Actually the pope's carriage is usually moderate, you can go to youtube and check out the poor 'apostolic palace' the past popes lived in, the present one lives in a guest house, he uses a tiny car and fly in a public plane. The vatican has good investments but none of the popes will be among the richest because church money is n ot pope's money. He does not go abt amassing wealth.

I wont excuse teachers fraudulently extorting students and parents or ill have to give every corrupt institution a pass. If UBEC covers these costthey have no business committing these crimes. Schools are funded through Tax revenue by the people who live there. The state and local governments supposed to budget every year to pay for these items. Use property taxes to fund education.

UBEC does not cover those costs, so what do you want the teachers to do?

Sometimes I don't blame the teachers for requesting exam fees from pupils. Many a time, these schools don't even get a dime from the government as operational funds.

These government officials should stop doing eye service and man up to their portfolios.

A catholic priest in a contemplative community sometimes is NOT entitled to ANY allowance at all. no personal bank account

In a active religious congregation like d jesuits the priest will submit his entire allowance to his superior and his superior can find him 5k as stipend. His superior will use d allowance for whatever is needed. no personal bank account.

But diocesan priest have allowance and can recieve gifts etc and can operate an account, if u have a ministry like mbaka u may even own a business venture, or u can work in schools, university, hospitals or any service oriented organisation.

I thought he was a rich guy who was invited by the church for a fund raiser, he accepted the invitation and refused to donate, offering instead to see the priest personally. The priest refused the personal idea and told him to tell it to the people of God, d whole thing went south and obi was accused of been stingy and was told what stinginess can cause.
