masterP042: This covid 19 is not as fatal as media is portraying it to be. The hysteria is much. When there is this much pandemonium and fear, it will be hard for us to approach it sensibly and adequately. Let's just maintain the advice from the medics. Maintain social distance as much as possible, avoid contacts, sanitize your hands and belongings, wash hands with soap and running water, avoid touching the face, wear masks outdoors if u have, and eat well, fruits and vegetables, to build the immune system. Make we no fear, we have seen worse things here in naija, and we've overcome them. Nice one. But this like practically every advice I have come across regarding COVID-19 failed to mention the importance of sufficient, restful sleep. |

Reality11: A guy was asking if an email he got from an acclaimed Japanese broker is legit. People answered that its a certain type of domain scam. In fact they littered the thread with examples of the same types of emails they received which was a scam.
While the screenshot I posted, the guy said the Japanese scam is more slightly better worded than the obvious Nigerian scam attempts.
Someone was just making a reference about scamming and you are asking me if I know or do I have proof that it was a Nigerian that committed the scam.Lol
Did I tell you a Nigerian committed a scam?
You didn't know what was their discussion, you refused to read the thread and you are quoting me.
What fascinate me was that the op tag a certain type of scam "Nigerian"
And its funny that I'll came across a post on namepros where Nigeria is used on the same line with scammers.
I don't know why "Nigerian scammer" would mean different thing. Probably a Russian scammer abi?
And people do specify the scam carried out by individuals they are talking about. E.g Nigerian scammer, Chinese scammer, Japanese scammer, Russian scammer... and don't ask me how I know that, ask them. I didn't see any mention of "Nigerian scammer" on the page I saw; what was there was "Nigerian scam." A quick Google search can at least give an idea of what it refers to! It's actually your "Nigeria everywhere you go," combined with the particular screenshot that made me ask the original question. It seemed accusatory. |

Reality11: Is it the screenshot you didn't understand or the thread. Because it is obvious I ought to be the one asking you that question. What was obvious? Maybe except you know the individual responsible for the scheme. It's disappointing that someone who may actually be a Nigerian thinks this way! Nigerians aren't the only online frauds in the world! Yes, you may say that they are notorious. Perhaps, it's the fact that someone mentioned the Nigerian scam that got you confused. In that post, the individual did not say that's what was happening in this case to start with. And again, the term "Nigerian scam" doesn't necessarily mean the scam is carried out by a Nigerian! |

Benqozenero: Hi Guys,
Our 2nd lesson note on "How to trade the pennant on the 4hr tf" is ready. Though i promised to release it first week of next month but as its ready now, why wait? Email or Whatsapp me to get it for free at no cost. After 24hrs it would be live on Amazon and you may need to pay a token to get it.
I take it upon myself to keep releasing different strategies that work wonderfully to avoid boredom of a trader waiting for just one strategy to give a signal before they can trade the market, that shit brings a lot of frustration and make the trader to start trading without a defined trading plan.
For those that have access to Amazon, i updated the first lesson note. i didn't change anything. i only added one or two more ways to you can also see the market from so you wouldn't miss any opportunity while waiting for a setup to be complete. If you do not have access to Amazon, don't worry. you are fine with the note you have already.

dingbang: Nigerian banks/customers will not adhere to this, dont waste your energy.
The cleaners fail to clean the door handles. In crowded branches, you have customers gumming bodies to each other to withdraw. The management of banks are not helping matters. They should shut banks!!! Nice solution! Sounds like: just let the people die! Did you think such an action would prevent many from getting money to buy food and other necessary stuff? I'm not a doctor, but I don't think poor nutrition is good for the immune system. Abi wetin I know sef. |

[quote author= post=87697674]This sh#t is getting more serious day by day. These are the kinda day to day activities Nairalanders need to be careful about. These are the people majority come in close contacts with as they go about their daily businesses, especially in Lagos. And we still have more of such people listed above (agberos and even your cashier at the bank or that person you address as chairman or madam!) going on their daily business, most of them do not even know they have this virus! What we all need is to be very very careful of our surroundings and staying at home will protect you from the virus more than 90% That should be adhere to. Dexlomo: Poverty will always remain however, the proportion of those living below poverty is what the West strives to reduce. In our case, the number is rising. On the other hand, if you marry you no born, dem go start dey halla you again say wetin you dey wait. Let me just sign off on this matter with this: there's no security in this world. There's no guarantee that you will get all you will ever need before getting married. Also, there have been cases of people for whom things took a dive for the worse after marriage. They were comfortable and well to do before getting married. The key thing is being "responsible." Don't do more than your power can handle. Continue to be better and let God bless the rest. Children are a blessing, for example, but it makes no sense to have many IMHO. No security in this world, sire. The current coronavirus virus outbreak has already altered the financial situations of some and looks likely to do more in the coming - no one envisaged it. Only God takes care of us. Seeking His guidance is the most important thing. If he gives the go-ahead, just forget about other seeming impediments. |

Dexlomo: Hmmm...….yet we want to end the poverty in the land, the child molestation we read about, the increasing number of miscreants etc. How do we intend achieving this if we encourage this lifestyle? It's not about encouraging a kind of lifestyle, but about making a point. Getting married doesn't necessarily mean starting to roll out the children immediately by the number. Besides, I am an advocate of about three kids being enough per family and that's even for "comfortable" families. But I don't think I completely understand your point about ending poverty in the land. You think that's possible in a country like this with many over-selfish people? Think again. Poverty still exists in the US! |

Impostor: Husband and wife on 25k? Nobody wants to live that kind of life. It's a life of struggle. In Lagos, 20k out of that 50k will go for transportation. You will have 30k left. What about rent? A good sef con will take 200 & 1 bedroom apartment cost 300/350k. So what's the point? You see that's what I was saying about taste. It doesn't have to be both of those two examples. If you'd be spending 20k on fare in a month, you shouldn't be paying so much on rent. That much on transport makes more sense for someone living on the outskirts, where accommodation is typically cheaper. It's either this or that. Those husband and wife most certainly would have lived in a "face me and face you" kind of place. A life of struggle? What are most Nigerians used to? The struggle still doesn't stop them from making children, even too many in some cases. |

@Impostor...that username, though. I agree with a major thrust of your post: getting married earlier if you're lucky to have a supportive partner. It reminds me of a topic I created last year. Lucky that you finally got a decent job. There are many guys out there who are still unmarried because they don't have such. Good luck. But that your friend, though. Complaining about 50k for a teaching job in a country where teachers (especially those in private schools) are underpaid? The typical salary I hear about is between 20k and 40k. You may even be surprised that some of these teachers are family people with children. Hugo55: And am 36 no better job, no girlfriend, socially awkward. what a life. Keep moving on, soldier! Don't let that get you down. Just keep trying to do something positive with your time and to be better. Things will fall into place. About being socially awkward; I believe that can improve when you are more financially stable. But, please, don't do anything bad to get there. Bless. Gandollaar: See Lamentations!!

KushCollectible: I invested in this guys agriculture business last year.
It was to be for 5 months to cultivate corn and sell when it is dried, and I was to get my returns by October ending 2019.
Since then it has been one excuse or the other, until his number stopped going through and my messages on Whatsapp stopped delivering.
I strongly believe he blocked my number because I messaged him with a friend's number on Whatsapp and the message delivered with double ticks. After that, consequent messages stopped delivering.
CC....bidosko, U1, healthserve, wealthyhrt , Yours na just small case, albeit more recent. I was a member of a so-called Billion Naira Project Cooperative (or something), which I learned about from one Jackson right here on Nairaland. I think he used the now inactive/deactivated account "tuege." I don't have time to go after the fellow (not Agbaje) yet. I think I got some info about him back then, from personal research. I invested through that guy in Agbaje's cassava farm along with more than 20 others in early 2018. That's the last we saw of our money, or so it seems. Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news.
