This might sound very odd but it was saved many families from this same problem.

Let him pee on hot charcoal fire before going to bed at night.

He will feel very hot anytime he wants pee on himself this will prompt him to wake up automatically and that is the end of the story

Stop peddling this kind superstitious beliefs in this 21st century.

Don't allow him get to the uni and disgrace himself.
You said he isn't remorseful? He maybe dying in shame and remorse, but he's not showing it. He's probably repressing his feelings. That young man is most likely depressed, he's just trying not to show it by playing everything cool. Help him! Things like this can make one suicidal.

My suggestions To Help him:
1) Assure him of your love and support. Don't guilt trip him.

2) build his self esteem. He's fighting more demons than meets your eyes.

3) eliminate dinner after 5pm. Yes 5pm.

4) no drinking of liquid once it's past 6pm, no matter how thirsty he is.

5) don't give him heavy food like akpu or garri and soup at night. Intact if possible, eliminate swallow from his diet now.

6) train his bladder muscles; during the day, when he's pressed, he should hold the urine for an hour or more before urinating. He should do this repeatedly. Please do this it's important.
7) buy him an alarm clock. For now, sleep in the same room with room and wake him when the alarm rings. Set it at 1 hour interval. Do this until he learns to wake himself when the alarm rings.

8.) commend him when you see progress

Do all these and he's sure to overcome this phase.
All the best.

Travel / Re: Stop Going To France To Study If You Are Not Finacially Okay: My Personal Story by ucham: 6:12pm On Sep 27, 2019
ShyWhale:

You people "misuse this doing well". I'm in Hamburg earning over €1800 a month. To many others, it may be doing well. To me, it's not. Considering my expertise, the kind of job I'm doing, lifestyle I'm used to in Nigeria and elsewhere and many others.

Your friends may not be as highly educated as this individual, may not be as skilled as this individual or they may not have bigger goals as this individual or are very contented in doing blue-collar jobs. They can also be in a better position professionally but I think doing well should be dependent on individual indicators. I know so many people in Nigeria would die to earn the €1800 that is making me a bit depressed same as many who would consider such an offer shameful . So doing well is relative to every individual and should not be used in general terms.

electromagnito, I can relate to your experience. I also finished from a French University technically as part of a Joint program though but my grades are in the French system also.Yes, I spoke French up to B1 level and I had to run with my tails from France. So many things against you PROFESSIONALLY as a Black African coupled with the covert racism in that place. But I have to disagree with you, it is very very hard to get a professional job after study but not impossible.

Also, I want to congratulate you on ending up with a grade point of 12+ considering how bad French grading is. You hit the minimum for PhD studies across the world but I still think you have an edge when it comes to doing a paid PhD in France. With a strong Undergraduate CGPA, you have more than enough chances in places like the US, Canada, Switzerland and the UK where the undergraduate grades also play an important role in the PhD process. But please, my advice is for you to write GRE and apply to US schools for PhD. Most of the funded positions will be closing by end of December / Early January. Run from Europe as far as you can if you're better than blue-collar jobs.

P. S. If you need a change of environment for now, you can consider the Netherlands Orientation Visa (check if your university is eligible). It costs €171 euros and does not require any proof of funds.
Great piece of advice

Even South Africa has critical skills visa too stealing us all...

By time you add the figures for above

Travel / Norway Student Visa Enquiries by ucham: 9:16pm On Aug 10, 2019
Hello and welcome.

I have searched Nairaland, and I've noticed that there's no thread that discusses in extensive details things to do to get a Norwegian study Visa.

We would really appreciate it if those with the required know-how can explain from scratch procedures to secure admission, fees to be paid or lack of it, documentations required for visa procurement and what to expect.

We would also value inputs from those who are living there who can inform the house on the living condition there, whether students can merge school and work, how much of a factor is the language barrier for international students especially for students doing postgraduate studies whose language of taught is English.

Are there provisions for students to take language classes during the duration of their study?

If there are questions I missed which you feel should be addressed, please feel free to raise it up.

Thanks

Incorrigible rants... Wetin concern the discourse of my point with Asari Dokubo? same Asari that claims to be Biafran and wouldn't spare any chance in lambasting your people when he wants? very vacuous reasoning from you. I dare you to mention all the indices of achievements attainable- both global or local, that has any bloody Yoruba dominating the Igbos!! (please list them out now)and let's start to compare. Thank God for facts and figures, your unassailable delusions will be bursted in just a matter of minutes... gone are the days when your Ibadan expressway propaganda held sway. You guys are just purveyors of noise making, I'm glad you recognized the fact that your region was stuck in the oasis of opposition for years, most notably because you were sidelined from the corridor of power SIMPLE. Even the Obasanjo that enjoyed two consecutive terms rode on the back of Igbo votes, you people have never been genuine power brokers in the political equation in Nigeria and larger scheme of things , just pretenders who hid behind opportunities to somehow get a sniff at power(Fulani dey use una brains dey play ten-ten just to consolidate their gains on the orbits of power), sane scenario will play out again come 2023. I maintain that you facetious bastards are the weakest link in the South, you are the only people from the South to lose a whole territory to the Fulani, only region to have its most notable leaders killed by the Fulani junta without doing, anything, your useless ape of a leader called Tinubu is ready to kiss Buhari's aSS even while his region has been taken over by Fulani herdsmen, I could on and on. You idiots have never stood for anything, absolutely nothing! that's why it's easy for the Fulani to hold sway over the rest of the country cause you sell-outs will always pander to them when they want power like miserable kittens, and then get crumbs as usual. The Igbo man will continue to be your eternal nightmare, look at these clown daring to call his pathetic tribe top tier, I laugh in mandarin grin, you people are the biggest joke ever, you've got nothing to fall back on when Sh1t hits the ceiling, besides empty noise of "sophistication", and all that nonsense.
Nice one bros.

I appreciated every line, but this I appreciated most "Thank God for facts and figures, your unassailable delusions will be bursted in just a matter of minutes... gone are the days when your Ibadan expressway propaganda held sway."

Truly gone are the days of their nonsense rhetoric of being leaders in education. With the half-baked education Awo gave them, where they have certificate professors who can neither speak correctly nor enunciate their words properly without spitting gibberish grilled with a very thick Yoruba accent.

Igbo's have always been republican and we know what we stand for. No blood of cowardice or slavish 'dobale' (ikporo mmadu isi na ala) mentality.

Igbo's have the best standard of living and quality of life in Nigeria. My brother you really need to go to Abeokuta and Ikenne and see this people living like slaves. They are so lazy and laid back. I've never seen a people more lazy.

If not for indigenization policy scam where they took all private companies from the whites in the 70's ,they would be worse than the Hausa 'S because the Hausa's are far more hard working than these lazy bunch.

Apart from office work and entertainment, you can't see their youths engage in hardwork. In the Southwest, other ethnic groups do the hardwork while they wait to collect tax and revenue.

Everywhere you go to in Ibadan is an eyesore. Brown roofs everywhere, no toilets. People poo in nylon bags and swing like shot-put.

If you then go to the village parts in the south west, ooh my goodness, it's worse. These people are damn dirty. No good house anywhere.

Very beautiful.

One thing I love about states in the east is that our communities are very homogeneous, 95 - 98% Igbo population, our cultural sites are preserved, we have very industrialized cities yet we maintain our cultural heritage; Very beautiful village settings with mansions for houses, very green and serene environments.

It is u and ur people that is wretched, what are u refugees doing in our land? Why can't u stay in ur barren land so erosion will wash all of u away, an average yoruba man is 3 times better than ur people that Ikpeazu have killed with kerosene in Abia.
Unlike your ilk, the Igbo man is well travelled, so there's nothing the yoruber media can say to distort reality. Come to any state in the south east and see if it's people are not better than those in your shithole.
Yoruber land is an eyesore rickety brown roof shambles called houses. Houses in any village, not even the city in the east, is by far better than anything your generation would ever have. I have Yoruber acquaintances who have been to the east and never want to leave because of the standard of living, the quality of food, and the quality of life.

Unlike you, I am well travelled, and I will tell you that your people live in abject poverty in Abeokuta and Ikene. Even in your villages we run the timber business and pharmaceutical businesses.

Go hug transformer if the truth pains you.

SHUTUP!!!

When Igbos were fighting for their own freedom via IPOB protesting against Buhari's dictatorship and tribalistic leadership some years back, what happened You same Yorubas were jubilating and cheering the Nigerian army to continue killing innocent unarmed IPOB youths who were not carrying any arms or weapon....you lots were busy posting videos and pictures of your army python dancers humiliating unarmed civilians protesting for freedom...and now you expect sympathy or pity or cooperation or whatever from the same people you mocked during their own struggle...you are the foolish, pathetic mor***on here if you don't know.

Again you guys had the opportunity to change the useless, old man's failed government this year, what happened? because of your kinsman Osinbajo and Tinubu's political interest, you blatantly voted the same old man in and even attacked Igbos in Lagos for trying to come out en mass to vote out this same Jihadist you are now pretentiously trying to start a fake revolution against, nansense people!!!

No revolution will work in Nigeria, you can bookmark this page...its a waste of time and energy and resources...if you guys truly want change in Nigeria, then fight for peaceful division of Nigeria into as many regions that wish to form their own nation as possible or at worst, fight for Nigeria to restructure and go back to regional system of government with each region having their own autonomy and government, if not, all these pretentious revolution by a former political thug of the same people in power today won't work.

Sowore is only trying to make himself the most popular young Presidential aspirant come 2023 so that by then, majority of Nigerians will queue behind him and vote for him to become Nigeria's president in the pretest that he led a revolution against Buhari's bad government, but I tell you, the oracle of Bourdillion, the former drug baron cum political godfather known as BAT will rather die than see Sowore snatch away his Southwest political popularity at the moment!

So go and sit down one place!! Wicked, selfish people who only want people to pity them when they are crying but will mock others when they are cryingangry angry
