in the metrics you mentioned, you do not just pick names from the top of the result. You still have to base your decision off a mixture of soft skills you must have gathered over time.

If I now say newcomers should start from page 1 and read to whatever is the current page by the time they finish, before buying any name, some people will now say I am harsh.

We forge on sha.

PS:

Many newcomers here think picking a name starts and ends with Expireddomains. This is quite laughable and hilarious. So you go in there, collect a name, and pocket dollars? Well all of us for don hammer since

I once said in an earlier post, if you see a name, research to find out the reason you SHOULDN'T buy the name, instead of reasons to buy the name. If you do not know how to research on a name, you are not ready for this business.

I am still learning but let me give you a peep on websites I have open in my browser any time I have strength to research

Trademarkia
USPTO
Google (All, Images, News, Maps) yes oooo, I check the result across these 4
Statista
Whois
Godaddy
Wayback Machine
Facebook
Twitter
Instagram
Pinterest
Amazon

and lots more (depending on what I am looking at - brandables, keywords, products, services, geo etc.)

My only advice. If you have not read this thread from Page 1 (newcomer or not), START NOW.
But wait o, you sure say the domain name go still dey when you are done with your research on ExpiredDomains names?

There have been times when I saw a name snapped up within just like two minutes of dropping. A good example was AtlantaLaborLawyer in king.

1. Open an online bet account. (I won't mention any as I am not here to advertise.

2. Fund it with the 100k.

3. Look for a 1.05 - 1.10 sure odd and invest in.

100,1000 × 1.10 = 110,000.
You withdraw the 10k and continue the next day.

If you are not greedy, you can steadily make the 10k from the comfort of your house.
You never know as e dey go. You go surprise when "safe" odds of just like 1.016 send your money down the drain.
